Jerry Cantrell talking about breaking his hand in 2001

This is from Jerry’s 2002 promotional interview for Degradation Trip.
He was asked about the worst physical pain he ever felt, then tells the story of how he broke his hand in the middle of a 2001 tour.
He broke his hand on May 3, 2001 after playing the Crown Royal Festival in the Field at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky (the home of the Kentucky Derby). Then he played one show after that, with his broken hand in cast and unable to play guitar, on May 5, 2001 in Atlanta. All shows after that were canceled, then Jerry returned to the stage on June 30, 2001 after recovering from the injury.

I am recovering from fracturing my finger and messing the tendon, I did not have sugerory, it was in a sling for 8 weeks and I have to wear it at night for a month. My finger is bent but I am able to play guitar thank God, it hurts, but I have to work on it every day. Thanks for the video it will help me heal.
