Thanks so much for showing us this wonderful tour, my husband and myself have booked up and are off to Slovenia in September. We’d never have known about it without this series. Can’t wait 😀😀
Amazing footage, thank you so much Andy. Martin and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this series. Happy summertime memories. Sterling job, yet again, well done.
Really nice that you enjoyed Slovenia and our roads which I think a pretty nice for motorcycle. Just cant wait for the season to begin. Grettings from Slovenia and I hope you return back someday and ride some more.
That was a very good series, I agree, That is a very beautiful area to travel in and all the way down the coast .. When I was in Slovenia I kept expecting to see Julie Andrews sprinting across those meadows in full song ..
Slovenia is beautiful, 2 years ago we spent few days riding there on our European tour. Visited Lake Bled, Kranjska gora, over Vrsic pass along Soca valley on to Italy and Austria
The reason for the cobbles, granite sets actually, on the corners of the Virsic pass is that the road was originally built by the military and the large and sometimes tracked vehicles would just rip up tarmac, cobbles are more durable. My wife and I rode the pass on a K1600GT, from Kranjska Gora over to Bovec in 2014, lovely part of the world.
A beautiful trip, this was the best part (but I enjoyed all other parts, too). Just a correction: 9:46 - you were still quite far away from Vršič pass at that point. You rode from Bohinj Lake up to Pokljuka plateau first, and then down on the other side. The climb to Vršič Pass only begins at 20:35. Also, you can just scratch the surface a little bit in three days. Even though Slovenia is tiny, it requires a couple of weeks at minimum to do it justice. I have lived here my whole life, and still haven’t seen everything.
The scenery just got better and better at the end of the series. Enjoyed the vids, that 10% off for mentioning TMF sounds a really great offer. Looking forward to your next tour series.
It all looks so pristine and spectacular! I'm still sad that I only managed to see a small corner of Slovenia as I was on the way to Croatia. Might have to revisit, perhaps even on the way to the Dolomites, which I also haven't seen yet! Great work TMF, cheers!
You missed few lovely places. We love Slovenia with my wife, been there many times and there is still much to see. Never been there on a motorcycle which is a real bummer..
The Dolomites are about 250 millions years old and are composed mainly of sedimentary rocks and limestone. Today, we can hardly imagine that once the mighty mountains were an enormous coral reef, formed in the primordial ocean called Tethys. .
Thanks for posting. Good thing those cobblestone road was dry. I once was forced to stop on a cobblestone road in Spain going uphill. The road was oily. Once I reached a full stop, the bike started sliding downhill in "reverse". A bit unnerving. :) Great video as usual.
Thanks TMF it’s been very enjoyable to watch this tour. I’m very envious of you mate just wish I had made the effort years ago to stretch my legs a bit father.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolomites The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. They form a part of the Southern Limestone Alps and extend from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley (Pieve di Cadore) in the east. The northern and southern borders are defined by the Puster Valley and the Sugana Valley (Italian: Valsugana). The Dolomites are nearly equally shared between the provinces of Belluno, South Tyrol and Trentino.
It’s a shame your itinerary didn’t allow you to go to Trieste in Italy which has a beautiful old town and Lipica just over the border which is where the Lipizzaner horses are bred. Cracking tour videos! We have a factory in Trieste and the whole region is spectacular
I went to Kranjska Gora skiing, once back in the old days before the war when it was still Eastern Bloc. Of course I didn't see much but mountains and snow.
I did this one (Vrsic) couple of year ago quite early in the morning, there was less traffic, but have to say the hairpin with cobblestone has their appeal, the old san Gottardo road has them too. And the road (Sella Predil) that go throu italy and slovenia (did this one too the same year) has some kind of quirk as Italy take care of the slovenian side and vice versa...

Sadly so few places allow you to fly drones these days - I still have it and am raring to go but it's becoming more and more difficult to legally fly them...

It is certainly much less one-dimensional as some of the land-locked countries... I won't mention any names....
Slovenia is awesome although I've out never ridden my bike there as I now live in the USA. Only flown my paraglider there. Another bucker list item for you is the Needles Highway in South Dakota. It is certainly much less one-dimensional as some of the land-locked countries... I won't mention any names....
hi no swimming lol ?
Slovenia is awesome although I've out never ridden my bike there as I now live in the USA. Only flown my paraglider there. Another bucker list item for you is the Needles Highway in South Dakota. This is an unbelievable ride and had the opportunity to ride it when crossing the USA back in 2015. If you get a few minutes you should check it out in my little video of it. vimeo.com/135838191
Cheers Iain, would love to do some US trips in future!
I got so confused hearing your voice and seeing you drive on the right side of the road.... Just felt so wrong.
Same for the people from continental Europe when he is riding in the UK. I know what you feel☺
@@humanbeing1675 Nah, I am a right side driver myself, but TMF (almost) always drives on the left side, so now hearing him while seeing him drive on the right caused a cognitive dissonance.
