the perfect damned if you do, damned if you don't commander, I love it! All the bouncer ETB creatures or instant/sorcery retrievers. With equipments that do critical effects on combat dmg vs players. Oh the sweet cornelian dilemmas that will ensue
I love this card, I tend to really like blue cards that tend to encourage more aggressive play, Blue aggressive decks can be really fun and to me I would probably have this commander be more aggressive, alot of enter the battlefield like effects that bounces other creatures opponents control, making cards I control unblockable, tapping enemy creatures, that sorta style, using the card draw to keep the pressure up and the bounce to keep control. I know this is a bit of a tangent, but while thinking about this, a thought occured, maybe something like that could be a directed simic style decks could go a little more? Like right now all Blue and green do together is draw cards and ramp, maybe something like this could be explored? More midrange with big stompy creatures from green, with blue clearing the way and drawing cards to keep the tempo up. I don't know, just a random idea
Thanks Just last week I made a Yuriko deck. A more tribal one, instead of full OMG Combo with outrageously costed spells and the like. I was thinking of using just Grazilaxx, Krydle and Rogue Class from that set. But now after watching your video, you made me remember that wonderful card that is Teferi's Veil. It completely slip out of my mind, and it just resolves one of my problems with tribals; Boardwipes. Now I'm gonna go and get a set for my tribal decks~
This is a really cool deck, I was looking for a Blue Tempo deck in the Foundations era and this with Neon Dynasty looks to have a lot of upgrades available
Goes straight into my Yuriko deck, redundancy to Cunning Evasion that also has a very reliable draw effect on it? Count me in. But your approach to a mono-blue Tempo deck with him as the commander is also really nice, it is a playstyle that blue often has, but does not translate too well to edh. With this deck, it does
love this deck! Been thinking about creating another deck and I want to do something fun! What do you think about a Nin, the Pain Artist deck (thats secretly a brash taunter and stuffy doll deck)?
Hey, loving your videos! I really like this commander and I generally like sneaky combat shenanigans and would very much like to build it. However my play group plays rather high powered decks and I'm not actually clear on how to win with this deck. By turn 6-7 I could be staring at 40000 goblins from Krenko, 10 dragons from Ur-Dragon, Isshin can be hammering me with double combat triggers and the Sythis player has 90 life or so. So hwo do I win? Do I just turn creatures sideways?
Decks like this make you the goat. Grazilaxx is definitely one of the coolest commanders from this set. Edit: Also there isn’t many monoblue mutate cards, but some might find a home here.
I was looking at building this commander because I like attacking in EDH, but I was thinking about how to win, which always is kind of a trouble in mono-blue, unless you are going infinite or using Thassa's Oracle/Lab Man/Jace. My meta is more casual so I didn't want to go that route. So I was a little disappointed you didn't really include the win, which is an integral part of any deck. Yuriko, a very similar commander, can drain life points, but Grazilaxx cannot. Any ideas on how would you expect this deck to actually win?
the idea is that after they're already in play they work great with grazilaxx because if they become blocked later on you can return them to hand and ninjutsu them again.
theres actually 3 points you can ninjutsu, after blockers are declare, after first strike damage, and after regular damage. a.k.a. any time during the attack phase after blockers are declared.
I tried Nadir Kraken in my Graz list and my conclusion is this: it is draft chaff. It's far too mana-intensive for what it does. It could possibly be good in a big-mana blue deck that desperately needs blockers . . . perhaps Arcanis . . . but frankly, blue has much better things to do than pay 1 for a +1/+1 counter on a non-evasive body and a 1/1 with no abilities.
I love this new commander. Plan on putting him in the 99 of Arcades.
damn good call

Definitely have to find a spot for this mindflayer in particular in my Livio // Esior bootleg Brago deck.

Notif squad, love you Demo ♥️
Panharmonicon to double up on reusable etb-effects, flash creatures and adventure creatures.
Majestic ! Time to put a cage on our head.

dope Blue card but i would probably add him to my Otrimi/Zexara Sultai
The only card from the set I truly want :D
Will gralizzax see each opponent dealt damage, and therefore draw you up to three cards per turn?
it should trigger for each player you hit, yes.
Two other cards to suggest, Thalakos Seer and Looter il-Kor. Both shadow creatures.

Does ninjutsu work? I thought you can only ninjutsu after blockers are declared?
Yeah you're right, but that's how he's saying it would work. You could only ninjustu if they go unblocked
