Yatterman Night is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara who directed the Black Clover anime and the action scenes for the Chainsaw Man anime.
You’re right. I was originally going to mention that, as I had previously talked about Yoshihara in my Chainsaw Man video, but it got cut :/
that is such an odd night and day example you provided.
I'm a little late, but Ryu Nakayama, director of chainsaw man, animated a ton of cuts for this anime too
no wonder it sounds like peak then! (huge black clover fan)
45:55 "HE'S ALL TOP TEN CHARACTERS BTW" COULDN'T AGREE MORE.
I think it would have been way cooler if Yatterman Night was about the pitfalls of monarchy or something. Like, even if the original Yattermen were good guys, and decided to rule the land, there's no guarantee their descendants will share their ideals. It's even possible that in order to maintain peace and live up to their ancestors' legacy, the descendants of the Yattermen overdid it with security and surveillance and became a dystopian fascist state or something.
I had something written about your idea that I ultimately cut. Basically, throughout the show they talk a lot about preventing cruelty and injustice. It's basically the motivation for all of the main characters. And doing something like you say, where the villains had that same motivation, and it slowly drove them into a dictatorship, would've tied everything together really well.
@@Lextorias I'm sure part of it is that they didn't want to piss off the people who were actually fans of the original by making the legacy of the original heroes that people grew up with into something "bad"
@@takanara7 That is surely a big part of why it was written like that. But if they didn't want to play around with legacy, they shouldn't have made it one of the central themes of the show
The ending feels like they had the idea for this big twist from the start, and despite any actual character or story development during the writing process, they stuck to that original “it was the original big bad guy all along” twist.
@Lextorias i think you gotta stop cutting stuff and just make the vid longer😂
I'm so glad you liked The Girl Who Lept Through Time! And what a wonderful coincidence that it would pick my recommendation out of 20-something-thousand choices. It is a lovely movie
Studio Orange decided to start using 3D animation in Land of the Lustrous and they were so incredible at it that everything they've done since has been in the same style - and all of them have looked fantastic.
(Yes, I am still on my hands and knees begging for LotL season 2)
I would sell my soul to see the whole manga animated
They didn't start there. They were already a CGI studio before that, I know they did work on Kuromukuro and its mechs.
I'm praying with you bother!
the producer on a podcast mentioned they have no control over green lighting season 2s of anything since they just get hired to make the shows basically.
God I just finished that show and the whole S1 seems like world-building for the rest of the series in retrospect. Such an interesting, well-executed (so far) idea
I hope trigun stampede gets more recognition
@@mkzhero Yup. 90's version was way more better looking
@@mkzhero as a much better, not ooc version compared to 90s shit show
@@mkzhero no
Trigun Stampede is more like in the manga
98 version is a shitty parody with "womanizer" bit out of the blue to cater for dudebros
Sorry this is NOT good writing. So stop being a stuck up jerk driven by nostalgia
@@Kombo4196 Not just better looking, better made in general.
@@mkzhero trashing on it just to trash on it.. as a person who only watched the new one BECAUSE i love trigun, i think the biggest mistake you made was going into watching it expecting it to be some kind of magical perfect recreation of the show you already like. But thats pointless, if you dont go into things with those kinds of expectations you’ll enjoy them more.
I went into it with the mindset that “this is a modern rendition of trigun” that way i could be ok with the changes, like the character design. The animation is beautiful, and even though there were changes i really disliked, (eg milly, and a lot of the “twists” of the og being said in the first ep) i still think it was good
You've inspired me to get back into not only anime but watching people talk about anime... including myself! Thanks for the entertainments
A mature story based on a children's cartoon where the villain gang's descendants are the protagonists with a purpose to go against the now-evil heroes.
What a great premise. I'm actually interested in it
As someone who watched both 1998 trigun and stampede and also read the manga they're all amazing in their own way. There's no point in comparing them each one is enjoyable and tells the story in a different way I recommend watching/reading them all
Still wish we got maximum brotherhood style adaptation. 98 was already mostly anime original and fans have wanted a faithful manga adaptation for 20 years
Man I was one of the people who wrote off Trigun Stampede for being CG so I didn't even really look further into it; I feel stupid for doing that now, when you said it was by the same people as Land of the Lustrous (a show that was an exception to the rule of CG anime being bad usually), then said that the original Manga author was involved, then showed the actual animation from the show being great, it was like that Vince McMahon gif of him getting more and more excited till he falls back in his chair.
Well that's why you don't get to trust what the internet was saying about anything. If you wanted to watch a show/series/movies, i'd recommend to just watch it without any influence. And you'll know the real quality of that show/series/movies without any bias
Ehh besides having good cg I felt like the story and characters were kinda butchered, except knives he was done justice. I’d prefer a maximum adaptation since the manga art can be hard to read and fans have wanted a brotherhood adaptation for 20 years
I wrote it off not only for CG but for being too over the top, like that evil-evil twin in the trailer was such a turn off. Watching this review did not change my opinion, the show is still looking goofy and kinda boring. And if this is GOOD 3D animation, what the bad is then.
@@PinkiePow if you've seen some of the god awful cgi anime's that have been pumped out over the years, you'd know what bad 3d animation is. trigun stampede is absolutely good 3d animation
Trigun is such a strange phenomena. I've consumed the 90's anime, remake and the manga and they are all different in both tone and plot, but still amazing in their own way. Vash is probably one of my favorite protagonists period.
its great because you get to enjoy all 3 without being bored by too much retread!
@@wesleywyndam-pryce5305all the best anime adaptations are faithful 99% of the time. Fans have always wanted a maximum brotherhood adaptation idk why they’d go reimagine again for the 2nd time
Since the trailer, I immediately knew people would just be *straight-up, directly negative* to TRIGUN STAMPEDE.
However, this is Studio Orange we're talking about. A 3D CGI powerhouse of an anime studio. I gave it a shot since I wanted something new and fresh- and boy did I get it.
To be honest, I think this show excels at what it sets out to do- and it hits the mark near perfectly. The visuals, the movement, the emotions, etc., are probably the best that Orange has done, not to mention the insanely talented voice cast. My only complaint was the pacing on early episodes. The finale was borderline bonkers, it was amazing.
Adding the fact that Yasuhiro Nightow, the mangaka himself, is praising STAMPEDE alllll the time when an episode airs, lol.
It just sucks that plenty of people didn't ever give it a chance, and a lot of people were comparing it with 98' TRIGUN, which, I didn't really care. I don't mean that in a negative tone but I *do* want to watch 98' just to see the differences.
Other than that though, I just wish anyone can give this a fair shot.
Edit: some of these replies, Christ... can you lot relax? If you hate it that much, okay then, but just lay out more constructive criticisms instead of shitting on it. I did enjoy this show. It's a 3D anime with soul. I get that the story has problems that are present in modern storytelling, and it isn't everyone's cup of tea. I'm not sure myself on how the original anime/manga goes, but as far as I can tell, this is a story retold. And as someone who doesn't have time for anime/manga nowadays, this was really good. In my spare time I would probably look over the details they left out of it too.
But does it stop me from wanting to watch the 98' anime or read TRIGUN Maximum? Hell no, it doesn't. If TRIGUN STAMPEDE was my entry point in this universe, then so is the 98' anime and Maximum for other people. Man, calm the hell down already.
I'm not mad Studio Orange did a Trigun remake, I'm just mad they keep doing things that aren't Land of the Lustrous season 2 ;_;
All of Trigun slaps so hard. OG Anime, manga and Stampede
Honestly, I recommend getting to '98 Anime and the manga.
I wasn't happy but I watched the whole thing. I hated the animation at first but it grew on me, but though it was not what I liked or wanted.
I hated how straightforward it was. It wasn't bad, but it removed everything special about the first series. The mysteries were gone, the emotional ups and downs were flattened, and the goofball nature of vash was just not there.
I regard its fans as I do the fans of live action bebop or live action ghost in the shell. They like the aesthetic or they like the product without understanding why the original was so special.
It's not even based on the original manga any more than the old series, jsut another adaptation. So saying that is already not giving it a fair shot in terms of expectations. But it seems to do decently in Japan, partly BECAUSE they're not so hung up on obsessive lore pandering, unlike "everyone", that being English-only Adult Swim secondaries on forums.
I don't like Stampede because it's just pointlessly retreading the specific IP, probably in order to seek clout in Western markets that ARE only attractd to old IP, even if it's something like Sonic movie being just as bad as Hop by Illumination. I like shows like Last Exile spoofing on captain Harlock and galaxy express, and I like Soul Eater Not! establishing lore in Fire Force. So I'm NOT hard to please. Stampede just does the ACTUAL thing that AMericans wrongly attribute to "corporate wokeness" because they're too media-illiterate to identify the problem; and that problem IS that audiences reward retreads. They actually CAUSE the problem and try to pin it on wokeness, when the whole thing wouldn't happen if they actually just googled new stuff or used our friendly website we have here.
Even more insidiious is when they prop Lucas and Tarantino as some kinds of genius when all they do is reference media that USA makes difficult to market inside its borders without a big name auteur, like Kurosawa. The same kind of thing when Hollywood borderline banned Anime directors when all the Japanese animation you could find was paid with peanuts to animate Disney Afternoon and Turtles. We have Australia to thank for even THAT happening, and now they're wasting Filipino talent on Velma. And ALL the mooks cry that this "wokeness" just started yesterday and not with Tranformers and Robotech.

Glad you enjoyed Trigun Stampede!
Agreed that it’s a must watch show. It’s kind of ridiculous how slept on it is. I say this as a fan of the OG 98 series as well. I actually think Stampede surpasses it.
Absolutely cannot wait for season 2.
Couldn't agree more!
I watched the 98 anime right before Stampede, and went into it pretty biased because i hard a hard time adapting to the CG, and i came out having loved it so much more (and even more so now, after having read Maximum)
How can stampede surpass it when we barely got much story and no conclusion? Seems like recency bias or you just like the better animation considering it was a prequel and lots of stuff was rushed or changed. 98 had a wonderful story for how far off the manga it went. Which confuses me why they’d go anime original/reimagine twice ina row instead of adapting maximum and giving it the brotherhood treatment it deserves. Fans have been wishing for that for 20 years
@@sharebear421 Because what is there already was executed in a manner that I enjoyed even more than Trigun 98.
Do you think you are going debate me out of my opinion? Don’t be obnoxious.
if only characters didn't look this awful... I can't get over it
@@ModestMouseTrap nope just curious how someone could think a small set up to the actual story surpasses an entire fleshed out story. Too each their own I guess
Ah man, you got super lucky with it giving you The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, such a fantastic movie.
You've definitely sold me on Trigun Stampede, I just finished Beastars and knowing that studio Orange did this one as well it's a must watch at this point
Great video as always, I think this series has a lot of potential, even though it takes a lot of time to make, I always look forward to it :D
Yatterman Night 's premise seems so rad, a bit of a bummer for the twist at the end though. This video has convinced me to check out Trigun Stampede, might as well spend my Sunday watching it.
Trigun STAMPEDE is honestly one of my favourites anime from last season. I love it, and as someone who never watched the original Trigun, it was a complete amazing trip lmao
I 110% recommend diving deeper and trying the 1st anime or the manga when you get a chance, all Trigun is good Trigun. I loved both the original and Stampede, but just a heads up: Roberto is a Stampede-only character and does not show up.
There’s also the movie, Badlands Rumble! It’s a self-contained plot so you don’t need to know anything about the original going in, and it looks fantastic.
@@mop2420 there's a lot more than i thought there was before!!!!! i know the characters in Stampede aren't exactly the same as ones in the og series, but it still sounds cool
@@danybelog and manga is even waaay better tbh
@@sharebear421 bro i think there's something wrong with you. you really replied to a lot of comments praising trigun stampede with your "98 was better, only cgi improved in stampede yada yada". what are you trying to prove? that you're bored and your only hobby is to say YOU don't like trigun stampede? get a life.
this is probably my favorite series you do. i get to learn about completely random weird anime
POG we love Trigun and Trigun Stampede in our household!!
man, I really wish people wouldn't rip into CGI in anime so much... they did that with Chainsaw Man too, and the CG was often nearly imperceptible in that, like, 90% of the time. and Dorohedoro is one of my absolute mega favorite anime, even though the CG on that is older, and definitely has a larger proportion of visible jank. it was really good for the time it was made though! and the show itself is so aesthetically stunning and well written that I cannot imagine getting hung up on that.
on top of that... visuals aren't everything. my other favorite anime of all time, Golden Kamuy, has a supremely unfortunate CGI bear in the first episode, and uses actually bad looking CG for a lot of the animals in the early episodes... it absolutely _KILLS_ me, knowing how many people were probably deterred from the show because of that, and then missed all the amazing writing, and character building, and plot twists, and excellent themes, that are present in the rest of the show. it's seriously one of my favorite examples of how a show can be semi-episodic and make both parts work... like, there's a problem-of-the-episode loose structure that sometimes supports the plot, but each episode is a new puzzle piece that feeds into overarching questions in a really satisfying way... it's just really enjoyable on an episode-to-episode basis, and then it also rewards you greatly for being along for that ride.
(it's also stunning to me that the CGI bear is what's gatekeeping people, and not any of a handful of other things that could reasonably be doing that instead. and no, it's not what you think. idk what you'd think after hearing that, but it's not any of those things. let's just say there is no limit to what this show will treat as a punchline, and there is no anticipating what in the hell the bit is going to be in any given episode. it is so hard to recommend this anime, but I love it so much.)
Bruh your 6 talking about dorohedoro like it's from the 90s, its from 2020 wtf. Dorohedoro is great though fr
@@Yixdy it is great... I guess what I mean is that CGI in anime has made a lot of really fast improvement. so even something from as recent as 2020 can feel like they've come a long way since then. like, even just between 2020 and 2023, MAPPA has clearly refined their method. and while I can imagine people who just don't like CGI in anime ripping on Dorohedoro for looking CGI in some places, I still think it was really good.👍
it can really ruin a masterpiece of a story when done bad, bringing it down from a 10 to a 6 and even when done well it's still jarring. anime almost always uses CG at least nowadays, but when it's a decent chunk it has never been a good thing.
@@lillith7257 I think you're kind of failing to see the bigger picture here... I can tell exactly why they wanted to use CGI on both Dorohedoro, and Chainsaw Man. I mean... just look at the main characters. both Kaiman and chainsaw Denji have very detailed, fiddly designs that would be a nightmare to hand animate. if you insisted that it be done by hand, you would probably end up with no anime at all. and even just looking at the difference in technique between Dorohedoro and Chainsaw Man, you can see how much MAPPA has improved. it's incredibly impressive, especially given the relatively short amount of time between the two series. I honestly think that Dorohedoro is interesting, in part, _because_ you can kind of see some of the limitations of the technique... it feels like a little snapshot of what kind of work was possible at that point in time, and I think that's really neat.
I think what needs to be recognized in this discussion, is that CGI isn't evil... its just a tool. one of many that animators have at their disposal. and it can be used well, or it can be used poorly. to acknowledge one of these things but not the other is just factually false. and even if you can see a technique struggling at the edges of its limitations, it's cool to see what still can be done with it. I think Dorohedoro has an amazing aesthetic, and the story and characters are strong enough that I'd probalby even watch the show if it looked like dog shit... fact of the matter is, it _doesn't_ look like dog shit. it _can_ look a little awkward in motion sometimes, but honestly, that doesn't bother me, given how ambitious of an adaptation it is. all of the environments in Dorohedoro are so richly detailed and full of grungy little touches that make it all feel realistically lived in... and a LOT of the character animation is so jam packed with energy, personality, and details that really make the cast lovable. to clarify: I know these things can be done without CGI as well... I'm just saying that CGI doesn't rob the production of these things, and actually might've made it easier to bring it all together on screen, in this particular case.
and honestly, looking at the Dorohedoro manga... I don't know how else they would've adapted art like that for animation. I think Dorohedoro's manga art style works uniquely well for manga specifically, and if an anime adaptation was ever going to be made, it would need to actually put work into adapting the aesthetic to fit the medium of animation. the CGI approach retains as much of that highly detailed information as possible, and you can tell that the team that worked on this anime really really cared about the source material, based on the omake episode at the end. in that episode, they created a series of short skits where they actually _did_ use 2D illustrations! but they had a more limited type of animation, where the drawings just sort of pop between key frames rather than being 100% animated. but the illustrations maintain a stunning resemblance to the source material, which must've taken a TON of effort, and it's just... really really impressive. and very touching that they'd also include that sort of homage. idk, I just cannot in a million years imagine looking down on that kind of effort and consideration... I had too much fun watching that anime to begrudge it for something like CGI animation.
It's worth noting that the vast majority of what people claim is "CG" in Chainsaw Man isn't 3D CG at all; it's generally either very slick traditional animation or some alternative method such as rotoscoping which is still primarily hand-drawn. The issue isn't CG, it's the *idea* of CG and people getting a bug up their butts about styles of animation not being "anime enough."
Nice to see that Trigun: Stampede is getting some love.
I love the amount of research you do for each anime, it really adds to the experience of the video
If you enjoyed The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, you should definitely check out more of Mamoru Hosoda's work! I can't recommend Wolf Children and Boy and the Beast enough, they're fantastic films. Summer Wars is really good as well
I love Summer Wars, but it's abudantly clear that it's just Digimon Our War Game with the Digimon scrubbed out lol.
Obviously it's the same director, but it's just so amusing to me.
Wolf Children is great as well.
Liked and subscribed solely because of your review of Trigun Stampede. I was a fan of both the original anime and the manga (which are different, btw) and I absolutely loved Stampede. It got a lot of undeserved hate before it even aired, receiving criticism on everything from the CGI to the redesigns to the lack of Milly. I’m really glad that Stampede brought new Trigun fans in who are eager to check out the original stuff, and I hope they come to appreciate both versions!
Mamoru Hosoda is also basically like, the father of the Digimon anime series. He directed the prequel movie (the first ever Digimon anime) and the sequel movie, and then he basically reworked the plot of the sequel movie into Summer Wars, another great anime movie
Mamoru Hosoda is easily my favorite anime film director! Wolf Children and Boy and the Beast are two of my all-time favorite films
Man I can't wait for the third part of this series, "I used a Randomizer to watch Hentai".
god I have not heard about Yatterman Night in ages, and then followed by the girl who leapt through time??? Bringing back some old middle school memories
You hit the nail in the head when saying the people who love the girl who leapt through time LOVE the girl who leapt through time, this movie was my absolute favorite up until i watched puss in boots the last wish, but it is still my second absolute favorite and i have a very special place for it in my heart, also that movie made me a huge fan of Mamoru Hosoda's other movies, he is so good, my favorites from him appart from this one are summer wars, belle and the boy and the beast.
Trigun Stampede was a really fun time and I'm really looking forward to where they take the story from here given how wildly different it is from the original 1998 adaptation. While I do slightly prefer the more relaxed pace and subtler moments of Trigun '98, Stampede is still absolutely killer and takes some really neat spins on characters who the earlier anime didn't really explore and overall has a more consistent tone. Insane to me that people are dismissing it out of hand because "3D bad" when Orange's last two shows have proven just how incredible their mastery of 3D CG (and blending it with 2D techniques!) really is.
I absolutely love Land of the Lustrous and think that the CG absolutely worked there, but I really dislike how a lot of the characters look here.
This series brings so much fresh air into anime youtube content. I love it, i love the unexpected becoming the new favourite, its literally a coin flip. You watching the animes and me putting them on my " 2 watch" list is just something great. Thank you
Your videos are criminally underrated. I love how you do an incredible amount of unnecessary research that's just so entertaining, cool and interesting even if its just minor stuff lol. Another amazing video Lex, keep it up man!
Hope you make more of these, I love the history/context of each anime you watch. :D
The Girl who leapt through time was such a heart jerking movie for me when I watched it on yt in middle school. I've never forgotten about it and I'm in college already. It reminds me of this other anime I watched around that time called Wolf Children. Both movies had me in tears 😭
This is such a fun approach to finding anime and doing reviews. I had such fun watching this and the previous video. That you ended with Stampede is just the cherry on top. The '96 version is one of my all time faves, and Stampede is a total joy, I can't pick one over the other. Glad you enjoyed it.
Look forward to more randomized anime reviews in future, amazing work!
Watched both Stampede and the old Trigun with my partner, interchanging it since we watched it as it was recently weekly, and it was an amazing time. Love both to death and our theory on what they were doing came true and it was made even better. Loved all of it.
Loving the content and your incredibly approachable way of getting people into anime, or newbies into watching more of it. I like your informative history dumps of older anime spin-offs/adaptations or long running animes, so definitely keep that up.
For the safety wheel recommendations if you’re still taking them (sorry if mentioned already), Dragon Goes House Hunting is a fantastic little light hearted slice of life anime with an out there concept (the names says it all) and SK8 Infinity is just a beautiful looking and pleasantly fun anime based on a sport I love watching and got into watching as a child thanks to various video game series.
I love this series you created. Been learning a lot about underrated anime and the history behind them. Keep doing this!
God I know this video was so much effort but I so hope you keep making these, they're interesting/hilarious and also actually making me want to watch anime again
I could watch a whole massive playlist of videos like this. Love your site!
Dang, I wish I hadn't slept on Trigun Stampede. People were talking about it and I checked out the original to "cover my bases." I only got a couple of episodes in and wasn't all that impressed. I figured I did my homework and found the show wasn't for me. I had no idea the reboot was so cool.
Why would you base your whole perception of if you'd like the modern version of something based on a way older version of that same thing, especially when that version didn't even follow the original source material in the first place?
You can't just watch the first few episodes and leave it before the show even has a chance to start. Yeah, you didn't get into it- it didn't even start yet. Trust. Watch at least half of '98. The characterization in '98 is so /so/ much better, where its basically non-existent in Stampede.
I say this, as someone who watched Stampede first, liked it in concept but felt there was something missing. I am not a fan of a lot of 3D work, I did not like the Stampede CG but grain of salt. I went back and watched all of '98 after watching the first 10 episodes of Stampede and I had no will to finish it anymore.
I loved this format! Hope you continue this series!
Loving these randomized videos, hope to see more soon!
Hilarious, I live in Belgium and "The girl who leaps through time" or dubbed in french "Le fille qui traversait le temps" was actually a school book (yes, we read the non-manga version of the story in french class). We then proceeded to watch the movie in class and we all had a good laugh at the crying scene for how over-the-top it was. Good times, good times
Been absolutely in love with your videos for quite a while now, and so too has the wife! If you end up doing another one of these randomizer videos, we'd love to see you review Guilty Crown!
This was a super fun video, looks like more anime to add to my already growing backlog. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into these dude. This was really interesting.
Trigun Stampede was fantastic! As a manga fan the comic both shows are based on is one of my favorite comics of all time
I hope you will do more of this, I really enjoyed it!
Love these videos, they're super fun to watch!
Love this series! Your work is very underrated
This is such a great idea for a video series. I watched a bunch of your videos. Good stuff king. 👑
one of my fav channels your so chill these videos are always just fun
This is such a cool idea for a video series, and it also basically makes it so you can do as many of these as you want there to be. good job
Ooo, I’m so happy to see something I recognize pop up!! The girl who leapt through time has been a favorite of mine for years, and I just recently bought the dvd and soundtrack cd of it.
I also watched trigun stampede right after the last episode aired and immediately fell in love with it, and have been watching trigun 98 as well, which is unsurprisingly amazing. Love them both very dearly for different reasons, and I’m so glad stampede exists cause it’s (amazing and) caused a huuuuge resurgence in popularity for trigun as a whole, which it very much deserves
Love your stuff my man
I liked this video format more than the last. Also, thank you for giving Stampede a chance!
I'm happy to see someone else that watched Yatterman Nights! It's been a while since I've seen it, but the premise is really cool. One that I wish to see more of.
Since you enjoyed the Yatterman reboot, I highly recommend the other Tatsunoko hero reboots. Casshern Sins is an EXCELLENT show that I think you'll like and I've heard Gatchaman Crowds is a fun and quirky show.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is one of my favorite anime movies too! I always assumed it was more popular than it apparently is. You should check out everything directed by Mamoru Hosoda. I haven't seen Belle yet, but everything else I've seen from him is top shelf.
I love these randomizer videos! I hope you get some more good shows out of it.
Love the long videos btw and they have so much re watch value.
I think this series should be a consistent one on your channel. I quite enjoy you deadpan talking about obscure stuff that only like two people have seen.
hello, i love these randomized watchlists as well as your very informative or wholesome reactions! :D
I LOVE this video series. Can’t wait for part 3!
I enioyed the previous anime recommendation video so it was cool to see a spiritual successor to that video. Finding obscure media is always neat. It feels like you know something that gives you a bit of bragging rights.
I'm very excited to see some pretty niche picks making into into the user recs wheel at the end. There's some series that are so hard to recommend to people just based on the subject matter and bare bones 10 second summary, so I hope you can give whatever comes up a thorough look.
This idea for the randomizer is great! So original, I never heard about Yatterman before and it sounds like a lot of fun. It's nice to hear of series that went under the radar!
Trigun Stampede was amazing, as a fan of the original, it got rid of the little problems it had. My nostalgia makes me miss the Western feel, soundtrack, and design of the original though, and Milly! I am happy there is a second season of Stampede :D
His back 🙌 love your content dude🎉
fuck yeah I was hoping you'd do another one of these!
today is a good day ♡
I honestly didnt expect this video! Im super excited to watch!
Love your videos dude! Keep it up 😊
If you end up watching more of Trigun either the original or stampede I highly recommend the dub, Johnny Yong Bosch absolutely kills it as Vash.
JYB is the goat
I watched both your videos in this series and I really hop e don't stop making them
I came here from the talk you did with Ah Lecks on his second channel, and though this doesn't seem to be your usual style of content from your homepage and from what you talked about in that video, I still had a blast watching it!! This was plenty in-depth for what it was, so I'm totally looking forward to exploring the rest of your portfolio, that seems to be even more so! :)
p.s. you should totally check out Bonsai Pop's video on Tigun Stampede, as huge fans of the original they made a video talking about the reboot and where it was going as opposed to the original. Their theorycrafting ended up being 100% correct, and the video is a great to watch even if it wasn't. It isn't strictly necessary but if you're looking for opinions it might be a solid video to go to. Funnily enough I haven't actually seen either of the adaptations and have been meaning to get into it by watching Stampede, especially since I watched that video. Yours has sold me on it all the more so. Anyway, thanks for reading this!!
Great video. Will use the randomizer in the future for sure.
Amazing video as always man. have a nice week
the first random anime video inspired me to also use the site to watch random anime and so far it's been pretty fun so thank you for that :)
Love watching these, hope you're doing well dude
I’m doing great right now. Working hard on more videos for everyone
Another incredible video thank you so much
So pumped I got my recommendation in the video!! I was like a lot of people, a bit worried it would do something wrong or not look good. But they honestly made sure to do the original justice. The last episode really brought it all together and reassured me there gonna have it all. They really made it a version of there own while still pleasing the original fans. Super excited for season two. Now do some demon slayer material!
Not watched it yet but this gonna be a good video!! Been waiting for this since the first vid!
I'm so glad you got to check out trigun! It's one of my favourite series ever and I adore stampede! I'm glad you enjoyed it
I'm really glad it was studio orange that handled it because the animation style suits the show and the feel they went for with this retelling, I really don't know if I would've enjoyed it as much as the og if it weren't for the animation! It's just beautiful
Holy sht, you really started strong on this one, damn. You had my full attention
I need to thank you for reviewing Stampede from the perspective of someone who hasn't seen the '98 Trigun. I grew up watching the original release on Adult Swim so I have been begging some of my friends who are new to anime to review it because I was having trouble differentiating between 'this just being another meh reboot' and 'I'm just jaded because I'm a Trigun fanboi'. I do want my biggest problem was the character design of Vash. Would love to hear what people think on the differences between the models.
I had to take a break after you summarized ep1 of Yoru no Yatterman to watch it, tbh it's a nice gem, plot twist and ending to the series (that I watched as a child with french dub that had polish lector over it). I'm happily waiting for next installment.
i've genuinely never had a strive to watch anime, the only ones i've watched were some studio ghibli movies and a binge sitting of Beaststars, and i absolutely love that show to death. the animation is super cool and knowing that Trigun Stampede is made by the same studio is making me wanting to watch that show even more. I've seen criticisms from people all around different corners of the internet for the stylistic choices and people are allowed to have opinions on things but, the animation and action shots are so fucking cool and you CAN'T deny that!
Really love these kind of videos. Watched the girl who leapt through time only because of this video and it was great! Keep going!
Got to say I do prefer this format. Can't wait too see if you watch more of Mamoru Hosoda works: such as Wolf Children and Summer Wars. The first of which I think is one of the best anime films I've seen.
Yatterman and Yatterdetaman brings me back. I remember watching them 30 years ago on Polish tv with Italian dub, and even an original Italian OP song (maybe it's nostalgia goggles, but I really think I Cavalieri Del Re made a lot of banger anime OPs).
Didn't know your channel before, but 90% of my reasoning for clicking on this viideo was a hope you'll come accross one of the shows from my childhood that nobody talks about on the internet (at least in EN and PL speaking parts of it.
thanks for putting all those the wind rises clips in the background love that movie
Love the concept of this series
This was incredible. Also gives me new random anime to put on my list.
legitimately some of the best anime content on yt rn
Dude this channel is so killer
would love to see a full video on trigun, especially if you end up reading the manga or watching 98 :) i watched stampede, then read the manga, and then watched the original show.... and id probably make my own analysis video if i had enough experience to do it lol
I appreciate the properly placed spoiler warnings, I'll be back to hear your thoughts that I missed this time!
thank you so much for the randomizer, it recommended blade of the immortal and it is so good
Please do more of this series!
The amount of research for this video is my gosh...this needs a million views
Having read the manga and watched the '98 anime, I really think Stampede does an incredible job at remixing plot points from the manga-it's still Trigun at its core, being created by a team of people who absolutely _adore_ the franchise and put so much hard work and passion into its creation. But it's also something _new,_ and that both excites and terrifies me. I really can't wait to see where Orange take the story in the future. I also can't recommend the manga highly enough. Don't get me wrong; the '98 anime is great! But Trigun Maximum hit different and so much harder for me, and I feel like it's unsung by comparison.
tristamp has got to be one of the most compelling emotional animes ive watched in a very very long time im so happy for season 2 and i grew up with the og trigun anime and manga
Great video!!! :D
I like this structure more it was very interesting keep up the good work
Trigun Stampede :o I'm late on my Winter list so I haven't finished it yet but it's my favourite of the season, space western is my thing and it's visually stunning.
It's strange because I remember some scenes in Toki wo Kakeru Shojo but I absolutely don't know when I watched it...
Yatterman Night looks visually better than I expected lmao
Finally... nothing to say about the chinese one i guess ahaha
Lucky selection overall!
