      Sir please can you explain me something I dont understand.
      What determines the RAx ,RAy,RBx,RBy whether they are in the positivie or negative direction of x and y ?

    • @KSGEngineering
      @KSGEngineering  11 месяцев назад +1

      @@irdisulko dear at the start we don't know their directions so we just assume their directions. If we get positive answer for any reaction then it means that our assumption is correct and we can continue with that assumed direction. But if get negative value then that means our assumed direction is wrong so for further calculations we have to reverse that assumed direction.

    Hello sir in order to find FHF FGH would we take the moment at a different point then at H? Because even though we have FIG to be 13.12 we still have two unknowns for Fx and Fy?

    I really hope you reply me on this. You resolved forces in the x direction using sine and resolved forces on Y direction using cosine...Why? Shouldn't it be the other way?

    • @KSGEngineering
      @KSGEngineering  11 месяцев назад +1

      Dear, for this you have to understand the resolution of forces. Look, it is not a rule that we should always use cosine in horizontal direction and sine in vertical direction.
      During resolution of forces we have to decide that with which component we are considering the angle of the resultant force. Suppose, the resultant force P makes 30 degree angle with the horizontal component and 60 degree with the vertical component.
      Now if you want to use 30 degree angle in the resolution of forces then as this angle is with horizontal component then the horizontal component must be cosine component and thus vertical component will be sine component.
      Thus horizontal component will be Pcos 30 and vertical component will be Psin30.
      But if you want to use 60 degree angle in the resolution of forces then as this angle is with the vertical component then this time vertical component must be cosine component and the horizontal component will be sine component.
      Thus, horizontal component will be Psin 60 and vertical component will be Pcos60.
      Now compare the above two choices: in the first choice when we took 30 degree angle then the horizontal component was Pcos30 and in the second choice horizontal component was Psin60.
      Now, see cos30 and sin60 have same values thus, in both the choices, the values of the components are same.
      So, when ever we have to decide cosine and sine components, we just have to see with which component we want to consider the angle of resultant force, then that component will become cosine component irrespective of its direction whether it is vertical or horizontal.
      I hope you understand

    Why did you multiply 16/3 with FIG ??

    • @KSGEngineering
      @KSGEngineering  Год назад

      Because we took the moment of force Fig with respect to joint H and the perpendicular distance between Fig and joint H is distance HI, which we have already calculated as 16/3

  • @feint9032
    @feint9032 Год назад

    Sir how did you get the HI=16/3? Can I have the solution?

    • @Alaaatassi
      @Alaaatassi Год назад +2

      the big trianlge (FGL) which is 8/15 = x/10 which is the small triangle (HIL) so when u sovle for x u get HI as 16/3

    • @KSGEngineering
      @KSGEngineering  Год назад +1

      Dear, we have used similar triangle law for the triangles LFG and LHI. In similar triangles, we can equate perpendicular divided by base of one traingle with the perpendicular divided by base of other triangle according to maths of similar triangles. That is why we have divided 8/15 that is perpendicular divided by base of bigger triangle and equated it with the perpendicular divided by base of smaller triangle that is HI/10.

    At C step you did wrong for clockwise positive and anticlockwise negative but you taken clockwise negative and anticlockwise positive

    • @KSGEngineering
      @KSGEngineering  3 года назад +2

      I think you have not watched video carefully. At C it is clockwise and in the equation it is written as -5x5. Watch it again.
      And for your information there is no such rule of taking antibclockwise positive and clockwise negative or vice versa. Antibclockwise moments can be taken positive or negative, but you have to take reverse sign for clockwise moment thats it. If you see foreign author books they take clockwise negative and antibclockwise positive and some authors take reverse. So both ways it is correct.
