Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my RUclips Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club President and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
I enjoy watching videos especially singing performances and react to them.
I keep my reactions real and natural.

Hi, thank for your reaction to JJ Lin. He is very popular in China but he is a Singaporean . He is known to be the Best Chinese POP singer. He is a music producer, composer n also song writer. He composed his own music and for other singer as well. He won a many music awards. Check out his new song 'wonderland' and you will also like it.

Ok I clicked like first before watch this. I love jj lin. "Ji De" the song that Shila Amzah sang in the competition is JJ's song which he originally wrote for A Mei

You might not be aware of this but plenty of Singaporean singers, the really good ones at least, end up becoming superstars in other countries especially since the Singaporean market and industry is really small. Ramli Sarip, whom you’ve reacted to in a duet with Jamal Abdillah, is another great example (least year, he sang one of the best renditions of Singapore’s national anthem imo during our Independence Day celebrations).
Other regionally renowned names with Singaporean roots are Anita Sarawak, Saloma, Hady Mirza of course, rapper Alif from the rnb duo Sleeq (the other member, Syarif, used to be in the same school as me in Singapore), and M. Nasir. Other artistes like JJ Lin, Stephanie Sun, and Tanya Chua are big names in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Recently, younger singers like Nathan Hartono, Aisyah Aziz, and Joanna Dong have also done us proud in singing competitions in China and Malaysia.
