    We love our Hiace, but we also installed heatshield like you did to keep the Van cooler inside.

      What was the condition of your original heat shield? Ours was toast when we go it

      @@SALTYVANVENTURES our was much better that yours. We did not have to replace it above the engine we only added it to reduce heat.

    The anxiety is real! It's not just your transportation, it's your home and everything you own while you're out there on your own. With the water tanks, did you consider tapping in a small length of clear hose to run up the outside? Would show the internal water level (might lead to leaks though). You could also tap in a length of hose and a funnel to be accessible from the back for filling. The little jobs you have to do are endless right??

      We just lived with the problem as we knew this trip has an end date. i did think of that by I didn’t want to add anymore holes to the tank for risk of leaking.

    170cm is 5'7 not 5'5 (165cm)
