Thank you for posting and keeping the music alive!
You're welcome. Thank YOU for listening.
Great lp, Dave Dudley is awesome!!
This great channel gives us no respite: a bunch of great career albums of country music legends.(Brazil)
All his mercury recordings are highly under appreciated.
Great voice, great songs, great backing group led by Jerry Kennedy.
Fantastic backing vocals. Yes Jerry Kennedy in almost all of the records. Who was the lead guitar player because I think there was a few. Thanks
I would be willing to bet it was Jerry Kennedy himself.
Ring of Fire. (Klasse) never heard! /thank you!
Thank you for sharing this James! Others will be able to discover some of Dave’s best material this way, seeing as most of his Mercury catalog is only available on vinyl.
This is on my want list
I note that back in the 1960s Dave was recording a lot of songs written by Tom T Hall.
That's because Dave Dudley was friends with Tom T Hall.
Sort of odd to see a promo in mono this late in the game. I guess it was geared towards an AM station since they weren't stereo capable?
