Best string head ever ! It's made by Tecomec, uses either the .080 or .095 trimmer line. The not inserting easy ... found a cure. Take and bend the line getting it as straight as possible for about 5 inches, then works every time.
You just made me feel like the smartest woman in the world!!! Thank you ☺️ I have been looking at videos on restringing my Kobolt 40v Max and never seen anyone push it through. Although I did need to remove the head to thread, then pop on and turn the dial. Ingenious 😂
You shouldn't need to pop the head off. Sometimes you need to rotate the wire 180 degrees & try to re insert it. Or bend the wire a lil b4 inserting it if it is stiff
There should be two arrows on the bottom unit. Line them up and the holes will be lined up. Once you thread the line thru, there's only one direction you can wind it WITHOUT having to push the knob in... that's the direction to wind.

Thanks so much Johnny V!
Thanks!!! Took me forever to find this video. I knew I didn't need to take out the entire cap. This video is super helpful.
Yea. I think taking the cap off is way more difficult.

Mine is so worn i think the arrows are gone. Great info for new owners.
@@JohnnieV Yeah, the new units will save a little time.
Thank you brother for that !
What string are you using? Thinking of getting a spool since they seem more cost effective than the 5 packs they sell at lowes. Thanks
.095 ... its a heavy duty quality. It isnt flimsy. Big roll is about $19 i think.
Particular brand or link?
