Just going back now and listening to Spirit, the album that Saturday Night is from. Have not listened to it in a very long time and It is such a great album. Jazz, funk, gospel all in one album. It's a beautiful record.

Growing up with my Jefé (Boss, Dad, main man, the one, my hero etc; etc.) This is what we woke up to on the weekends and at every barbeque we had Earth Wind & Fire sho to be playin' and countless other bands and soulful bliss. My daddy went to every concert you can think of, he has also seen these bands more then once when I was just a kid and as I got older because he loved great music and always loved to dance. R.I.P. My Jefé I love you and miss you and music is the only place I can go to see you and think of you. 💔 Saturday Nite was one of my ultimate favorite one but That's The Way Of The World was timeless especially of what's going on today. Stay safe my peeps and God bless us all.

There are a few greats I've missed along the way but I caught these guys a half dozen times. If you saw them live, especially during this era through the early eighties, count yourself among the fortunate ones. Their performance of "I'll Write A Song For You" in West Germany on the 'All In All' tour was nothing short of pure love. There were more than a few babies made on that train ride home😉🐣💝.
No doubt, I would have given a limb to have seen Hendrix, Marley, & EWF with Maurice, did see them in 2020.

Of all the songs on this album, this one, in my opinion, was one of most fun to listen to. I recall when my cousin let me hold this album back in the day.

I've always considered this to be the best ever dance track released by EWF which was played endlessly in discos - particularly the more underground ones - between 1977-1979 along with other classics like "Groove Line" and "Boogie Nights" (Heatwave), "24 hours a day" (Barbara Pennington), "Savage Lover" (Ring), "Mighty Real" and "Stars" (Sylvester)...
Some people were conceived off of Berry White, I was made from the elements EWF 🙌🏾❤🙌🏾
I still have dreams @ night of me & my girls kicking it @ the discos. We sang all the songs & did all the dances under the flashing lights, strobe lights, & fog machines felt like dancing in the clouds. A couple had the lighted dance floors that would change colors along with the beat of the songs. We even knew a couple DJ's & they'd play our favorite songs. Of course EWF were our favorites. I still have a friend that calls me up several times a year & asks me if I want to go to the Disco!

Saw them in concert LAST NIGHT!!!! Three original members left and all three are now 70 years old. Phillip's voice is not as strong as back in the day but boy can he still hit those high notes. His son plays in the band now. Verdine at 70 is still the backbone of that band on the bass and he still rocks it like no other. Verdine White and Jermaine Jackson are the most underrated bass players in history (my opinion). Ralph can still rock percussion and sing like no other. They played a 2 hour show and sounded as good as they did in 1975. They played all of their classics. Two disappointing moments for me...I HATE BOOGIE WONDERLAND (LOL) and they didn't play this jam. Saturday Night from their SPIRT album is one of their all time best. The first time I ever heard them was the song MIGHTY MIGHTY (I was 6 years old). All and all, I can leave this earth knowing I got to see THE ELEMENTS OF THE UNIVERSE...LIVE !!! Nothing but love for the great EARTH, WIND & FIRE.
