When my two daughters were growing up, they didn't understand me saying I use certain EWF tracks as medicine, on cassettes back then, now on playlists. Until the past few years, I've needed to visit a doctor 2-3 times in my adult life. This track Always made the prescription list.
Went to a Catholic High School in '82 . Had to read aloud some biblical passages in front of the class or something. I asked if I could also play (record player vinyl) a couple of songs to go with my presentation. Teacher said sure. I played "Sunshine" by EW&F and "The River" by Santana. Both have somewhat uplifting messages. I hope I got an A. Don't really remember but I hope I put a little life in that boring class.

I was listening to this when I was single, in my 20s. I was enlisted in the US Coast Guard. We’re at a training base out in the country side, Sonoma county California.
