    Dude, you are so meticulous. It is really refreshing to see someone be so detailed and content in every process. I am a bit impatient when it comes to those tedious tasks. You've inspired me to be a little more calm and enjoy the process more, because I'm certain the result of your build will shine. I also appreciate you taking the time to teach. Keep it up! Thanks.

    Gday Cameron....Greetings from down under and a very merry christmas to u and urs....have just recently watched your "Wheel Spokes and Truing videos, which led me to various others, Just wanna give a public shout out and alot of respect where its due dude, Such refreshing viewing for a change, i do alot of tinkering around with chinese pitbikes and ATC 70s and also have a couple of vintage suzuki FR80- suzuki F50 Mopeds....i watch alot of you tube man ..daily....and i can honestly say, without hesitation ...This is Excellent viewing, extremely well edited content, "NO BORING BITS"...NO LIFE STORYS"....Just straight to the point clear, well lit camera work. nice bright white" backgrounds .....Loves it!!! ...Onya Cameron. Well done champ!.... Do some more pitbike vidz....perhaps u could show the different sorts of bottom ends that were made in china....."Everyone is so quick to say that all chinese pit bikes are the same....."There not. some are geared up, some down...some semi auto, some full auto.. some have electric start, some have kick, some have both...some can even except selected Honda Pull starters eg: ATC 70.
    Keep up the good work. Craig .

    Hey Cam watching this video of you work and play while I listen to the excellent choice of music has a mildly soporific and calming effect on me (even though I've been doing this kind of work myself for the past 40 years) I think it has to be something to do with the very clever and detailed editing that you invest in your productions, I have to say that you are very good at this, the whole thing is seamless and incredibly watchable. I'm glad I found you pal, better late than never!

    Hey Cameron, my name is Matt, Merry X-mas and happy holidays to you and your family! I am hopeful that you see this comment, Ive been following you and your videos for quite a while and gotta say you have my favorite dirt bike oriented channel on youtube by far. Ive wanted a dirt bike my whole life but that didnt work out until just recently, Im now 24! I brought home an 87' yz125. Most of the maintenence and cleaning im going to preform on it was all taught to me by watching your channel. I am waiting on the manual to come in the mail currently. Was wondering though, I got the bike for 200 bucks, an amazing deal, but it has a seized crankshaft. The piston is decent, cylinder is fine, all I really gotta do is fix that crank and attach a rear tire shock mud guard. ANYWAYS, to get to the point, I am looking for a bit of help, and I dont have many real friends that know about this stuff, so I was wondering if you would be able to help me a bit. What I really need, is to know how to recognize when the Main Crank Bearing needs replaced, when a full crank rebuild is necessary, and when to go aheas and buy a whole new kit. I really appreciate you doing what you do to help people know how to take care of their bikes properly and gotta say, you have a huge impact on the community whether you realize it or not! Thanks Cameron, hope to hear back from you!!

      @iainmyatt8212 7 лет назад +1

      Hey Man, I just finished the rebuild of my cr125. It was the same issue, a seized crank and I`m here to tell you that it will be a lot easier and safer for your engine with a new crank kit. They come with all the gaskets you`ll need and then some, the bearings and of course a new crank that is machined to higher standards than the old oem one you might have/find. It's not worth it trying to find someone who know's about crank rebuilds and sourcing the parts when a whole one is so readily available. And since you're down there anyways, you might as well change the main bearing's. They're tough but it's one less thing to worry about if you're planning on keeping the bike for a while yet. As for the rest of your rebuild you'll find somewhere along the way that there are missing things and you'll have to buy them, machine them. Check and clean everything like this guy, you'll find some nice surprises left by the the last guy. It might save you when you're out on the trail.
      If you have any questions at all you and give me a shout and I'll probably have an idea about it. If not, Cameron can probably help ya.

      Iain Myatt hey Ian, thanks a lot for the help, youve got me convinced to get a fresh one in there. Ive heard great things bout the OEM and wiseco crank setups, where would you recommend I get one from? Also, if you have a second, ive got a crappy video on my page of the seized crank so you can get a look at it. Thanks again man! And also, I would definitely like to change the bearing while im at it, do they come with the kit?

    • @CameronNiemela
      @CameronNiemela  7 лет назад +1

      I second what Iain Myatt recommended. Replace the bearings, crank, seals and gaskets while you have it apart. You can spec everything but for peace of mind just replace the crank with either OEM or Wiseco/ Hot Rods. Both are good quality. Thanks for watching the videos Matt! Much appreciated.

Why not use a brass brush instead of the steel brush? More work but less marring. Hard to argue with those results but curious. Cheers, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
