    I don’t think it’s wrong of people to be overreacting about certain aspects of the team but something that just makes me so angry is seeing the people saying Geno should be benched He has a lower interception rate than Patrick Mahomes. Obviously leads the league in passing. Has the shortest amount of time of any QB to pass. He is the least of the teams worries. He is doing everything that he can. The true concerns should be on the defense injuries or not, and obviously the offensive line being the number one biggest problem. I am confident in saying that if we had an average offensive line, geno would a top 5 QB and MVP candidate so can we please stop blaming him and start blaming the actual problems with the team?

      Love my Geno. Sad to see him get such hate, esp on his birthday 😔 It wasn't a great game, or great set of games! But, on the whole, this team needs to be able to form before people chuck the entire enterprise out. It's a new regime! It takes time😞 Go Hawks!

  • @gmichaelhall
    @gmichaelhall 4 дня назад +16

    Been a fan since 70’s. I’m very content to be at .500 at this stage, with all factors accounted for. I’m not understanding all this fair weather media narrative feeding negative emotionalised fandom.
    The team is 6 games into a complete redesign and that’s an enormous task for any team. Singling individual players out to convenience a bias or an absurd emotional view is ridiculous if not painful to listen to. Learn the game better and have a thorough appreciation of where this team and many other good teams are at with these early stage overhauls. Lot of teams would love to be at .500 and have a Geno or a DK or a JSN.
    Patience and perseverance will pay dividends
    As for OL, about half the NFL is struggling with an o line with few assets to choose from. Work with what we have best we can and suck it up a bit. Way too much hysteria in the media, just ignore these type of people who obviously don’t know what they’re talking about. Go Hawks✌️

    • @adityaakshay1
      @adityaakshay1 4 дня назад +2

      Not singling, its just a fact at this point where he drops easy one on one catches. No WR 1 can be a WR 1 whose job is to catch balls. LOL. name another WR1 who has more drops than him? I don't think honestly he will fetch you any trade value either. So I agree the argument of trading him is dumb but the opinion of him not being a team player and being an easy target for the opponent to get under the skin is pretty well documented.

    • @gmichaelhall
      @gmichaelhall 4 дня назад +1

      @@adityaakshay1 DK is a fantastic contributor. I wonder how much of his frustrations are pinged to his long standing hand injury, I don’t know the extent of it and it’s not making an excuse for dropped balls. What I have seen is some ad libbing breaking play designs and that is likely down to still learning the enormity of the new system he has to master. They will get there and it’s a collective team effort. I’m not ready to chuck the baby out with the bath water at this very early stage. We need 9or10 wins to get in playoffs, while on track to achieve that, I’m more excited for this team and system to get fine tuned for the next few years successes awaiting them. Geno’s age doesn’t bother looking at how he is playing, he might be one of those guys who can do a long haul. I’d rather see this team settle into itself than over turn the roster with a bunch of unpredictable unproven hot flash youngsters out there solely playing for their own personal interests. Coach change I’m giving them a 1-2 yr window to make the moves they need to run the systems they have designed to win having already proven that they can win. Early days and I’m real happy for this team to take its time to fire in all eight.

      I agree & I'm standing with my team, which is evolving right now. I didn't get to grow up with sports so I came in quite late. This is my opportunity to not be a fairweather fan, and I do see a great team anyway, even if they aren't gelled together yet. People aren't even giving Mike the year, let alone the 3 it took Pete to form his team. We're so spoiled! I believe we're cooking something great here, and I'm so happy we snagged Mike MacDonald!

    For anyone wondering what DK said into the headset, it was something like "Hey Grubb, can we please throw past the f***ing sticks?"
    I thought DK was aware of our O-line situation or maybe he believes too much in them, but it takes time to get passed the sticks, especially when penalties are constantly putting our O behind the sticks.
    Also, I don't know how often this happens, but this year when the ball goes to DK in the flat, he likes to run across the field and bend his run instead of finding a hole and then turning on the jets straight upfield. I love DK, but he unfortunately isn't that much of a detail oriented person and it's the little details that are holding him back from his insane potential.

    • @Cody-ec3bt

      Good WRs are easy to come by in the draft. DK is not a superstar. We have clear holes elsewhere like RG, RT and linebackers. We have plenty of depth at WR that will be serviceable and win games. Trading DK would be the smart thing and future of this team.

  • @jordan3305
    @jordan3305 4 дня назад +7

    Look how that trade worked out for the Titans... they didnt get remotely close of a player to AJ Brown. The Chiefs traded Hill for basically the same thing... they didnt really get a player that was comparable. I would not trade DK unless the offer blows you out of the water, DK commands too much focus from the other teams defense to make that trade for picks. If you want to know why our oline stinks? It’s because John won’t trade up in the draft to get a highly rated guard or tackle…. Trading DK makes zero sense if you are just doing it to get a pick.

    • @FootballFanatic007
      @FootballFanatic007 4 дня назад +1

      Must’ve been someone else besides John who took Charles Cross as the ninth overall pick in first round 😂. If Abe Lucas didn’t have his recurring knee issues and was able to start at RT this o-line would look so much different than it does. And oh yeah John used a 3rd rounder to get Abe Lucas same year he picked Charles Cross. If Abe was healthy we would have two dominant tackles anchoring this line….

    • @jordan3305
      @jordan3305 4 дня назад +1

      @@FootballFanatic007 It must be hard to disagree with a comment that is factually true. ONE draft does not mean he doesnt need to draft Offensive Line players higher than the 4th round more often. I am not disagreeing that if Abe Lucas didnt have knee issues we would be fine at RT. But this isnt about an IF, this is about what is happening. our LG, C, and RG positions have been HORRIBLE for almost 10 years now. We have not drafted a LG, C, or RG inside the first 3 rounds outside Haynes in a long time...

      100%! If we aren't getting a player in return for DK, the trade will be a massive flop. Especially because draft picks take time to develop and aren't necessarily as much of a guarantee vs getting a player. Also, the offense would take a huge hit with DK being gone because Lockett is close to retirement and JSN isn't there yet. We wouldn't have any legit WR1s immediately to help the offense.

Anyway DK should go asap ( gut has flatered to decieve since day1) , we have had no O line for as long as I can remember , why are the injuries so much more than 10 years ago?. Geno is who we think he is... a less than 2-1 TD to INT ratio QB who is very streaky. Don't get me wrong I love his heart and competitive nature but do we really think we can win a SB with Geno at the helm? Heck even Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Trevor Lawrence have better TD to INT ratios. At the end of the day Geno is tied for 2nd in the league in INTS and you cannot blame it all on the O-line like so many of us like to do.

He's the one dude you can go off on with nobody questioning you. What they dont want to talk about is the QB and leader of the team smashing himself in the head with a tablet, yelling at team mates, pouting on the bench looking absolutely defeated and then having a tantrum at the press conference. Stuff you wouldn't have imagined with Russ - ever. These guys are boulevard type instigators that have a hard on for the easy takes and narratives they can yap about without being checked. Lets go ahead and trade the best WR on the team mid season (who's well under way for his 4th 1000+ yrd season) for a sack of peanuts and then see who plays receiver next year without him and Lock who may retire after this year.
    Once again dumb and dumber missing a key point. A draft pick always has the risk of being a huge bust. Lets not forget Eskridge.

Receivers dropping balls in their hands they didn't used to drop and then DK fumbling in key moments. Add stupid, brain dead, penalties. Geno is solid, Lockett is still Lockett, kicking is good, some nice special teams moments but each year, the overall team just gets worse and less entertaining and to lose to the Giants, and the Niners but especially the Giants...wow. Hard to gauge impact of a cheerleading coach versus a stoic one but recent past teams seemed to overperform and surprise, this years team seems listless and low energy. Going back a few more years team leaders would be taking the team to the sidelines and get on each other as they demanded excellence from each other. I don't see any of that now. Trade DK no way. There's no reason to. End up with a Pete Carroll offense just running.

      Are you dumb[ the offense is currently trash because they can't run the ball. More run less pass wins games, not the other way around.

    myself and many others find it absolutely disgusting that these radio dingleberries have so much hate towards DK the person and can’t acknowledge him for the game changing player he is. He is a huge asset to the team. Why tf would you trade away one of your best players. Used correctly hes defensive player on offense.
    if anyone in the realm of the seattle seahawks has to be traded it ought to be these two bozos. lets get someone new thats talented in their sports analysis and doesn’t just go off emotional and empty arguments about why dk should be traded.

    I would trade DK for a single first at this point. His attitude is too much of a liability not to mention the money
