It's pretty simple, we don't have any "Champions". We don't have anybody who can go out and dominate a game. People like DK, Spoon, they extremely talented, but that isn't translating into winning games. I think actually the only person on offense who fits that bill might be K9. On defense there is more potential with Mafe, Hall, Murphy, Spoon, Riq and Love to some extent, but so far none of them have elevated to that level. To win championships, you need champions. We might need a new GM, John hasn't found a blue-chipper in about 10 years imo. Also, regardless of how talented Geno is or isn't, I am done with him. He's a terrible leader, he inspires no confidence and can't beat our #1 rival. If this was college, it would be equivalent to the Ohio State/Michigan or Alabama/GA rivalries where you have two teams that are great all year, but coaches get fired if you can't win that game ever. That's Geno, he can't lead and win games that actually matter. Not the Lions early season, but playoff games our division rivals. I am fine with him as a bridge, but I don't want to build around him.
Dk has had many dominant games since he was a Seahawk. Last season he had 134 and 3 touchdowns against a good cowboys defense. His rookie year in the playoffs he had a dominant showing with 7 catches and 160 yards and a TD. Spoon had a game last year against the cardinals where he was physical and laying dudes out and had a pick that was called back due to penalty. We have legitimately good players and some of them are blue chip. Where john has struggled most is the oline. I can’t disagree about your take on Geno tho
To me, Dre'mont Jones has been mailing it in since last season. Jeff said he blew up Trent Williams.. I missed that but did see Kittle easily wash him out. Idk, maybe it's confirmation bias, but I keep noticing him for the wrong reasons.

The worst place for any professional sports franchise to be is mediocre. It’s the hardest place to win from. I agree that we need a quarterback of the future and we need to build this team for MM. I think we need to cut some $ from skill players, fant & Lockett. I think DK and Geno are good atm but both will cost more next year which makes me baulk at paying them.
