How to bind new receiver with a transmitter

- Welcome back guys, Today im going to show you a simple process of binding receiver with a transmitter. Im using Dumbo X6F reciever for demonstration and the good thing about the dumbo transmitter is you can bind as much receivers with them as you want but they dont have memory option so keep that in mind.

I just connected this receiver and the reverse throttle seems to be way more powerful than the forward throttle? Is the receiver/transmitter the problem, or is is the esc/motor, or do you think reverse throttle is always stronger?
Reverse the Throttle switch and recheck! If that doesn’t work then reverse two of three wires connections from ESC to the motor. Forward should have more punch and top speed than reverse.

What should the light do on the top of the transmitter? Shout it stay constant? Mine keeps switching blue/light blue. Doesn't always stay fixed dark blue.
This means your transmitter batteries are getting weak and should be replaced soon otherwise the light remain constant.

My car isn't centering the wheels with x6f, i need the one with gyro or my x6f isn't properly configured?
It’s not a gyro issue as I’m using another one without G and it’s working fine. It might be your servo.

Would this controller and receiver will work on a KID GALAXY ROCK CLIMBER 4X4? I lost the controller
Usually Toy Rc’s doesn’t come with ESC or BLX motor so the connectors might be different! If the connectors are same you can give it a try.
does it work on 2.4 ghz rc cars? also nice thumb, its double jointed
It should work if both tx and rx are of same frequency.
I haven't bought the transmitter yet but does it work wltoys 18405? 🤔
Yes it should! Make sure you buy the tx and rx of the same brand and frequency!

You can only bind them with each other if they are from the same maker.

My receiver does not want to connect. I don't know why, but it keeps blinking red. I'm trying to press the bind button but nothing happens. I am using an Amewi 2.6 ghz 4ch transmitter and a 6ch FM from TW. I'm glad if you could help!
If it’s blinking red that might be a sign of receiver having some internal issue! It will not pair like that. I’d suggest trying another receiver (with same frequency) that matches with transmitter!

@@thatrcguy26 Also, the transmitter has the frequency of 2405 MHz - 2480 MHz. Whould that work with a 2.4 ghz receiver?
Should match otherwise it will not pair.

Can you bind a dumborc to any type of reciver?
No, only dumbo receiver with dumbo transmitter.
So If I have one transmitter set up with lets say 3 cars, do I need to do this process every time I want to use a car or does it auto connect when I turn on the car?? (I'm not planning to use all 3 at the same time btw.)
Depends on the transmitter binding capacity. Most of the transmitters can take more than one receivers and once they are binded you don’t have to repeat the process again.

What about a transmitter with binding button ? How does that work.. Also what is a binding key use for?
Do u have the same transmitter for this receiver? Since the Dumbo rc transmitter does not have a seperate Binding switch.
These drive me nuts ,I did one ,but the other flashes green then goes solid even if tx is on or off in bind or not

Switch the connections on your receiver. Channel 1 for Servo and Channel 2 for ESC and then try again.

I don’t think that will work.
Can you use these on nitro cars or just the electric cars?
Yes it can be used I beleive. I never tried but I am confident it will work!

@@thatrcguy26 I have a RC car that has no receiver in it and I bought same exact esc no cables from it only to engine and from batt
Without a receiver you won’t be abel to run the esc and motor! Buy any suitable one and pair the TX and RX together.
I have a problem with my rc car. I bought a replacement for my HPI E10's transmitter. The old one having a problem. When I bought a new Dumborc X6F like yours, after 1 and a half years of use. Why this transmitter stops working? It Binds perfectly but, my car does not move or steer. This problem is becoming consistent. I know how to bind the transmitter but, after a year or 2 they just don't work anymore. Is this a common Transmitter failure? Or, the transmitter only lasted for 2 years as it designed?
Is your controller lasted longer than mine? What is wrong with my E10 HPI? My car have no corrosion, no damages, nothing visible damage at all. Even the chassis in prestine condition.
I used to play a lot with my rc e10 about 3 hours a day. But I never driven it too fast or crash it.
Is it normal to replace the RC transmitter and receiver ONCE a year?
I'm not wasting 30 dollars every 2 years... especially with this reason again, It just have consistent SAME problem

Mine’s working perfectly but the one I use the most is X6FG. So far I had no issues with it so may be u can try a gyro one and set it to minimum if you don’t use it!
Or else, go for Spektrum radio as it might cost you for once but they are known for good relaibility!
@@thatrcguy26 If Dumborc reliable, might be my esc causing the problem. Im still unsure wether should I fix it. because what I know hpi isn't well established rc brands.
@@thatrcguy26 The weird part is that, THIS PROBLEM happens with my Wltoys as well! I dont think transmitters are reliable. Should I invest more expensive 200 dollar transmitter?
This issue to me is getting unforgiveable... its like I have to pay a *SUBSCRIPTION* 20 dollars a year to drive my rc 🙄
Which ESC and Motor Combo are you using? And what’s the gearing like?

Yes, if you are using a transmitter and receiver of the same brand then you can do that.

Hi, I know next to nothing about RC cars. But, would a controller like this work with/replace one that was originally controlled by an app? Specifically an app that’s no longer available. I’m just curious if it’s possible to do a conversion. Thanks

Well, it’s for the Mattel Ultimate Justice League Batmobile. It came out in 2017 and apparently some genius thought it was a good idea to put out an RC that is controlled only by a specific app. That app is no longer available. I’ve been doing some research on it because I thought about purchasing one second hand. But I’ve discovered that you need to have the app to use it. Probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Just wondered if it could be converted to a traditional RC.
If it comes with a standard esc and blx setup just buy any receiver and tx compatible with each other and pair them up!

But, since I don’t know much about RCs, can you explain what the esc, blx, and tx compatible are exactly?
I’m guessing that the cars motor, steering and etc are controlled by a junction box/point that receives radio signals from the controller. This particular RC shares a WiFi connection with the tablet app. So I don’t know if that’s a whole other thing or just a different type of connection.

Yes that’s right. A receiver is binded with a transmitter just like anyother RC, difference here is that the receiver takes in the input from both ESC and servo (steering) which is then controlled through Transmitter.

Hi, amazing video. I'm new on RC cars. I have a question. In the FMS car I bought, the motor is connected to a M+/-. With this transmitter, is this connected to a one of the channels?
That’s upto you to decide which channel you want to assign for Throttle and servo. Currenty which channel did you assign on the receiver??

The car came with the control damaged. So looking for a new one.
Motor: connected to M+/-
Throttle: ch1
Servo: ch2
But, I don't see the M+/- on the DUMBORC X6. Does it have it?
Doesn’t matter which one you go for. As far it goes for the motor, the three wires are interchangable as long as it’s sensor less motor! For sensored you can’t do that. However, on the receiver side one pin is always extra since all you need is +-!! If it’s not working on one combination then just move the pins from 1-2 to 2-3. If you still find it hard to understand you can let me know.

@@thatrcguy26 no i bought the receiver and remote new. I use it for an losi truggy, and my remote lcd screen was all crappy, so i decided to just get a new one. But yeah mind doesn’t blink when i press it
I feel like the receiver is broken for some reason.
@@thatrcguy26 Hey man, i fixed it. I just had the power wire reversed. It is working perfectly fine. I just needed to watch correctly how i put the wires... thanks.

Hey, just bonded the receiver , the steering worked but as soon as I try throttle it reverses at full speed? Had this issue before and couldn’t solve it. Any idea on how to fix this problem?
Check your transmitter. There will be an option for throttle switch reverse! Flip it.

Didn’t actually do this but I was fiddling around with the binding and it eventually worked
I zeroed everything out on the transmitter (th and st trim) and It worked. I’ll realign the steering trim from there

Can i bind X6FG and X6DCG with the same transmitter ??
Dumbo Transmitter takes upto six receiver at a time. If X6DCG is similar to X6FG receiver then it should bind up without any issue.

It looks similar to me in a way that the operating frequency will not be different. Try it, it should work in my opinion.

This is for first time pairing! If you have the receiver inside then just take it out first and follow the same procedure.

Hi, I'm using the Dumbo receiver for this video and this will work only with Dumbo Transmitter! If you want any other one, u have to get the same transmitter to pair up.

The transmitter can take multiple receiver at the same time. No need to unbind, put the new receiver in pair it to the same transmitter again.
Bought the X6FG transmitter which came with an X6F reciever with 6 channels. Will it pair succesfully with the transmitter as I cannot get the the throttle to work?
Yes it should pair. Please confirm the lights indication are working normally on both transmitter and receiver?
@@thatrcguy26 yh got it to throttle forward thanks. Keeps pinning open in reverse still tho think thats due to an issue with the ESC

Yes there’s a binding button on the receiver if that’s what you are asking.
