WHERE HOPE GROWS is an inspiring story about Calvin Campbell (Kristoffer Polaha), a professional baseball player who was sent to an early retirement due to panic attacks at the plate. Even though he had all the talent for the big leagues, he struggles with the curveballs life has thrown him. Today, Calvin sleepwalks through his days and copes with the challenge of raising his teenage daughter (McKaley Miller). As his life heads in a downward spiral, it is suddenly awakened and invigorated by the most unlikely person - Produce (David DeSanctis), a young-man with Down syndrome who works at the local grocery store.
As Calvin slowly loses the chip on his shoulder, he begins to see the world through Produce’s eyes. Calvin’s life begins to regain purpose and meaning as their friendship develops. The unlikely pair become intertwined in a way that gives Calvin a renewed perspective on the future. But their friendship is put to the ultimate test when an unexpected tragedy occurs due to a single decision echoed from Calvin’s past. WHERE HOPE GROWS is a film about finding redemption through faith, hope and love.
March of 2024 and I stumbled upon a clip that someone had posted on facebook. Never heard of this movie when it came out....now I'm going to have to see it!

The " R " word best describes this world 🌎 in chaos. Amazing how God uses these " blessings " those world 🌎 looks down their noses to and " Lord God Almighty " uses these precious souls to confound the so called " wise " which is the most powerful lesson in life " love ❤️ " if we fail to love our creator 1st and follow the road of self destruction how may we " Love " ❤️ others. Purity of God's grace 🙏 begins with how he uses these souls as our daily bread to feed upon to cultivate life and grow together ❤️

This looks like a bunch of other Christian movies I've already seen. But like, with a little tiny twist to make me think it's different.
+Andre Silva People are all valuable beings and worthy of being acknowledged and loved. Movies on the other hand can be critiqued for their lack of creativity. Just because it's Christian doesn't give it an excuse.

I get what you mean. I don't particularly like Christian cookie cutter predictable movies. But this one was different for me. Something anyone can enjoy. It's not preachy, but still hopeful.

What you see here is a snippet of the central story. The subplots, in my opinion, are better. They're also a reason why a lot of Christians really didn't like it.
