Hi, do you have any idea about the official release date of the Pyxis? It was scheduled for June, but there has been no news from them since.
Hey! Not sure but from what I've heard it looks like end of July or beginning of August!
I used to shoot Blackmagic but have sold the last of that equipment. They have a broadcast studio centric design mindset which doesn’t suit my needs any more. If you have lots of light such as in a studio or on a bright sunny day the full frame sensor works reasonably well. But in the real world where you may not have the budget and crew to haul in lighting, or you need to shoot at night with limited lighting resources, that supposedly dual native sensor is terrible. The ISO 3200 is unusable and I’ve had to move to a different brand which provides a legit high-ISO option of 6400 in a weather sealed hybrid form factor. For larger budget projects I’m moving over to the C400 as soon as they start shipping. So like I say, if you work in well lit, weather protected environments (house of worship, small studio environments, conference streaming) the Pyxis and/or BMCC might work fine, but for anything run and gun in the real outside world, think twice or that sensor may leave you with a lot of noisy, often unusable footage.
"But there's a camera in here?" 💩😃
@@pavementgraphics Haha I wonder how many people they fooled 😂
