- Tony with Newt and Sean (from Movie Dumpster) review The Conjuring. In this Podcast / Movie Review of this film that spawned a whole cinematic universe they will talk about all the stuff that make this movie creepy! Like the doll in that got her own franchise, the ghosts that clap in the dark, and the demon that haunts the house.
In 1970, paranormal investigators and demonologists Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed (Patrick Wilson) Warren are summoned to the home of Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger (Ron Livingston) Perron. The Perrons and their five daughters have recently moved into a secluded farmhouse, where a supernatural presence has made itself known. Though the manifestations are relatively benign at first, events soon escalate in horrifying fashion, especially after the Warrens discover the house's macabre history.

Sean laughs like the Leprechaun. This if by far the spookiest episode on Hack The Movies.
P.S: Weird shadow at Newt's upper corner at 1:22:09
My wife's family is Persian, and jumping over a fire pit is actually part of celebrating the Persian New Year. So Tony is correct, it's a perfectly normal and fun activity, lol.

It's like wherever I am watching that movie, hack the movies is watching that same moonvie
Damn right I panicked when i didnt see newt in the thumbnail.
Same bro! I came here for the newt I came here for the newt so u can take movie dumpster and stick it up yr yeah stick it up yr yeah 🤣🤣🤣
@@theb47man29 Oh gee...
I have to disagree with Tony and Newt on this one, I actually liked The Conjuring and Insidious quite a bit. Great videos on this channel nonetheless. Do The Conjuring 2 before the 3rd one hits theatres!
Lol, "Stank on your hang low" is now officially a part of my lexicon of innuendos 🤣.
The conjuring are actually pretty fun newer horror movies. The one positive from the pandemic is I hope we start getting medium and lower budget movies again. Kinda seem to stop after the 90’s.
To Newt shouting out the great city of Tucson,AZ!
one of my fave places. i wanna come visit again soon

Shenanigans!
I didn't know that Robert Patrick's brother was the dude from Filter... Thanks Newt, I should take a picture.
hey man. nice shot
I saw Filter back in 2001 and that dude jumped off the stage to crowd surf and he kicked my crazy girlfriend in the face in the process. It was hilarious.
Newt needs his own show. Big newt fan btw

Gotta say, I've been enjoying these more than I ever did rental reviews. And I love James. I've been watching him since 2007.
Agreed! I like Tony and Newt together.
Tewt
I love James but he was the weakest link of rental reviews.
He never once seemed like he actually wanted to be doing it.
@@jacksonwayneputnam1599 Agreed. It would have been epic if he had the enthusiasm of Tony and Newt.
I liked RR a lot but i agree. Tony and crews enthusiasm really make the videos. James is good but i never much cared for his content outside of RR and Board James.
People will definitely be kicking themselves in regret for missing the opportunity to buy and invest in cryptocurrency
For real crypto is profitable
Crypto is the new gold
I wanted to trade Crypto but got confused by the fluctuations in price
That won't bother you, if you trade with professionals like Henry Brown trade options
I heard that his strategies are really good!
Ok, i really like the idea of beating Tony with a sack of oranges.. Can i get in on that, Newt? Also, can we get the light up shoes guy as a guest host?
The origins of The Conjuring are fascinating just not for the movie itself. The Warrens were notorious for any time they read or heard about something slightly off, they would invite themselves over to the location, get a hotel room in the area, and generally make a nuisance of themselves.
I want to say that in at least one instance, the people were openly making it up because they were trying to get out of the house, and they partnered with the Williams to try and get Credence for their story, I'm getting annoyed at them.
Before he died, I had read that the husband had recanted and had regretted what they had been doing which is why they had, as I understand it, gone radio silent for so many years. But then his widow needed some money, and started auctioning off their files. Again, going off of memory from something I read, I believe the story is she sold her filing cabinet to James Wan Studio.
For somebody who's interested in turning out generic horror films, this is a win. They now have dozens if not hundreds of script outlines that they can easily flush out into an 88 minute movie.
I'm really glad Tony kept this type of format going on. It works much better with just 2 people though. Rental reviews was a mess, especially in the early ones.
Where do I find the scene of Tony in Batman? Cant find it on youtube and I don't know a time code.
Hey now..a really good friend was an extra in Transformers 2. They hired a bunch of Air Force jet mechanics, etc in Alamogordo, NM to film a desert scene and he was one of the soldiers. True story.
I thought Sean was Curtis Armstrong before his riveting introduction
Oh and newt I heard you start to sing a verse of a song I bet I'm the only one that picked up on it. " The Cat came back a cartoon from O'Canada lol
Those cartoons were amazing. The date one always weirded me out lol. I hope im thinking of the same cartoons as you lol
Love, love, love. Very happy that I have this to watch on the way to pick up my son! Great work fellers!
That was a fun fact about Robert Patrick and Richard Patrick being siblings. I'm not sure how I never put those two together until it was said out loud. Thanks for the new information to use in trivia

I know Ed Warren was the only guy who wasn’t a priest that the Catholic Church recognized as being able to give exorcisms.
My wife does the same thing, damn sleep talking. Always ends in an argument about the tadpoles on the floor, why aren't they in a box? The cats are gonna eat them! Do we have popcorn? Maybe you can lure them outside..
Tony always sounds like he's trying to explain things to himself
No one puts Tony in a corner.

1:22:47 can’t wait for terrifier 2, you guys should review it

@@newtonwallen3210 oh cool I’ll check it out, terrifier is still great tho!
Every woman Tony knows has strange bruises. Hmm. Tony, are you hosting a women’s fight club we dont know about?
The Annabelle doll wasn't designed like that it was originally Raggedy Ann doll and it's a real life cursed doll that I do believe there is a story, that I heard that one guy knocking on the glass door and said this is horseshit and they told him to leave he was on his motorcycle and then all the sudden both he and his girlfriend died from the crash.
Yes I herd that story also it's one of there famaous stories about Annabell. Also when you take photos of the doll the eyes move there looking in different positions I seen them. I done my homework on the Warrens and I believe in alot of there stories. There's a RUclips channel they have,I think it's ( the Warrens chanel) there friend runs it he dose love streams he's also been with them when they went to the Amityville house.
Just discovered this channel !! Bingeing hard
I had a few buddies work on the crew of that movie.
Swamp Zombies 2 or Hack the Living Dead?
@@kimjongil5200 The Conjuring. It was shot in Wilmington, NC.
Sublime reference. Yes. That’s why I like watching you guys talking about tapes
Have y'all played RE Village? It's not as scary as RE7, but it's still got a lot of cool moments you might enjoy as a fan of horror.
I worked on Death Sentence staring Kevin Bacon, directed by James Wan. Not a good movie. But it sure was a fun experience.
Great movie
Death Sentence was a great movie!
I know you guys have a schedule, but it would be totally cool if you did a review of 1998 The Faculty.
Honestly asking.... Is pronouncing Saw as Saul a regional thing? It hits my ear every time and I've never been to Philadelphia so I'm curious.
He jumped over the fire pit even though he knew.. *wait for it*.. the fire rises!! 🤘 LOL at the assault and car battery lol!
My wife doesn't subscribe to the sleepwalking belief.
I take Ambien for insomnia. The doctor warned about sleepwalking. People have been known to things as extreme as driving while in a sleepwalking stupor.
The first couple of weeks, I would wake up in the kitchen eating all kinds of sh*t. I have woken up on the toilet. My wife had no chill about yelling at me to wake up. It would scare the hell out of me.
Newt: You can only go so far on your looks.
That aged like milk considering Crystal has been on her longer than Newt now.
Crystal isn't a plagiarist.
we need the Newtcast. Where he just talks about all the crazy hijinks he's experienced.
I really like this movie, it's not "John Carpenter's The thing" or "Alien", but it was a breath of fresh air when it came out. Maybe I remember it wrong but for a couple of years there weren't many big budget horrors with a decent story and some interesting "lore". They tried to create a background for the characters, make them likeable. The story is not groundbreaking but I like the fact the Warren's actually had an idea of what to do to solve the problem and cared for the affected family. It seemed to me like a fresh approach at the time, again nothing completely new, but you could see there was some thought behind it
It’s not “La Llorena.” It’s “La Llorona.” (‘La Yo Ro Na’)
I’m working on it haha! I think I’ve said it right since we recorded this, my girlfriend is Mexican so she was giving me a hard time on that one!
Newt does not turn his head when shaving
Kong may have lost the fight, But Kong is absolutely the better character and that was his movie.
Oh My God! I never thought I'd see the day when someone would bring up the pop tart jumpscare in Silent Hill Revelation besides Jordan Underneath.
Is it just me, or does bro in the middle sound like the one caveman from Terrible Thunder Lizards?!
James Wan really knows how to do horror/suspense movies
Yea insidious part 1&2 were great both together and apart.
The Tony girlfriend sleep talking stories are great! Great video

Oh my god this episode gets sooo scary at 37:18.
Don't get the recurring batman joke/acting reference. Please explain
Can we just agree that Newt is the best. Tony's okay too..I guess...
Newt is the MAN 👍🏻
Gotta admit, I never thought I'd see anyone outside of the UK mention Ghost Watch. That whole thing was amazing, especially as back when it happened that sort of thing just wasn't done, especially not with respected "real" journalists etc..
yea i remember when it happened. we had satellite tv
well, now i want to hang out with newt and talk about all the possibilities of ghost hauntings... i feel like my humor wouldn't be too extreme for him ;-)
Wait.. did Tony change the thumbnail? The power of newt!
Anyone realize Sean sounds like Murphy from that Disney cartoon?
Wow! this guy does a podcast? There's only like 200.000 of those!
And it's a movie review comedy podcast! We know, it's a VERY original idea! -Sean
@@MovieDumpster It the BEST movie review podcast! If I do say so myself.
what part did tony have in DARK KNIGHT RISES?
I had to look this up because I suddenly became very interested in knowing exactly when a ghost might know how to operate a pump-action shotgun. Turns out the first Winchester model came out in 1897. So unless that ghost was born (created? I don't know how ghosts work) in the last years of the 19th century, it would have NO IDEA how to operate one without seeing someone else do it first.
In this "true" story it was demon related right they know the nuclear launch codes
I woudn't say "NO IDEA".... First of all, its supposedly a demon/ghost, so it's safe to assume it would know simply due to demons/ghosts being here on earth with us, able to see us, therefor able to understand the current technology as well. Regardless, repeating/lever action rifles had been around during its time, and the first patent for a pump action rifle was already filed and they became pretty common not long after her death, so it would most likely pick up on its operation fairly quickly. The 42 dislikes are because Tony called Batman 1989 inferior to The Dark Knight Rises.
The conjuring is way good. Saw it in the movies and it was bad because of crowd reaction came home and it was scary af.
Modern movies like Sinister, Hereditary, the Conjuring, Insidious trilogy are kind of killing it lately. Horror in general is in a new golden age id say comparative to the 1980s when all the slasher films reinged.
Today we have so much more to choose from interpretive directors like Jordan Peele who integrates political messages and finds horror in everyday human affair, or Ari Aster who did hereditary and mid Sommar two different horror films that prey on different intellectual scares like what humans do to one another and just our development as a whole.
James Wan is in his own league with horror. He's literally controlled the market for 10 years with his titles.
You tell me that you want me, you tell me that you need me...
Yo, I love Terrifier...I made my girlfriend watch it with me haha didn't go over too well...
Funny ass episode. However at 1:22:08 to 1:22:09 top corner behind where Newt is. There is a mirror and the mirror caught something moving by it. Probably someone in the room behind the camera......or Tony...you got a ghost man. Call Dan Aykroyd tell him you love ghostbusters 2 so much he'd probably take care of it for you. 🤣🤣🤣
