Haven’t come across a video on the entire media that does such a remarkable and crystal clear job of briefly explaining the features and the process of booking a load through the loadlink software.
does this load board pay better than if you're leasing on to a carrier in general? how much less does this load board pay compared to a US load board like DAT?
@@truckadium I am a shipper and have about 30 pallets that I send LTL to various locations in USA each week. Could I become a broker to list the loads on Loadlink?
You need to get in touch with Loadlink for that. It could be for few reasons. If you are a Load Broker and not a Carrier, you will only see option to add loads and not trucks. Another reason could be related to your insurance if you are a Carrier and if Loadlink does not have updated insurance, it can take away the ability to post trucks. We would still recommend to get in touch with Loadlink customer service team for support
Hey, i'm doing the course this sat/sun. You said 2.20 per mile or km. How do you calculate the cost? I know you'd have to calculate gas but how much would you factor in for maintenance?
It was great to have you in the session. Hope we answered all your questions. Please feel free to reach out to us in future for any further guidance or support.
Loadlink does have a mobile app to use it while you are mobile. You can reach out to Loadlink for more details. However, it will still be better to install it on your laptop and you can carry the laptop with you in the truck.
Loadlink typically would give access to Carriers and Freight Brokers only, whether you are doing Canada wide or cross border loads. However, you can always check with them as well.
It depends from company to company. Every company has their own policies when they onboard new Carriers. You can book a load through Loadlink even your NSC is brand new. You just need to have all authorities and insurance active while booking loads.
It will be best to call Loadlink customer service team and they should be able to help. As per our understanding Loadlink does not give option to create your own username and password. Once you purchase Loadlink subscription they create user credentials for you which should work for both desktop version and app. Their mobile version can cost extra every month...
You need to have your trucking authorities to get access for Loadlink. You cannot access it as an Independent Dispatcher. Loadlink is a Canadian loadboard and you do not need MC number if you are operating within Canada. You will just need Canadian trucking authorities. However, rules for other loadboards can be different in the US if you are an independent truck dispatcher in the US. You can also reach out to different loadboards directly and find out the requirements.
We cannot provide you a referral, however if you are planning to start on your own most people will get their own trucking authorities and permits and start from the Loadboards like Loadlink in Canada and DAT in the US
Process for trucking permits varies from province to province. There are many companies who can get all the permits for and they charge a service fee. We also can help
Do lots of loads show up coming back into Toronto area? I’m finding with load boards they have loads going out of Toronto area to the USA but 0 coming back into Toronto area from the USA.
Overall load volumes are very low now. It also depends which part of US to Toronto you are searching loads. If you have Posting Index feature included in your Loadlink subscription, you can compare truck to load ratios on different lanes from Canada to US and from US to Canada for past many months.

Can a shipper list a load on loadlink? Or does it have to come from a broker?
You will not find Shipper loads on Loadlink. Loadlink is a match making platforms for Carriers and Freight Brokers/Freigh Forwardes/3PL companies

Are there a lot of Canada to US power only loads?
You can post a truck with equipment type Power Only, but you might not see too many power only loads on Loadlink.
Hey do you know if I can sign up to that load board as a dispatcher? Without MC I mean

Hi there. How did you get approved for loadlink as an independent dispatcher. Thank you for your insights.
We believe, Loadlink does not approve independent truck dispatchers. In the US some load boards allow independent truck dispatchers on their platform

Agree on the UI part :-). However, still has the largest network of Carriers and Load Brokers in Canada
