Thank you for your channel! My mom was Lao and sadly she passed away in 2015. I know a handful of her recipes, but this sausage was one I never thought I would be able to eat again because I never knew how she made it. She actually used to sit there on a stool in the kitchen for HOURS stuffing by hand with her thumbs. Thank you again for sharing, means so much to me. 🙂
I love making my own sausages. I still do it all by hand. Takes forever, but I enjoy it. It's interesting seeing different sausage recipes online. Thanks for sharing.😊
Lao sausages are legit the best in the world. They're different but, really, nothing tastes like it. My family just eats it with sticky rice but yknow.
Yes, this is what I'm use to but when I seen your video when you did it like meatballs. I never tried it that way. I can't wait to make the meatballs. Yummy 😋 🥰😘
This looks so great! Ive been watching a lot of video recipes on thai and laos sausages. This will be for sure my first sausage to make :) Just wondering if you could hang these up and let them ferment so it becomes sour? Im addicted to fermented sausages and want to make them at home :)
Saeng… I’m so glad I found your channel!!!! Your recipes are just amazing like I remember as a child. Brings me such great happiness in my belly for I miss my family cooking delicious Lao food! 🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗
Started making this a year ago now people always wanting more or to try it . First time I took some to work for coworkers to try 1 person eat it all ( over a lb !) before anyone could get a piece so needless to say yummy 😋
Sabaidii Thank you for recipe a different from our mum she puts coconut milk that make sausage more creamy Bon appétit remind me of our Nice country and my childhood
Wow, you don't use the Markut limes? I'm surprised to learn that, as I think of them as being far superior to Persian limes. I worked a grocery store where we sold them for a while, and I miss having access to them. They're like a super lime. So oily and dense and delicious. I'm so obsessed, I'm going to get a green house and grow my own. Bonus, free lime leaves!
Hi Saeng, I love sai oua. Thank you for sharing. Wondering where did you get the casing? I live in Los Angeles San Gabriel area. I usually shop at 99 Ranch or Arcadia but don’t think they sell the casings.

What do you like eating with Lao sausages?
I deep fry any left over sai oua slices and eat it in a bread bun, which really works.
Rice
Sticky rice and some papaya salad or long bean
