My go to oatmeal is 1/2 cup organic/gf oats, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup plant based milk, 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries, 1/4 cup frozen passion fruit and dragon fruit, in teaspoons for the following: chia seeds, hemp seeds, ground flax seeds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds and cacao nibs, and a drizzle of maple syrup! Lots of texture and fruity goodness 😊
My fav oatmeal is chocolate cherry! I add a little almond extract, too. Oh, and I use riced cauliflower to reduce the calorie density. Yummm! I’ll have to try your version. 😋
Got this idea from Broccoli mum, adding cocked chick peas to the oatmeal and blending with one banana and one date and cocoa powder and vanilla ext, baking powder and then pour in bowl and place frozen cherries on top and microwave 7-9 mins
Spaghetti if my daddy made sauce it started with jarred sauce then he added onion bellpepper and garlic cooked in olive oil ground beef ground pork sweet Italian sausage cut into rounds and pepperoni. And tomato paste and herbs. He made like 20 quarts at a time usually on Christmas eve and a coiole other times a year and we kept in the freezer. Hello from Madison Heights, Michigan. I am newer to discovering your channel. I just love your families humor! Thanks for the chuckles and for some recipe ideas. Have a great weekend.
I love to make a carrot cake variations of oatmeal… always shredded carrots, oats and almond milk but then… either maple syrup or vanilla extract, then a mix of spices ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg sometimes orange zest, then pecans, hazelnuts or walnuts and lastly some sort of mix up of chopped raisins, dried cranberries, dates, coconut flakes and/or pineapple (dried, fresh or canned), guess it depends on how I am feeling that day.
"It might be terrible, let's find out" has become my new motto. So far, in about 7 weeks, my only "fail" has been falafel with tzatziki sauce. BLECK. Thankfully, we had some left over pasta with a beautiful (full of roasted veg) sauce and salads to fall back on.
I’ve been making miso soup lately and it’s so good and really easy. Just heat vegetable broth with sliced mushrooms, add some sliced Wakame, ( you have to soak the Wakame first for about 30 minutes in hot water), then make a miso slurry with some of the broth to add at the end. Then slice some scallions to sprinkle on top. Sometimes I add a little tamari but the miso is salty so not too much. I’m a little obsessed with it lately. It’s very savory. Thanks for your shows. I’ve been really enjoying them.
That's a great starting point for anyone to make a soup! And I bet you can make a huge batch and just reheat it! Thanks for watching - glad you're enjoying!
Hey Jeremy I love your channel. That French fry thing is gonna be at Annie's wedding and on her tombstone 100 years from now. About oatmeal my go to favorite oats are mixed veg porridge I use rolled oats (steel cut in the instant pot would probably work) shredded tofu zucchini carrots broccoli and cauliflower. I use the box shredder but food processor would be good. Sometimes I add spinach or mushrooms really any veg works and I cook it in low sodium veg stock or seasonings (whatever works) Also carrot cake oats (if I want something sweet) equal parts rolled oats and finely shredded carrots 2 parts water cinnamon, nutmeg colves and ginger (or pie spice whatever) sorry I don't measure I just shake til the ancestors say to stop. When it's nearly cooked and vanilla. (I don't need more sweeteners but add to taste. Top with walnuts. If you like pineapple or raisins in through those in. Also vegan cream cheese or whipped topping will be good too.
I have a few oatmeal variations that I like, I make a carrot cake version with apple raisins and grated carrot, a PB& J version made with a Chia Bumbleberry (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, and chopped apple), and chocolate hazelnut and banana.
My oatmeal - 1/2 cup oats, 1 banana, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp flax meal, enough water to make it super soupy and microwave it for 2.5 minutes. After that mix in 2 tbsp cocoa powder and up to 2 cups of frozen blueberries. I usually also add 4 tbsp peanut butter powder for the protein.
I like my oatmeal with strawberry shortcake granola from the safe fair food company, shredded coconut, and a tablespoon of peanut butter but not mixed in that way I can grab it as I like.
My two favorite oatmeal breakfast are: oatmeal topped with blueberries, mangoes, cinnamon, lemon zest, maple syrup & oat milk. And the other is oatmeal cooked with chopped apples and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice then add ground flaxseed and oat milk.
Your ramen soup looks bomb! Your daughter scares me a lil, lol! 🤣 Jkjkjk, she's lovely, as you said! I do love the reality, another reason I love this channel so much! I'm definitely going to try the raman. My favorite oatmeal is either with sweet potato in it or pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spices. I like to add walnuts or pecans and maple syrup
The Ramen is fantastic! I love pumpkin with oatmeal too.... sweet potato feels too starchy for me - but I like the idea! I love throwing a handful of pecans in my airfryer for a few minutes while my oatmeal is cooking. tasted pecans for the win!

Quick easy pantry meal. Peanut sauce - some PB, red pepper flakes or some hot sauce, rice vinegar or lime juice, pinch of sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil if you got it. Garlic or something else or not. Got gochujang or miso? Sure, go crazy. Boil up some noodles that you like. Any veggies , chop up and stir fry. Chuck that leftover tofu in there too. It's *somewhat* outdated given all the other allergies that some kids have (gluten, etc....) so there's a general no-nut policy in schools. And my wife is a teacher, so I have to be careful with meals, snacks, etc.... Where do you live?
@@pbwithjeremy I live in New York State never heard of a nut ban in school. I also lived in Florida and California so I think it’s a Canadian thing
Yup - for sure here in Canada - I think it's in some states as well - but likely not!
I live in the Southern US. My kids are in high school but their schools have all been nut free since pre school
Also anything we send like cupcakes or cookies on birthdays has to be commercially packaged with ingredients listed. Way different from when I was in kinder almost 50 years ago ! @@crinick9344
Had to unsubscribe to your channel due to bad language. I was enjoying the cooking journey with you all but can’t do the bad language.
Thanks for letting me know. We’ve eliminated the language in the new videos if that helps.
@@pbwithjeremy Thank you! That is very much appreciated:)
We know a lot of families are watching so we're making it family friendly (while still being us!) so even if we slip up we'll beep it out - hope that helps!@@JennCG
I like your videos, but skip the cussing would make it much nicer. I had to cut the sound several times, because I don't care for my grandchildren to hear it. Otherwise..........great recipes
Sorry about that - will work on eliminating that moving forward. Appreciate you letting me know!
@@pbwithjeremyI agree I have the same issue. I don’t care for me,but it’s hard to find the time to watch your videos without my son around.
With that said just found your channel not too long ago and trying to catch up on them. Lots of good stuff!
@@chrispicakes6577 this is great to know. moving forward I'll do my best to avoid it or at least bleep it out - hope that helps!
