Interesting boot. I have a Fischer RC4 140 which is about three years old molded with max pressure in the vacuum fit machine. It's really snug and very stiff! Definitely nothing wrong with the vacu-plast in those boots. For freeride I really needed something a bit softer, so I got a 19/20 RC4 "The Curv" 130 and it's totally different. I need a ski boot horn to get into the old 140, but on the new 130 the plastic over the instep just flexes and my foot slides in. That's cool, but the boot feels more like a 120 flex as well, and that's on the softer side for me. It's also been molded twice in the Fischer vacuum machine (once with a bit of over-heating the boots), but it still feels too loose. So I really don't know wth Fischer is doing nowadays... I'm considering just getting a pair of Hawx Ultra 130 as I've had good luck with the Hawx Ultra XTD 130 this season. Last season we got the Tecnica CAS pro tool in our shop as well. I guess that works well with Techinca's boots, but definitely not with all other types of plastic. (An inexperienced colleague of mine melted a pair of Dalbello Lupo AX boots :D) I still prefer the heat gun, but the punching part of that machine is nice. Not sure I like the idea that you need one set of tools for every brand of boots. :/

Interesting on the Fischers! Yeah I think this will be an improvment on previous years Fishcer boot options. Maybe just a little too many things thrown all at once in regards to liners. :)
Interesting thing on the new heat system has is the ability to set temperatures to different brands, so you can do a quick key button for a heating a Salomon for example.
I agree with you for the heat gun, creature of habit and knowing what I can do with skill. But I like the fact that you could 'mostly' trust others to get a good result with a system like this. Also shows the customer a direct cause/effect for altering the boot.
Oh No on the Lupo's! :O

Looks like they are making some progress.
I have RC4 The Curve but feel to loose in calves, and also to much of forward lean, so i get qads burn.
Its been custom molded but after two years i belive they softened up.
Is there a way to firm them up and maybe decreas lean angle?

I would have to check on the old ones in relation to stance angles, but if nothing on the back like this iteration, you would have to remove the spoiler and test a heel wedge to ease up your fwd lean.
Firming up could be done with a bolt on the back or stiffener plate on the front.

@Patriot Footbeds, I've got a quick question, please!
By how much can these boots be expanded last wise?
My last is 102mm (weighted). I've always bought 102 mm boots and they were good. But my boot fitter measured my last unweighted. It was 100mm.
He managed to sqeeze me from my Atomic LiveFit 130 (old model, 3 buckles) into the Hawx Prime 130 (100mm). I've never skiied better! 😊
Now that I've got the taste for it, I am wondering if I could be squeezed into 98mm boots?
Allegedly, the Fischers can be stretched by up to 5mm. Is that right?
My boot fitter unfortunately doesn't stock Fischer. I know I could be fitted into MV (99mm), but if the LV (96mm) could be stretched up to 101mm, I'd really love to try to find a boot fitter who would accept that challenge!
(Btw I'm in the UK, otherwise you'd be my first choice)! 😊
Love your reviews and all the help & advice you give to the people! 👍👏
    Good on ya mate! 😊👍

Hi Spartan, Yeah this boot is one of my favourites of the year! You should be able to get 5mm in the forefoot with the Fischers no problem at all. Just keep in mind that the volume throughout the boot also reduces, so the whole fit needs to work. But as long as that is looking within the parameters, then you could have great success.
You may be inspired to just run slalom laps all day in these though! :) :)
      Have a great winter!
      Cheers mate,
      Craig
