Would love to play it, pre ordered last night for download special edition but will not work, many people having same problem,paid £75 as well for early access but can’t play it. Took my money though robbing bastards....really annoyed 😠
Out of joking, the AI is so frustrating, I have played Ride and Ride 2, I'm not buying any more games in the series. Suspension setting is mind boggling and AI seems like a seek and destroy machine. Having played Tourist Trophy I would like the Japanese to show what a good bike games could be in this day and age. Italians IMHO seem to care a lot about the aesthetics but not playability.
Hated the game on PS4. Stopped playing, then few months later, decided to download the game on PS5. Loved it ever since. Learn a lot from RUclips amd realised there was a rear brake function, also learned that you got to think that the left stick is your rider's body. So, push forward to tuck in, and push back to lift body up, then you basically roll the stick around to get smooth inputs when turning left to right while also pushing forward as you accelerate. Almost got a platinum, but cant do it because cant find a single online race..
I’ve played the series since just “Ride” and have felt those emotions in every single iteration! I’ve gotta say though that to people who may be put off, there are loads of things you can do to help you along the way. Full racing lines, breaking lines, you can change the aggression of the other riders, the overall difficulty of the game, assisted braking, off track aides, full automatic shifting, and semi automatic where it’ll still change gear if you don’t yourself. It is a difficult game but they do everything they can to help and there’s nowt wrong with accepting it! Especially when it leads you into probably one of the best racing games ever made!
Are you not going to mention the fact that the handling and physics are all messed up? The fact that on the hardest turn of Laguna the game lags? The fact that the bike slides diagonally off the track when trail braking? Whoever developed the physics engine in this game has never ridden a bike on a track once in their life!
Is that true? Is see others praise the more realistic physics compared to the other RIDE titles. The animations look very good so I wonder now about the handling.
@@Barbarossa97 check my comment too. It's really that bad, no exaggerations. There is an update on the Xbox atm, I will soon check the game again if there are any physics fixes. Edit: Still the same sh*t after update, total trash.
@@Barbarossa97 Just wait like 6 months before buying the game. It has lots of issues. Some of the challenges are simply too hard. Like honestly. The game has a lot of rough edges.
GREAT GAME. 12/10. HARDER then nails, but extremely rewarding, definitely worth every penny. But I can understand how it's not for everyone! It is like S.T.A.L.K.E.R shadow of Chernobyl. Extremely good, but hard.
I was watching the video with the automatic captions on. In 8:53 and 9:02 we can only hear the engine of the bike. And what the subtitles show: "[Music]" It makes sense. XD
The 2nd TT game is awesome but I understand the difficulty. You literally have to learn every track or will come nowhere on any AI setting. I mainly concentrate on the Snaefell and it's amazing how well even a retard like me can learn almost 38 miles of road course like the back of their hand. It's worth it if your heart is in it. This game, Ride 4, is fuckin shit! :p
I‘m totally disappointed. Ride 3 was much more fun to play. This game is just frustrating and uninspired. I takes hours to get enough credits to buy a nice bike. And I dont see a big difference in grafics.
@@MattParra15 I never played Ride 2! 3 was my entry point. Did Ride 2 have licence time trials? If Ride 4 didn't have the awful tight time trials for licences & events, the Career/game would be so much better! You could still have your time trials, best lap times in a online competitive mode!
By far the best moto game ever made to this date , amazing , I was the biggest fan of the tt from polyphony, until now I never find a game to top that tt , finally they made a TT 2020 version ! Thanks milestone! Amazing
Have been playing for a couple days now, I can say that the game definitely needs improvements. I've played MotoGP20 daily since release and that game blows Ride 4 out of the water.
Right! The physics in this game are total shit. The bikes literally slide diagonally off the track side ways when trying to trail brake. The stock tires and brakes suck as well! The game needs a total overhaul!

@@louisluxenberg2524 I'm hoping they will, GP20 had a few issues with physics when it was first released and Milestone released a few updates that did major things to the physics within the first few months which has made the game amazing. I just hope a lot of people speak out about the same things for this game to make it happen

That's the best one, I ride in real life and ride 3 was less realistic with the physics and rider movement than ride 2, haven't played this one yet but I heard its worse than 3

Same was looking to get ride 4 but I was always disappointed with the handling of ride 2 and how slow they made certain bikes feel not to mention how half assed the audio is in every milestone game
Really frustrating game, it must be the only racing game ever where you can’t use the kerbs . Just touch the kerb slightly and it fails you. Utterly ridiculous, hope they sort this with a patch or won’t be playing for much longer..
Sadly this is a carry over mechanic they even have in MotoGP 20. It's ridiculous considering even in real life MotoGP, full use of the curb is completely legal.

Johannes Ostenfeld-Rosenthal games are meant to be “fun” not frustrating. I bought the special edition which was very expensive. I’m having trouble just passing the first time trial. Motogp 20 was not this difficult. I want my money back!
Awful game indeed I wont be supporting this developer ever again and i deleted this nightmare and shame on the developer for their ridiculous game physics and penalties what a mess…
And i find the license tests a pain in the ass im night not really a night time driver maybe my vision is going but it feels like school again but its a game that could use some ai tweaking. But the honda vtr world license test pain in the ass at night.
I finish the world license its gotten alot easier now no problems at all the ai has been tweeked but the best thing in this game is to let pack thin out and then pick them off one by one. Found my flow i had back in moto gp playing days. Its not hard anymore figure out setups than its pretty smooth.
I’ve had a couple ride games. This one looks great too but if I gotta grind to ride perfect too get a license then I’m a bit undecided to yet. I can only grind for so long until I get frustrated and move on to another game

I really liked Moto GP 07. With all the unrealistic aids turned off it is the closest thing of played to racing a real bike (which I've done). I got a couple of later games 10 and 13 and they are too arcadey. I'm giving this a go, it's downloading now. If nothing else I can use it to test some PC hardware.
@@MrKingNica I have barely played it, got addicted to Moto GP 20 on my Xbox and now Moto GP 19 on my PC which is the best one in my opinion so far. Also bought Ride 3 on sale for the Xbox which is pretty much the same game.
hard != realism. Any good simulator has you going with ease, because realistic physics feel natural. Any review i see has people all over the place and the only reason you win is because the AI is clearly slower even though they get proper corner exit
Like the new look of the game, graphics, new tracks, new menu music as ride 3 got on my nerves with its 3 track play list in the background. But...... Ride 3 in gameplay is much more fun to play and you can relax and get into it and enjoy the game. In Ride 4 i hate the twitching back end of the bike coming out of corners, hate the way the A.I slam into you and knock you off every corner, hate the time trials as you accidentally touch a crumb of soil..... its game over.. Why?? if your on a straight, you haven't gained time anyway, on Ride 3 you just got a penalty for cutting a corner.... pretty fair I'd say. And the parts on your bike were more customisable in Ride 3. Guess I was expecting Ride 3 with better graphics, more bikes and tracks but same accessible game play. Massively gutted.....
I hope they bring in the 600 gsxr srad alstare.. It was a free bike in ride 3.. Dlc pack called 600cc passion is releasing march.. Maybe itll be in it... 2 750 srads so i hope they add the 600
I have been playing Ride 4 since it released last night on the XboxOneX and having played all the Ride series and MotoGP 17 to 19, completed all of them fully to the end in career modes I can honestly say Ride 4 is literally the worst amongst all previous titles no matter what others may say. It is said that the AI is improved but hell no, if not even worse, the AI will just make you fall whether they are behind or infront of you, a small touch and you are gone. No improvements over the previous titles besides loading times, tire wear, fuel and variable changing weather mechanics. The given racing line is a joke as previous titles so never use it as usual. Riding style customization is gone with only 2 options given, so no more custom Rossi style animations. You still have the same halfway limited unrealistic arcade wheelies but better stoppies. Tracks, bikes are all the same if not even less, supermoto tracks are now removed.. BGM sucks as usual. Grinding cash for unlocking big bikes in early gameplay by only doing chill/relaxed time trial runs is no longer an option since it gives you little to nothing compared to the insanely very expensive bike prices. Gearbox, chain and suspension upgrades no longer change your stats or increase your Performance Index Points.. I am literally done giving Milestone hard earned cash for good. If you haven't played these games or so called sims before and willing to give it a try, save some bucks and get ride 2 or 3 since they are much better than this crap. Long story short there is no reason at all to buy this game for a sane person if you own any of previous Ride titles or have even never owned. It's literally crap💩
@@cambojones3100 sadly it is but those engine sounds and slightly improved graphics makes me play it everyday to give it another try/chance until I come up at the first corner which I regret to the end. I am playing Ride 3 atm enjoying it like crazy.

@@cambojones3100 tons of bikes and tracks are missing. The game is a stripped down Ride 3 version with a sound&graphic pack mod that messed with the game physics.
Regret buying this game. So dissapointed. It looks great but thats about it. Physics are trash, braking system is terrible. No supermoto tracks haha ok... no traction control settings. motogp20 blows this game out of the water. Milestone should have learnt from that the sucess of that game
This is the best reviews out there. Would like to see a ride 3 and ride 4 Comparison. Also, did you play on ps4 pro or just ps4. I ve just got the ps4. But might wait for ps5 and see how looks there. Ive found ride 3 pro physics very unrealistic. I ride bikes myself, not only play games. Hopefully physics are more realistic in ride 4 then in ride 3.
I am not able to change the language from Russian to English on PC ! Tried using google lens for translation to get me to language change option unfortunately I was unable to find one !
Its an amzing game. Bravo Milestone and Unreal engine. I will say the one of thebest racing games ever including the big car titles like Forza, Gran tourismo. I recently bought the ride 4 but i am nor happy with it Even i have the throttle full open,why all bikes which i have already driven,goes slower😣😣?? For example in the European licence at mugello circuit the cbr goes only 205km/h and i have to pass the line with more than 225 km/h so i can't pass the test... And the last one is that i bought it with 2 dlc packs (pre order bonus) which were not included...
Also I don’t want to get too many more games as ps5 will be out soon and I gotta decide which version I want from that. I just wish the ps5 came as one until with disc and digital all in one because i got both digital and disc games that I still want to play from my ps4 if the ps5 has backwards capability then how can I play both disc and digital from my ps4 if ps5 is only available as two separate versions?
Graphics are great. Game play is horrible. It is impossible to turn like the ai does. The brakes dont stop like the ai does. Ride 2 and 3 im a beast at with realistic mode on. This game i cant win with simple and ai difficulty all the way down. Its infuriating.
The bikes look very nice but would be really interested if it had a bit of Road Rash gameplay in it lol, thrown in some chains and baseball bats and I'm sold! also would love to experiencing this in VR P.S. - They really need to do a next gen version of that game, could be amazing fun online multiplayer
Yeah this time trial 20 sec retry time is so anoiying this needs to be fixed , i allready quit playing a few times because i was sick of it but yeah overall solid game
Needs open world and plenty of mods with decent sounding bikes. Just think horizon but bikes with nfsu2 customisation. Bikers get no love in games. These graphics in a new road rash too.
Good review, played since the beginning game but decided not to buy this one as yet again the AI are terminators, ride 3 they act like your not there and this one looks way worse. Hopefully they can fix this as the rest of it looks great.
Better then Gp20 hmmmm that is a bold claim for me becuse that game on track is absolutely brilliant, I'd love this game to be as good on track an if it is I'll gladly buy it but for me ride 3 on track was weird where moto gp 20 which I bought shortly after was the epic.......
The only dev capable of making great feeling bikes in a game. And those bike models 🥰 I have owned many bikes over the years and to see them recreated so lovingly is awesome. I admit I almost buy the game just to see my old bikes and using photo mode on them 😊
thanks for doing this review it helped alot, when you said licenses I'm Out, I want to spend time playing the game not getting licenses that was the 1 thing I never liked about Gran tourismo some of them were very time consuming and flustrating and it sounds like you had the same experience with this game
Moto gp 20 is way better than how ride 4 handles, too much realism ruined the fun. Time attack needs to be improved, it's frustrating as hell. It forces everyone to be a motorcycle expert! Some people just want to relax and have fun while playing a game I guess.

@@adamstark6263 I have driven motorcycles since I was very young both on the street and on the track and I can tell you that what you say about physics is very far from reality, it is true that it is still a game, but I can assure you that it is more similar to the reality that I have tried in motorcycle games, which I have never liked because of the unrealism they had. And I repeat, there are not a few motorcycles that I have had including several R of 750.

100% agree, I wanted this to be a fun enjoyable game, all the ingredients are there but gameplay is too frustratingly difficult for a quick fun game. I got a refund after two days, such a shame.
Just an awful game i actually deleted the game and selling online for half of what i paid for this disaster…wont be buying anything from this developer as the game penalizes u for smallest imperfection in gameplay and developers must have lost their mind forgetting the fact that people play games to have fun not to torture themselves if anyone wanted to have a real simulation they would not bother with video game…
Fellow rider here, the physics are decent. The rear brake is a bit annoying and the bikes tend to understeer without some suspension tuning. Overall I do love this game and am happy to support a developer who shares our love for bikes.
Well it’s a great review. I think I will get this game. I did like the other ride games it’s just the frustration that you gotta maybe try several times to ride right on sections of track to advance and get a license but gt car race game is like that too so it won’t frustrate me too much
It can be frustrating, but like i say, dont let that put you off, just know that you.may have to spend a bit of time with it. It can be very rewarding.

A thing that i like is that when it has rained the rain slowly fades away on the ground over time
A motorbike sim/game in VR will be amazing and easy to map a more real play stile using the VR controllers, as V-racer hoverbike does...

Johannes Ostenfeld-Rosenthal games are meant to be “fun” not frustrating. I bought the special edition which was very expensive. I’m having trouble just passing the first time trial. Motogp 20 was not this difficult. I want my money back!

if you bike weight goes down when u change rims, usualy means that te rims are lighter...
And i find the license tests a pain in the ass im night not really a night time driver maybe my vision is going but it feels like school again but its a game that could use some ai tweaking. But the honda vtr world license test pain in the ass at night.
I finish the world license its gotten alot easier now no problems at all the ai has been tweeked but the best thing in this game is to let pack thin out and then pick them off one by one. Found my flow i had back in moto gp playing days. Its not hard anymore figure out setups than its pretty smooth.
tried this on pc , controls are not good,sluggish, laggy , looks very nice but let down with gameplay for me
I’ve had a couple ride games. This one looks great too but if I gotta grind to ride perfect too get a license then I’m a bit undecided to yet. I can only grind for so long until I get frustrated and move on to another game

I really liked Moto GP 07. With all the unrealistic aids turned off it is the closest thing of played to racing a real bike (which I've done). I got a couple of later games 10 and 13 and they are too arcadey. I'm giving this a go, it's downloading now. If nothing else I can use it to test some PC hardware.

@@MrKingNica I have barely played it, got addicted to Moto GP 20 on my Xbox and now Moto GP 19 on my PC which is the best one in my opinion so far. Also bought Ride 3 on sale for the Xbox which is pretty much the same game.

hard != realism. Any good simulator has you going with ease, because realistic physics feel natural. Any review i see has people all over the place and the only reason you win is because the AI is clearly slower even though they get proper corner exit
Like the new look of the game, graphics, new tracks, new menu music as ride 3 got on my nerves with its 3 track play list in the background. But...... Ride 3 in gameplay is much more fun to play and you can relax and get into it and enjoy the game. In Ride 4 i hate the twitching back end of the bike coming out of corners, hate the way the A.I slam into you and knock you off every corner, hate the time trials as you accidentally touch a crumb of soil..... its game over.. Why?? if your on a straight, you haven't gained time anyway, on Ride 3 you just got a penalty for cutting a corner.... pretty fair I'd say. And the parts on your bike were more customisable in Ride 3. Guess I was expecting Ride 3 with better graphics, more bikes and tracks but same accessible game play. Massively gutted.....
I hope they bring in the 600 gsxr srad alstare.. It was a free bike in ride 3.. Dlc pack called 600cc passion is releasing march.. Maybe itll be in it... 2 750 srads so i hope they add the 600
I have been playing Ride 4 since it released last night on the XboxOneX and having played all the Ride series and MotoGP 17 to 19, completed all of them fully to the end in career modes I can honestly say Ride 4 is literally the worst amongst all previous titles no matter what others may say.
It is said that the AI is improved but hell no, if not even worse, the AI will just make you fall whether they are behind or infront of you, a small touch and you are gone. No improvements over the previous titles besides loading times, tire wear, fuel and variable changing weather mechanics. The given racing line is a joke as previous titles so never use it as usual. Riding style customization is gone with only 2 options given, so no more custom Rossi style animations. You still have the same halfway limited unrealistic arcade wheelies but better stoppies. Tracks, bikes are all the same if not even less, supermoto tracks are now removed.. BGM sucks as usual. Grinding cash for unlocking big bikes in early gameplay by only doing chill/relaxed time trial runs is no longer an option since it gives you little to nothing compared to the insanely very expensive bike prices. Gearbox, chain and suspension upgrades no longer change your stats or increase your Performance Index Points..
I am literally done giving Milestone hard earned cash for good. If you haven't played these games or so called sims before and willing to give it a try, save some bucks and get ride 2 or 3 since they are much better than this crap.
Long story short there is no reason at all to buy this game for a sane person if you own any of previous Ride titles or have even never owned. It's literally crap💩

@@cambojones3100 sadly it is but those engine sounds and slightly improved graphics makes me play it everyday to give it another try/chance until I come up at the first corner which I regret to the end. I am playing Ride 3 atm enjoying it like crazy.

@@cambojones3100 tons of bikes and tracks are missing. The game is a stripped down Ride 3 version with a sound&graphic pack mod that messed with the game physics.

Regret buying this game. So dissapointed. It looks great but thats about it. Physics are trash, braking system is terrible. No supermoto tracks haha ok... no traction control settings. motogp20 blows this game out of the water. Milestone should have learnt from that the sucess of that game
got a refund with over 3 hours of gameplay....WOOHOO thank god for that.

This is the best reviews out there. Would like to see a ride 3 and ride 4 Comparison. Also, did you play on ps4 pro or just ps4. I ve just got the ps4. But might wait for ps5 and see how looks there. Ive found ride 3 pro physics very unrealistic. I ride bikes myself, not only play games. Hopefully physics are more realistic in ride 4 then in ride 3.

the bikes just slow down at some point for now reason. For example I can't get the gsxr1000 from 2014 (I believe) to go over 245km/h.

Its an amzing game. Bravo Milestone and Unreal engine. I will say the one of thebest racing games ever including the big car titles like Forza, Gran tourismo. The looks totally amazing, like next gen. I am on X box one x It is maybe the best looking game i have. The game, and whats waiting ahead - well listen to this review

I recently bought the ride 4 but i am nor happy with it
Even i have the throttle full open,why all bikes which i have already driven,goes slower😣😣??
For example in the European licence at mugello circuit the cbr goes only 205km/h and i have to pass the line with more than 225 km/h so i can't pass the test...
And the last one is that i bought it with 2 dlc packs (pre order bonus) which were not included...

Also I don’t want to get too many more games as ps5 will be out soon and I gotta decide which version I want from that. I just wish the ps5 came as one until with disc and digital all in one because i got both digital and disc games that I still want to play from my ps4 if the ps5 has backwards capability then how can I play both disc and digital from my ps4 if ps5 is only available as two separate versions?

Graphics are great. Game play is horrible. It is impossible to turn like the ai does. The brakes dont stop like the ai does. Ride 2 and 3 im a beast at with realistic mode on. This game i cant win with simple and ai difficulty all the way down. Its infuriating.
I will get this or motogp 2021. We shall see.

The bikes look very nice but would be really interested if it had a bit of Road Rash gameplay in it lol, thrown in some chains and baseball bats and I'm sold! also would love to experiencing this in VR P.S. - They really need to do a next gen version of that game, could be amazing fun online multiplayer

I ride on road atlanta. I have never been Penalized for. Using the apron (painted curb). Graphics are great. Rules and AI just too much.

Needs open world and plenty of mods with decent sounding bikes. Just think horizon but bikes with nfsu2 customisation. Bikers get no love in games. These graphics in a new road rash too.
Good review, played since the beginning game but decided not to buy this one as yet again the AI are terminators, ride 3 they act like your not there and this one looks way worse. Hopefully they can fix this as the rest of it looks great.

The only dev capable of making great feeling bikes in a game. And those bike models 🥰 I have owned many bikes over the years and to see them recreated so lovingly is awesome. I admit I almost buy the game just to see my old bikes and using photo mode on them 😊
thanks for doing this review it helped alot, when you said licenses I'm Out, I want to spend time playing the game not getting licenses that was the 1 thing I never liked about Gran tourismo some of them were very time consuming and flustrating and it sounds like you had the same experience with this game
How is this game playable? The joystick controller on the ps4 makes the rider flop all over the place in the POV. It's absolute garbage.

Moto gp 20 is way better than how ride 4 handles, too much realism ruined the fun. Time attack needs to be improved, it's frustrating as hell. It forces everyone to be a motorcycle expert! Some people just want to relax and have fun while playing a game I guess.
Ride 3 did it better in terms on game play
Easy, play a more arcade game like Ride 3 or Moto gp. For me is the first fun moto game of all the times.

The game is simply too difficult... The bikes do look amazing. And I love the customization... But the riding is simply GARBAGE
100% agree, I wanted this to be a fun enjoyable game, all the ingredients are there but gameplay is too frustratingly difficult for a quick fun game. I got a refund after two days, such a shame.

This game is way too hard. I used to play Forza Motorsport. Been messing with it for about a month and I still suck.
Buy 2 and 3 those are as close to horizon with bikes as you can get
Just an awful game i actually deleted the game and selling online for half of what i paid for this disaster…wont be buying anything from this developer as the game penalizes u for smallest imperfection in gameplay and developers must have lost their mind forgetting the fact that people play games to have fun not to torture themselves if anyone wanted to have a real simulation they would not bother with video game…
The game looks really nice, but as someone who rides the ride physics look pretty terrible.
Fellow rider here, the physics are decent. The rear brake is a bit annoying and the bikes tend to understeer without some suspension tuning. Overall I do love this game and am happy to support a developer who shares our love for bikes.
Well it’s a great review. I think I will get this game. I did like the other ride games it’s just the frustration that you gotta maybe try several times to ride right on sections of track to advance and get a license but gt car race game is like that too so it won’t frustrate me too much
It can be frustrating, but like i say, dont let that put you off, just know that you.may have to spend a bit of time with it. It can be very rewarding.
I won’t be buying it because I hate time attacks Ride 3 was ruined by them way too many time attacks and they were difficult, this looks likes it bombarded with them so no I won’t waste my money on this crap. Graphics look amazing though I must say.

They just drive their line. If you are there - down. RESTART AGAIN Well you can use the rewind feature, but WHY NOT LEARN THE Ai TO AVOID OTHER DRIVERS MILESTONE???????
