I still have an iPhone 7 (very old I know!) which doesn’t have the option to ‘limit frame rate’ so instead I tapped on ‘reduce motion’ & it’s made quite a difference to my battery life. For some reason it’s only RUclips which really drains my battery. There’s plenty of other websites that I watch movies on, for up to 2 hours at a time sometimes, but they don’t make much difference to how long the battery lasts. So anyone who has an old phone, maybe try this, it’s been great for me 👍
I would like to mention one thing which I feel u should highlight to all users.. currently I am using iOS 17.5.1 in iPhone 15. Battery life was very poor and it hardly used to backup full day.. standby time was worst . I saw 10% battery drop overnight in idle.. My device is fairly new (40 days old) and so I decided to contact Apple. Explained them everything and they run some diagnostic tool and found no issue . Then they ran a battery calibration test and it took some time to complete.. they also installed another program and performed something. When I asked them they said system optimiser.. after all this they asked me to drain the battery till 10% and charge 100%. After doing the same the game changes.. now I am getting a battery life which never saw on any iPhone, period. Yesterday it gave me 7hrs 12 mins of screen on time and 46min screen idle time. I unplugged the charger exactly at 12am midnight so the screen timing is pretty accurate on single charge.. I replugged the charger today at 6am with 25% battery left.. so it ran almost 30hrs.. this is incredible..
Broooo im so glad i found your comment 😭 im having the same issue as you. I got my iph15 pro alittle over 2 weeks ago. And im having major battery problems. It would go down a percentage like every 4-5 mins. I contacted apple support and did the same thing, they said no issues with the battery so they cant do anything about it. So when u say “game changes” was it the new app that they installed or was it draining to 10% then charging back to 100%.? Which one fixed it? Pleaseeee i want my battery to last longer too 🙏🙏
@@kaungkhantzaw8826 yes.. drain it till 10% and then 100.. And about battery draining 1% in about 4-5min is perfectly normal if u u e using ur device. If this is happening in standby then it is something to bother.. check for application that is draining ..

True Tone is a battery killer as well.
It’s adaptive 120hz that switches to 7 different rates but can go to as low as 10 hz so best bet is not limiting frame rate
