Here is an extremly usefull tip, if you play an demonhunter or a dractyhr you can double jump to glide an then use the meteor. If you now press jump again while in the meteor you can completly controll the meteor

I want to add that you can also use any parasol toy so really prolong how far you will fly, on the isle of thunder and timeless isle though it's rarely needed

any tips on farming meteors

I've been trying hard to figure out how to farm these, most drops i've gotten from the infinite caches and the easiest way to farm those has been completing quests and daily quests or just spamming heroic dungeons.
But you can absolutely use them way faster than you can farm them

If you don't want to put blink in your gear socket . Get kites gliders from Ku-Mo 1000 timeless coins for 5 . They only work on the timeless isle.
Also put Windreaver tinker gem is a socket so you can avoid fall damage.( Which I keep on ) So you can jump down when need.
You can also use this to farm bronze on top the tall peaks by flying in and deploying them or Highwind Albatross Aka the seagulls.

They don't make you take fall dmg so that's okay, but more fun items or toys to use is always great

what add-on is best to see/know when rares spawn

Rarescanner, NPCscan, Silverdragon are all good options.
You can use something like handynotes to see where rares spawn

whats the best place to get meteor chips?

Currently trying to find the best way, but atm they are just random drops from all kinds of content, i've gotten most of mine from the infinite caches

Windreaver tinker gem also makes u take no fall damage, so get creative

I've never taken fall dmg from these, so dont see the issue haha
