nah, i think the sash fits the theme of the wedding. they're gonna be outdoors, riding ATVs, the reception's probably gonna be in a barn or an elk lodge, i can respect the bride for wanting to tie her dress to all that with a camo sash. i'm just not sure they picked a *material* that compliments the sash, but i've seen way worse bridal looks than a nice lace dress with a camo sash.

Some can indeed be quite tasteful :) I made a custom one for my friend, and it had mostly white but with a piece of winter camo, and the corset back has a winter camo tie. I think that regular green camouflage can be a bit... much... but the white camo can go a long way without being overwhelming.
I think she looks great, the sash looks perfectly fine on the dress. It's just not the typical. But she looks so happy, and, cliche as it sounds, that really does make people look beautiful. And I don't think she'll regret it someday. It's something meaningful in her and her fiance's relationship, and it's something that makes the dress uniquely hers. I actually kinda love that.
Unique isn't necessarily good though. If you wore a necklace made out of meatballs at your wedding, it wouldn't be tradition either and it certainly would be unique. It'd still be ugly as sin.

At the end it’s not about the dress or anything else, it’s about the love they share for each other and the fact that they accept each other’s personality. Is it my taste? Not at all but there’s something kind of inspiring for her to do what makes her happy despite what other people think.

nah, i think the sash fits the theme of the wedding. they're gonna be outdoors, riding ATVs, the reception's probably gonna be in a barn or an elk lodge, i can respect the bride for wanting to tie her dress to all that with a camo sash. i'm just not sure they picked a *material* that compliments the sash, but i've seen way worse bridal looks than a nice lace dress with a camo sash.

Some can indeed be quite tasteful :) I made a custom one for my friend, and it had mostly white but with a piece of winter camo, and the corset back has a winter camo tie. I think that regular green camouflage can be a bit... much... but the white camo can go a long way without being overwhelming.

I think she looks great, the sash looks perfectly fine on the dress. It's just not the typical. But she looks so happy, and, cliche as it sounds, that really does make people look beautiful. And I don't think she'll regret it someday. It's something meaningful in her and her fiance's relationship, and it's something that makes the dress uniquely hers. I actually kinda love that.
Unique isn't necessarily good though. If you wore a necklace made out of meatballs at your wedding, it wouldn't be tradition either and it certainly would be unique. It'd still be ugly as sin.

SO GLAD THIS MOM STOOD UP FOR HER DAUGHTER!!! So many of these mothers just let their kid get beat down and so it was nice to see her respect that individuality.
But... Jessica wasn't making it about herself at all. She was a Good sister, trying to honestly and lovingly protect her sister against a very stupid and costly mistake. Had only the mother loved the bride enough to help overcome such gross stubbornness and help her find a way to integrate that ugly sash any other way. Her mother actually assisted in getting her daughter bride to get beat down by her own doings. It's one thing to respect individuality. It's another thing, to do that in a kind and smart way, as in helping the bride not disfigure herself.
Thank goodness that Monty was able to glam up the sash. She has her heart set on it, so he made it work.
