Some people actually do get lucky in love. I’ve a friend whose parents were married after 2 weeks of knowing each other. 30+ years later, they’re still happily together.
I'm celebrating 6 years of marriage with my husband this October on the 25th. We met New Year's Eve after matching on ok Cupid. We saw eachother from across the parking lot and had that love at first sight thing, only it wasn't physical, don't get me wrong, my husband and I are ridiculously attracted to eachother, but it's like our souls were seeing eachother before our eyes did. He took my hand, and we wondered the streets talking like the best of frinds. He asked to see me the next day, and the next. I spent every night with him that week. The next week he asked me to move in. I told him I didn't want to move in unless we were getting married. He asked if a court house wedding was okay. I thought he was joking, but I said yes, and he asked me when, I said October. The next day he called and set the date. I moved in. He secretary took my mom out to help him pick out an engagement ring. He took me to the beach and gave me a big, beautiful down on one knee wedding proposal because he didn't want me to miss that experience. 🥰 love can be real. Never give up.
I love how people talk about "happily married", you dont know if thats true. Its very easy for people just to act happy. And the fact that he married her after 2 weeks just shows me what an idiot he must have been. No matter how good the chemistry is, you dont marry 2 weeks after knowing someone.you dont know them at that point. He must be a super submissive man. Thats basically what these long lasting "happy" married couples are: a man losing his backbone to the woman. She has full control over him. No wonder she doesnt leave, she benefits too much. I met my wife 12 months after I saw her. I told my friend the day I noticed her that one day I would end up marrying that girl. Never said it before or after that time. 1 year later I was setup on a blind date and guess who marched into the dinner that night? You can’t make this stuff up. 9 days after our first date, I broke down and told her the story, petrified after the words left my lips thinking I had self sabotaged our relationships. 20 years and 2 kids later, we are still together and happy. Speak your truth and take chances, but always be prepared to accept what you ask the universe for.
Shows that love can be cultivated and isnt just some abstract feeling that you have to search for aimlessly in order to be happy in a relationship. Learning to be with someone and care about them is finding the love
Not at a restaurant, but at a church pot luck, my great grandfather saw this woman and said to his friend that he had come to church with, "see that woman, I'm going to marry her." And he did. That was my great grandmother. My dad's father was engaged when he saw my grandmother picking greenbeans in his father's field. He broke off his engagement and found her and asked her if he could court her. They were married till my grandfather died, over 50 years. My father saw my mother at the college class registration and left to go pray and ask God about her, he came back, she was still there and they were together till my father passed in 2015 married 50 years. I was 13 and saw a 14 year old neighbor boy moving into the apartment next door with his family and just knew he would be important. Together for 34 years. Sometimes you just know.
Those were all such beautiful stories of fate and destiny ❤ I'd like to believe that there is such a thing as soulmates and your family must have a good way to sense them! I lucked out and found mine and today marks 9 years together with him and 2 of them married ☺️

To make you feel better i must say i feel you. it's overwhelming rly, the life itself the pressures and all the things that could possibly go wrong. I am tired and at this point i don't even want to think about it. trust me it's easier not to think about it and not have any feelings.

When my hubby and I met in late 1990, I had a boyfriend, later we got engaged. Hubby ended up part of our friend group, I did not always see hubby, but he was really nice when he was around. A year later, Finace and I broke up (He cheated). I told hubby don't be a stranger because he was a really nice guy. We went to shoot pool and just hang out on July 3rd, 1992. Neither of us was looking for anything more than a friend. We started hanging out more and more. 4 weeks later, we knew we wanted to get married. September 6th, we ran off to Vegas and got married. 32 years later, we are still very happy together.
I love this story ❤ I’m in the process of a divorce, but your story gives me hope that my soon to be ex was just my version of your ex and my “hubby” will find me soon ❤
@@Terahydron we do! It can be lonely though… I’ve been separated from my ex for over a year and talked to a couple of guys, but haven’t actually dated them because I realized I’d rather be alone than make time for them. So my other single friend and I hang out a lot and we’re both happier than being in bad relationships just to have a guy around. ♥️
@@Terahydron that twit of a man was engaged to her and didn’t stay alone, needed to go with another 😂 Good for her that he had that friend. Even tools can be helpful at the times 😂
Are women really this delusional? He was obviously into you before, he was just waiting until you were single to make a move. Did he even have a girlfriend between the time you first met him and when you started dating?
There is such a thing as perfectly imperfect, that’s how life and love is, you have to find the gratitude everyday and the love will endure despite the imperfections. 33 years strong, we both knew from the second we laid eyes on each other and I heard a voice from within tell me “That’s him”, he proposed in less than two weeks.
I did this and it ruined my life. Unfortunately I didn’t know there were predators that can pretend to be someone else (you - they mirror you) until they trap you. It’s something I tell my daughter all the time, please please PLEASE do not marry someone you JUST MET because it’s romantic or you want a love story. You need to get to know someone and that takes at least 2-3 years. You can’t just meet their friends and family once or twice, you have to be around them, for long periods of time. Marrying this guy was the biggest mistake of my life and I did it because I was desperate for a romantic story and a happy ending. It’s something I can’t get out of due to crippling chronic illness caused by this psycho and it’s going to take me years. This person preyed on the fact I was sweet, loving, naive and wanted a love story. PLEASE DONT WISH FOR THIS ITS THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.
It’s also important to live together first too. I’ve seen so many relationships that seemed fine then they lived together and couldn’t stand it. So marrying without first living together is also a mistake imo.
I’m so sorry, you deserved your happy ending. I can’t tell you being the same as you, they can’t see you a mile away, it’s like we carry a neon sign above our heads, predators can’t spot us.
Never tell a yone u will never divorce them and want to spend the rest of ur life with them, bcos then they think u will stay no matter what they do to u... I made that mistake. U always have to say I have boundaries and a line that if anyone oversteps I will walk away. U need to actively love urself and show it to others so that they know how much u cafe for urself and how well h treat urself and follow suit. Otherwise if u constantly neglect urself they'll jump on that
My hubby and my friend’s parents knew each other 3 days before getting married and have been HAPPILY married for over fifty years. I emphasized “happily” because some people might think that they stayed together out of obligation or need or something, but they are one of the happiest couples I know, and it shows in every aspect of their lives ❤
He was feeling love at first sight, but then, when faced with the reality of his entire life needing to change completely, got cold feet, paused (and usually life leaves while you pause), but then went with the wonderful "real life" that was his destined path. She on the other hand looked at the reality of her life, weighed the two options before her, and chose her destined path, taking time to ensure her co-worker continued caring for her other customers. In reality we are faced with such a bold choice every moment of every day, "continue being the life I've led to now, or change to a completely different life entirely?"
My kid’s father and I seen each other and both told the people we were with that we’d marry that man/woman…… after 11yrs of abuse, I left with our kids . He was lying cheating & all types of things…. Please be careful when jumping into relationships with someone even when you think their your soulmate!
I was visiting a friend of mine and my friend’s parents saw me see this girl I had never seen, talked or knew before for about 8 seconds and when she left, they both told me I was going to marry that girl, (they did know her and I was later introduced to her) and 6 months later we got married, been married for 30 years and have 3 beautiful daughters. I don’t know what they saw at that moment but they were right.
I like fairy tales they give me hope. I have been a live 39 years and have been in zero relationships, either emotional or physical, but this makes me happy😢
@plcleader no joke. I went to visit some family in Mexico without knowing I had already a couple of girls asking family about me because I have citizenship, which I would never date anyone for that reason it just feel fake to me to date someone and the girls are beautiful still it just feels fake not real
This is something impossible nowadays, to fall inlove with a person from the first second... and just to let it flow no matter what comes in your way.. beautiful
I remember thinking love wasn’t real. I wasn’t going to be with anyone no matter how much I just wanted a best friend, a best friend who could be there for me, and who I could be there for. We dated 3 and a half years before she broke up with me to date other guys. That first year felt magical, the second was serious, the 3rd was depressing. Then I met someone else. We dated a short while. Not even a year. I realized I was using her to get over the other ex. I still treated her tho as if there was no other bc I got along with her so well. I tried supporting her through her mental struggles but she turned on me and I had to leave. I talked to her after 3 years and she’s doing much better. It made me so happy to know she was safe and sound. Her mind cleared, your priorities set straight, her deciding to be with a best friend of hers, her family finally accepting her, just everything Turing around for her. She listened to my advice and it got better. I wish romance worked like this. How nice it would be to just meet a stranger, make friends, explore the world, and just experience life together. I decided tho dating isn’t for me even though it was a wonderful experience. I say all this to say, don’t rush into things, as those things will fallow. Take care everyone.
I met my wife in our grooming salon we are currently still at. Didn’t take long before we started going out. Love her more than ever. There’s always going to be bumps in the road. The one thing in the universe that’s is true with a doubt, love has no bounds.
Not all of these type of relationships end like that. My neighbors got married after 2 weeks of meeting each other. They're an old happily married couple now.
Kinda BS because nobody here did anything to mace someone for... did you maybe make it up, or was your version of "Marry me" grabbing her from behind...?
This kinda happened to me... met my husband at a restaurant i used to work at as a waitress he came in with friends ... he left his phone number in the receipt and 12 years later we are married and have a beautiful kid.
I left my number many times, and I asked for and got numbers many times, and while I didn't find the angel that could decide to marry me, I id find hundreds of wonderful women who needed some combination of a friend, a bit of love, a little hand up, or even the courage to walk away from a bad place they felt stuck in. We don't always find a wife when offering a kindness to a waitress, but we can do an awful lot of "lightening one's burden" by simply being there and saying "I am here for you, wherever it may end up going."
he described her life with him and that's very attractive to me I'd say yes too, knowing what you're going into is always a yes for me, that's of course If I like the outcome

Thank you so much 🙏 😊
I met my wife 12 months after I saw her.

Yes, that's how arranged marriages r supposed to work..
Heck, arranged marriages have shown that for thousands of years.

2000s Rom-coms remind of a simpler time.
I miss those times
I love this story ❤

Perfection means to be eternal. Even Jesus wasn’t eternal, he was mortal and had a benginning and will have an end.
There is such a thing as perfectly imperfect, that’s how life and love is, you have to find the gratitude everyday and the love will endure despite the imperfections.

This is how love begins.
Otherwise if u constantly neglect urself they'll jump on that
Happend to me too 😢 By the time I realised he is a deceptive predator like that, he has already wasted three years of my life. 😔
So because you had a bad experience every case of this is bad and for taking advantage of people
The scream was pure joy 🥹
Will you marry me?💍
My hubby and my friend’s parents knew each other 3 days before getting married and have been HAPPILY married for over fifty years. I emphasized “happily” because some people might think that they stayed together out of obligation or need or something, but they are one of the happiest couples I know, and it shows in every aspect of their lives ❤
Why did he look so stunned when she accepted!? 🤣😂🤣😂 🤣😂🤣😂 He asked & then got so stressed. Dude across the table was literally 🫨
Because it was a one in a million chance of saying yes lol
I thought he was about to say it was a joke, yikes lady
I think he wanted to impress people with his courage, and never expected her to accept.
Will you marry me?💍
