We will watch on later after a hot Sunday so relaxing with Farmer Phil and liv and father and Bro 😎 we just love Ireland and channel.farmer Phil and family are our favourite farmers in the world 🌍 GodBless and peace and Good luck 😉
reversing fan for the radiators, contractor near here had the same issues with overheating with a front mounted mower and got one fitted. I believe its the same set up used in loaders and diggers that are not moving forward fast enough to keep the rads clear. after a certain time or temp the fans will blown the dust away from the rads rather then suck it in. might be an idea for next year.
Awesome video. I've never seen a 'whoke crop' cut with mowers. That was very cool. Gonna have to make way for those mowers to have a home on the farm now.
brilliant video as always very interesting 👍. we have two questions Phil. Question one, when is your digger coming home so you can use it on your pit. question two, when is/was the big day Phil, when are/did you and liv tie the knot 🪢 🤔
Fantastic video Phil!!! Best wholecop one I’ve seen in a while!!! It was cool when they behind you when mowing the grass!! Pity no more drone footage though 😢 also a chat with them at the pit would have been nice…..IF it was available!!!
Great video Phil I cut a 40 acre field of spring barley few years back could only cut it one way absolute torcher and a bloody 30 ft head didn’t make it any easier the krone some machine
Great Video, Goes to show not everything is as simple as is made out to be. That krone was moving sime, I know it was only Wholecrop but didn't seem to slow down any at the silage either. Nicce change.Keep up the good work and you came prepaired with knives and some homework and knwledge ragarding getting most of the grain possible.
Wowo, hold the horses, have you and Liv gotten married, 👰♀️🤵 no pictures of the family all suited and booted and Liv in her lovely dress? Hope there to come all the best to you both 😁
Evening Philip It’s very interesting to listen to you, talk about how you cut the crop. Certainly it has come from Father Phil and Mother Phil. Attention to detail is the order of the day on your farm and how you do your contracting business. Are « toutes nos félicitations « the order of the day For Liv and your good self ?
Great video - the local contractor here has a Krone 780 and I have never seen anything that can lift grass like it - I know other people will have their own opinion but it is a serious machine . . . . a "weapon of grass destruction"
i've never seen whole crop harvested before. back when i left farming, and cornwall, it wasn't really a thing but always made sense to me. now i'm in the u.s. and keep on thinking the farmer over the hedge from the garden is going to do that, but no, it's always a little rye and a LOT of weeds. they move at one speed, very slow, only ever rip, rip the same way every year, put in sweet corn to sell every year, of which 1/3 is lost to passing storms. last year one of the storms was an actual hurricane. every year the kid driving is less inclined to do a good job so every year the headlands get a little wider and crop a little smaller. the fastest moving tractor on the farm is a 1940s, i think, single cylinder and is used to top dress maize. he does a little wheely at the start of almost every pass. i think it is a john deere model d. sorry, 8260cc, 34hp, 2 cylinder, any fuel, 3 speed, (model d).
would a straight disc mower have been a better option? looks like ye were caught for time but surely between the farmer, the contractors and yourselves ye could have got hold of a couple of them? we do barley silage under sown with grass and cut and bale at the cheesy stage, same issue with using a mower conditioner so always use the simple disc mower and dont lose anything on the grain. have had to rake it in over the last few years as contractors machines are too big for a 2.5m cut, but it doesn't lose any grains. any that are lost are from the bale chopper. we let the cattle in to clean off anything afterwards anyway.
Never seen mowing whole crop like to see what's left on the floor after. Sounds a very bad idea especially this time of year all cheshire done by end of june
I'm sure because the crop was lodged (fallen down), The harvestor would loose more grain than it been pre cut, or perhaps that contravtor dod not have the appropriate heddder. Nobody dows anythjing baecause it is a bad idea, i'm sure it was the better of of what was available. Remember the farmer had to pay directly or inderectlly for two contractors. Not a decision to be taken likely unless there was a GOOD reason. My 2p worth
Hate to be a killjoy but wouldnt it be safer to work on conditioners with engine stopped, these modern tractor PTO's are usually electrically engaged and as we all know electics can go wrong
phil ye would be far cheaper to buy a new mudguard because its broke 4 times yes 4 times either that or take the other one of and forget about it lol🤣🤣🤣
Liked how Phil struggles not to laugh when he says when it goes down you cant get it back up wonder what he was thinking about 😉😂
Great day's work Phil. 👍
Jaysus you won't be able to let those butterfly mowers go,they are a serious job in all fairness.

Just a an idea on your overheating/blocking radiator issue.. can you get a reversing fan for those MF6499?
What is a field that had wholecrop like to plough compared to a field that had only barley? Blazing video!!!
Well done Phil that was awkward mowing
Could of gave ya loan of a single chop NC harvester cut whole crop with it a few times twas a mighty job haha great video as always phil 👍
Good man phil, that thing can mow👍great machine, great video 👌
Mighty video as always
Like the new Holland
Interesting video, did the crop go through a mill on the harvester? If not, would the Grain have been too hard for cattle to digest?
Great video Phil 👌

Lovely video. Big sward of silage. Does the Krone have a mill or is it needed ?
Hi Phil back along you mention about some bacteria fertiliser you used. Could you do a review of that? It’s a interesting concept.
great video
Great videos lately Phil fair play to you.
Another great video Phil 😁
Phil in canada they cut it down like that and have a belt pick up on the combine be worth looking into

Great video Phil, what happened to the front left mudgard
Did ye ever consider teaming up full time with another contractor? Would you have been able to do it without the tripples?
Good vid Phil
How's things Phil whys do you need a wide sword any good tractor man can work with anything
Hate to be a killjoy but wouldnt it be safer to work on conditioners with engine stopped, these modern tractor PTO's are usually electrically engaged and as we all know electics can go wrong
Your right although most of us have probably done the same, easy to get complacent.
Not all of us have had a helicopter land on their lawn to do a video on health and safety though
Hi Phil how many masseys do you have in the fleet now ? Hope all is well
Nice
Wedding present?? What have we missed
Did u have a chat with d contractors about how d mowing went with wholecrop?
Can I ask with less fert used this year I haven’t seen many lodged tillage crops what happened that one to make it lodge
to much slurry or it could be fresh ground or not enough regulator applied to it earlier on
Bloody urea it made combining some a nightmare
Too much slurry
Good uidio
I often wondered why you don't do whole crop that way all the time
Very busy
phil ye would be far cheaper to buy a new mudguard because its broke 4 times yes 4 times either that or take the other one of and forget about it lol🤣🤣🤣
who is the contractor nice gear
Do you own the mowers or on demo
What happened to the mudguard Phil
Auto steer a great job
Hope Phil wasn't lead a stray looking at those New Hollands carting in the field
Whos was the other contractor?
Hi Phil
👍
Well
Why did "some outfit" not use there own mowers
😎😎😎😎🚜🚜🚜👍
oi oi
Never seen anyone mow whole crop first first or leave it to get so rip. Must be just the Irish way.
Might be the irish weather
bit of a piss take when they use other contracrors
It comment enough to do subcontract work.
Can't turn down the work like
