As a Florida man I approve of everything in this video. I am making myself actually a Everglades in Minecraft myself except I’m using naturalist and Vanillanimals (or Vanillmobs if I remember) as the gators and crocodiles as I don’t have Java so those are good alternatives.

I’m here specifically talking about the Windward and Leeward islands such as Grenada, Saint Vincent, the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Antigua, Saint Kitts and Nevis Etc. This is a region rich with plenty interesting dynamics. They’re hot, tropical jungle islands giving the opportunity for hot weather mechanics. It’s also a region of volcanic activity and hurricanes, making those possible events as well. There are numerous interesting historical factors such as the strong history of piracy and the indigenous (and allegedly cannibalistic) Carib tribes, alongside the long history of competing British and French colonial rivalry leaving a rich architectural and cultural heritage which could add a lot of interesting flavour. For example, raid mechanics such as in the Norway video could be added to essentially make it possible for you to be a pirate, raiding the British or French colonies. There’s furthermore lots of interesting supernatural creatures associated with the region, such as La Diablesse: the Devil Woman, who will disguise herself as a beautiful maid to lure and kill her victims, the Soucouyant: a sort of vampire which, coming out of their disguise as a man or woman at night, can creep into your house through any open hole, no matter how small, and suck your blood, or the Ligahoo/Ligaroo: a shape-shifting monster which by day appears like a normal man, but at night can transform into various horrific creatures. This could add a very interesting supernatural dynamic, keeping you constantly on edge during the night. Just feel like it would lend itself well to a very complex, multi-faceted game. Sailing, heat, volcanoes, weather, raiding, cannibal tribes and the supernatural, all wrapped into one.
This is a very well thought-out suggestion! I especially love the British/French colony raid idea - the supernatural lore is also really interesting. As I make my way around the world, I will certainly keep this in mind for when I do inevitably cover the Caribbean. Based on this, it might have to be a 200 days or 2 part video as there are just so many islands to cover. Many thanks!
@@SmittieKingMC Thanks! Indeed there are quite a few islands in the eastern Caribbean so it might need a longer time frame. It allows for some really interesting variation though. For instance the Windward Islands are typically more lush and filled with jungles, while the Leewards tend to be slightly more arid and also smaller size-wise. You also get such interesting variations of islands like Grenada (being Grenadian I am not biased in the slightest), Montserrat (about 2/3 of which is under a huge layer of ash from a cataclysmic volcanic eruption back in the 1990s) or Diamond Rock, a tiny island off the coast of Guadeloupe which during the Napoleonic Wars was turned into a huge mountain fortress and officially commissioned into the British Royal Navy as a “stone frigate”. Our of interest, how do you actually create these maps? I imagine they cannot possibly be made by hand considering how huge and detailed they are?

Actually yeah you know I just realized is the newest versions of Minecraft you could play in the main growth swamp which is basically the Everglades just without the weeping willows. But you know I just thought of this though Mojang should totally add crocodiles and or alligators into the mangrove swamp. A matter of fact what might be even better is if they switch the oak trees in the regular swamp with a new tree which would be the weeping willow tree which would have a new leaf block and woodblock family. That combined with maybe crocodiles and or alligators spawning in that version of the swamp would be really cool. Also I will never stop wanting Mojang to not just add fireflies to Minecraft but to give them the same treatment they gave the bees instead of just making them two pixels. It's called you just add a species that you know is not poisonous. Cuz in the newest update Mojang plans on adding a new flower that poison bees but yet they don't want to add fireflies. And don't get me started on the forest slash Birch Forest concept art update which they should not only make into reality but expand and give us more than what they showed. I would love to see you flowers maybe some butterflies and moths. And something I thought of for the swamps they should add some new flowers and other swamp plants and they should add dragonflies. These are just some of my thoughts though. These are probably stupid ideas. If so I'm sorry. 😔😔

The apartment I was living in was destroyed by Milton. The roof was ripped off and the celieings collapsed. As I lived on the bottom floor our whole apartment was flooded and a lot of our stuff was ruined. Thankfully I was able to get into a new apartment right away. Thank you for posting a link to the hurricane relief. There are many like me who were in the direct eye of the storms who lost their homes.

There’s definitely some bit of truth to the skunk ape myth, there’s something here with red eyes! I don’t believe the skunk ape exists, but I have a very vivid memory as a kid seeing glowing red eyes in the tree line one night, staring back at me and blinking. To this day I’ve never seen anything like it, and have no idea what it was.

this is just an idea but maybe do a challenge of like hiking the Appalachian trail mountain range or Rocky Mountains there's a lot of legends in those mountains and a hard climate
hi I'm Robert I'm using my mom's phone with her permission right now. Last I checked there's no Gorillas in the Everglades also how cool would it be if people could start making cool mods like this for the newest versions of Minecraft. And what would be just as cool as if RUclipsrs could then play those versions instead of playing the oldest versions just cuz they have all the good mods. For example I'm pretty sure bombs are plenty has been updated to the newest version of Minecraft but for some reason no one wants to play it. Cuz everyone checked it out when it was first added to the old versions so now no one wants to check it out and make videos of them checking everything in the mod out now.
