Sweet Romeo & New Female A2 - High Alert - Possible Intruder - Dec 22, 2018 - NEFL Bald Eagles

- This footage captures highlights of Romeo' and the new young female A2 day; both adults were on high alert several times today; suggestive of another intrusion into Romeo's territory. The new female appears very protective of Romeo, the eggs and nest; perhaps she has the qualities of a good foster or surrogate Momma! Romeo continues to stay strong and do what he does best; protect his eggs and nest! Still no sign of the resident female Juliet and we all continue to hope for the best for this eagle family.
Many thanks to the AEF and the NEFL team for keeping us connected to this beautiful bald eagle family; we learn so much from observing bald eagles in their natural environment via live eagle cam. Thanks also to the dedicated ground crew for searching for Juliet and to all the volunteers working behind the scenes to keep us updated ... a wonderful team effort by all. All of us watching continue to pray for a positive outcome for Juliet, Romeo and this precious family.

A2 seems so sweet and innocent...now I worry about her! So many eagles comming around that nest...I pray Romeos heart doesn't break ever again.
Deb, just thinking about where that nest is located. I would think being by the river that this would be a high traffic area for all the Eagles migrating from northern areas. It could be that they are thinking as they are flying by "this is a nice nest, we will take it". The weather has been pretty bad up there already. 🦅❤🦅
Unfortunately NE20 hatched and was killed by an eagle. Have you heard on NE21?
Just watching this... know it’s long ago but would like to the out come. Did the mother ever come back or found? Did the eggs hatch? Thanks
