Thanks for the walk and talk. I think you are right. You learn by doing, not just thinking about how to do this or that. Getting my pilots license had a lot of challenges that required just doing, over and over again until it was rote. Something new I want to try is always challenged by fear of failure of the unknown, but thankfully as in aviation and publishing doing can only create success by following generous advice from people like you for example. Appreciate your time.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for joining me on the walk and talk! I'm glad to hear you found the discussion helpful. I agree-learning by doing is a powerful way to master new skills. Your experience with getting your pilot's license is a perfect example of this principle in action. Repetition and practice can turn challenging tasks into second nature. The fear of failure is hard to overcome, but as you mentioned, by following the steps of someone who has achieved what we want to do (whether it's getting a pilot's license or succeeding in publishing), we can realize that there are usually certain steps (and mindset) that can be replicated. Thanks again for your comment, feel free to keep them coming. Wishing you the best of luck with publishing!
@@CTMitchell Thanks for the feedback! I see you have a channel too. Can you let me know which parts were unclear or how I can be more specific? I'm always looking to improve. Thanks!
Thank you for pointing me in the direction to this video.. With the fire bullets option, would you focus on medium content, or still focus on high content publishing on a minimum viable budget? Also, would you get the 10k first, or just launch 1 X $1,500 book per month first while learning?
I would be open to doing both at the start depending on the budget. I would be careful not to go too fast at the start if my budget is limited so I can learn. For example, ordering 5 books at the same time doesn't allow for any learning experience in between if that is our max budget. So, in that regard, medium content would be a good way to start since it provides feedback faster.

Really useful concept! And thank you for explaining it so well
Thanks Tim, glad you found it useful!
Thank you, I accept the concept. My question is, in your experience, how much time do you allow before determining if a bullet "hit" its target?
It depends on what the bullet is but for a new book; around 2 months. For a brand, it might be 5-10 books.
thanks you got a new subscriber!
Thank you, happy to hear that!
