When I was younger, much younger than I am today, a colleague of my dad used to moonlight as a rodie at De Montfort Hall here in Leicester, and got me and my brother on the guest list for the Leicester League of this tour. I'd never heard of Magnum, but hands down, this was one of the best shows I've ever been to. We even got to meet Bob and Tony. Been a fan ever since!!
Also, Mick Barker, so underrated. Great drummer.
A fantastically talented band that never got the recognition they rightly deserved. Saw them supporting Blue Oyster Cult in the late 70s in London. Awesome.
Rock Ape you
Yo
Magnum and Blue Öyster Cult...the BEST underrated ever🎧🎧🎵
Enjoy them while you can because there like will never come along again, best band ever
Hey that's me first audience shot clapping my hands off xxx
Having a great time
Bob Catley's flailing arms doing overtime!
You can really tell this band is seasoned playing live. Spot on timing by all, great performance.
Absolutely Beautiful Song Really Enjoy The Extended Version on Wings of Heaven Fantastic Lyrics
Absolutely brilliant.
Love this band..
This line up is the best for me
Carol, your enthusiasm is brilliant, looks like you were having a great time, great band and so underrated
Rather appropriate lyrics for this point in time!
Such a good rock song
I was there / Great Show / In my opinion excellent line up: 🎶🎼🎵🎸😎👊
Fantastic ....
R.I.P Bob Catley
?
great band I used live next door to kez gorin great guy fucking ace drummer
Wow! That’s amazing. I’m a big fan of his playing, tho never got to see him play. His nephews were on the magnum Facebook page recently. Great to see his name and playing being remembered
How the hell are bands like iron maiden still selling out arenas and this band couldn't sell out a local village hall, best British band ever,
Cos Maiden are far better!
@@cd90125Debatable. Personally I’d take Magnum over Maiden any day.
I was there! Nearly Christmas Gig !! Great night...Brill after party too @ Faces, five ways , Brum ! Happy Daze! 😎🤘
Great Show / I was there🎶🎼🎵🎸😎👊
Great.... And already 30 years ago... Odd to think that not just I, but everyone in that concert hall is by now 30 years older: all twens by now 50+, all 30 something then now proud 60 something etc... But good music never dies.... Still get the kicks of so many great artists, who are gone by now: Phil Lynott, his brother in arms Gary Moore, surly but oh so great Gerry Rafferty, the Outfield, ELP (with only Palmer remaining) etc etc. Vita brevis ars longis !!!
good
The song that got me into them, but there only Birmingham gig I missed between Dec 88 and 2008 due to seeing Roger Taylor’s The Cross at the Marquee in London.
The world without magnum is so poor.....
Why R.I.P Bob? Tony has died.
could be awesome with a bit more shredding
Il n'a pas une tête très sympathique le Tony Clarkin 😂
