    Buy a set of tiny battery operated lights to slide inside. Electric would get too hot anyway unless you used a 4 watt bulb.

    I guessed it was from Nancy. I have a beautiful Daum Nancy lamp shade that I bought at auction years ago. I tried to have my lamp guy make an LED light to sit inside it, but he never did it.

      @@traviscoates6878 We used to be antique dealers and you have to learn who specializes in what so you can get things repaired such an antique lighting. So the “go to” lamp guy in San Luis Obispo was Jack Farris-recently retired. All the antique lamps I acquired, I took to him for inspection and/or repair. Great guy!

      I'd be dancing a jig!!! 😁 Yes.. I'm American and Southern!! We LOVE to show our emotions!! When we're happy we smile😀.. sad we frown☹.. very sad we cry😭.. excited we.. well there are several things u might see such as dancing, jumping up and down, yelling YEAH, hell u might even see tears of joy🤣!! When we're angry.. well that's another 1 with varying reactions, and probably best not to test the limits on that 1🤬.
      I never really understood why Brits don't like to show very much emotion in public. Maybe someone can explain this to me? Well y'all take care and God bless!!🙌 😄

      That is why the british roadshow is great. The american show trades in junk and than you have to hear the life stories of all those ghastly, boring fatties wearing t-shirts.

    They politely listen to the evaluators long speech about the history and back story of the piece hearing about dates and periods and other trivia, politely tolerate his attempts to be witty and charming, all the while they're thinking, "blah blah blah whatever lets get to the part where you tell me I can sell this ugly fucking eyesore for 100 grand". Then after the build up they're told "its worth 2 grand" and they politely act happy and surprised while thinking "That's it? I tolerated your bullshit for 2 grand? I'm fucking devastated but I'm on camera so I better act happy, more or less."

    Ok, maybe I missed ( _I scrolled forward to the pricing bit_ ) where she says, that she has two of these...or why is he saying "£2000 for a pair"?
    I mean...if she has only this one, then this is £1000.

    • @oltedders
      @oltedders 3 года назад +2

      Definitely not. A single would be worth only around £600-700. The rarity of a pair increases the value dramatically.
