Isu is pronounced "E-Sue"
Eivore is Odin reincarnated
Tyr is sigurd reincarnated
The reader is Desmond
Basim is loki reincarnated
You can really tell who didn't finish the game haha
When do we find out that they’re reincarnates I thought I just finished the game but I haven’t found this out yet
@@xefirez5697 it's hinted during the final battle with basim making claims about eivore hurting his child and the final secret ending cutscene confirms that they put there DNA in the life tree for later rebirth
Sigured is Tyr reincarnated
@@xefirez5697 complete all the anomalies. It creates a pretty insane cutscene once it’s all finished
And valkas mother is freya reincarnated
"Basim had been hooked to the machine for thousands and thousands of years"
Sure he was... because although we spend most of the game fighting Christian's, we somehow predate christ.
only 1000 yrs
I was thinking the same thing lol.
What does that even
Mean
@@holloway4686 It means that this video was made using a smooth brain
Does basim come back to life on every ending
“Thousands and thousands of years”
Basim has only been there since 877 till 2020. Shows who’s been paying attention
nerd... :D
In Norse Mythology loki was bound and left to suffer , its possible that Baim is just a pigment of his self like what is to eivor and sigurd, so the one that killed the Isu was a thousands of years ago, so its correct or Basim was trapped in the simulation that it felt thousand of years ago, thus an exagerration most people do it.
Lol I was thinking the same thing. It's only been one thousand years and change.
He wants his son fengir, he said that several times. His wife in the staff is the blue giant lady he loved in the game.
No his wife is aletheia the isu
@@jkx3rd Ok, now who is Lokis wife? That blue lady. Loki and Basim are the same person, therefore his wife is the blue lady. Come on dude, pay more attention.
@@justinlittle4534 Loki and Basim aren't the same entirely. Loki lives inside of basim but he isn't basim. That's the same reason why Eivor sees and speaks with Odin
@@justinlittle4534 all of Valhalla is a simulation to help eivor understand the Isu better, the blue lady is Alethia in a form that would make sense to the Norse and their mythology
@@eMillion100 Well yea true I should have been more specific.
This games ending single handedly brought back the franchise for me.
Same with this explanation & how I actually understand it now & now I know what the hell happened. Yeah I can be excited about AC
And if the rumors are real we may play as Basim in the next AC..
@@tolisbou now that would be interesting. But how would that work exactly.
@@cookiemonster1787 I don't know sadly
I have read a blog in which they said the next AC may take place in Syria - Arabia with Basim bringing back some of the old mechanics of the game.
Being more stealthy (assassin) and less fight face to face (fighter). But maybe its all bullshit 😛 they make so much money from this franchise and their DLC's that i don't think they really care about how much "Assassin" you are in the story 😂
@@tolisbou I like the old school stuff. But ok I get it.
I wanted to take note of something, when Basim (Loki) was making the pledge that he will bring his family back he said children. I just remembered in Norse mythology his children referred to not only Fenrir but Jorganmander (World Serpent) and the goddess giant Hel.
Jormungandr should be faravid that try to poison halfdan which is Thor incarnation
As well as Sleipnir, Odin's 8-legged horse.
"But first I want to show this clip..."
*AFK Arena ad plays*
😂
In the next game, who knows. While reviving the Isu (which we suspect will happen listening to Basim's words), even layla and desmond can be revived. their minds are still intact, they can use the phoenix project.
In my opinion Basim is reincarnation of Loki, so are Eivor and Sigurd (Odin and Tyr).
So when Basim talks of his Family he means Fenris and Angrboda(Athletheia).
Cause during the fight Basim always says Eivor will pay for what he has done to his son....
You’re actually right. That’s exactly what it is. Odin and tyr and the other aesir isu transferred their minds into the tree of life to be reborn again in another time (eivor and all the others) basim is one of the few that remembers his isu life clearly, which is why he refers to it so vividly. Possibly because his life as a hidden one and their extensive knowledge of the isu, he was probably able to remember his past life. I dont think basim is a bad character but a morally grey one.
@@tito2471 Yes. But having said that, Basim etc. are all Isu. So the story of Loki, Odin etc. doesn't matter, it's really the story of the Isu, behind the Gods they take on, that's the important factor. So the question is who is Loki's children really? Other Isu, Hybrids, Humans? The Gods/People they reincarnated into, aren't important, the Isu backstory is.
@@LeonardoDaVinciLulz Yeah, I wonder how Loki is going to find his children.. I can't imagine they were allowed to be put into the life tree... I am really looking forward to see the Isu story becoming bigger and bigger.
@@LeonardoDaVinciLulz yeah im also very interested to see where they go. Im happy that the isu story is back to where it used to be. Full of mystery and intrigue.
@@Asha_Cosplay But that isn't Loki, and those aren't his "children" per se. That's an Isu and his children are other Isu I assume.
The fact basim survived is blood boiling like how Micha bell n Dutch betrayed Arthur in Red dead redemption 2
From what I’ve read so far Basim wasn’t the bad guy? Oden was the bad guy.
I was so confused after basims betrayal because he sounded so much loki and i knew they were somehow connected but had no idea how.
Two things hear me out I’ve just finished the game and I’m going....
1 the reader is Desmond
2 basim is in fact Loki
I am greek and "Aletheia" means "Truth" if that helps
It was pretty clear they were reincarnated. Sacrificing something so you can be remembered by the tree, and live on after death. Although I thought Loki was gonna be Sigurd, forgot about basim. And it’s pretty cool how they hinted Loki was basim
Basim is Loki reincarnated through the sage program that he snuck into. Eivor is the sage of Odin and thats why Basim/Loki was trying to kill him for revenge of his son (The whole son thing is explained in the Asgaurd missions)
Now you open new idea and I change my understanding of the game lol. It’s complicated and I love AC there is too much possibility
It really pisses me off how this pronounces Isu. It’s not “eye-sue.” They literally say it in the game and said it multiple times during odyssey.
I might have missed something, but when layla enters the yggdrasil machine and basim/loki escapes, shouldnt svala/freyja be there too?
Did loki manage to kick her out so that her mind went back out to a probably dead body?
She is there, you can see her in the simulation but frozen
It seems that Sigurd didnt knew that Basim being a Isu would make that he would not be in a complete darkness as he says to Eivor, since Valka's mother is a human and do not have a Isu blood, this made her frozen, but Basim not
OK we all know that the reader is Desmond but remember that subject 16 cut scene, where is subject 16 tells Desmond to find Eve and that the key is in her DNA. And more Importantly when Juno says when cross the other side she will be waiting for you. I feel like I’m forgetting some thing or were missing parts of the puzzle here help me out guys.
You're not missing anything. Those are, as of now, just story elements that they discarded.
Crazy theory, but what if time travel somehow becomes a thing (or a simulation through the Gray) and Desmond and Layla become Adam and Eve from the Isu times
The reader is Desmond He died when he actived the eye and his personality and Self where transferred to the simulation and he started to read possible ends of the world and how to save them
It’s a long shot but I think they’re going to go back in time to when Desmond died and he won’t save the world, he’ll survive the catastrophe and he’ll enter the Animus during the apocalypse and explore the memories of the next character, whoever it may be, or it could be the end 🤷🏼♂️
You forgot the hidden seen of Basim and Eivor smiling at each other over the campfire in modern day
Huh?
I’m excited, I just want all of these stories to actually connect, desmond, the cult of the first instrument, Layla and the reader.
Basim wasn't hooked up to that ISU machine for thousands and thousands of years. Eivor hooked him up to it in the 9th century. So that's for around 1200 years or so.
They need to make the modern day stuff more focal in the new games. We aren’t getting enough info in each single game
Literally we barely get any real world info
Loki is basim he has the same voice and he looked almost exactly the same and sigurd is Tyr they both lost there arms and Odin was the cause the great betrayal just like Eivor was the main cause for Sigurd loosing his arm by not stopping his brother u see all the reincarnates as u go and the more they show them selves the more u see them as the same people from the Asgard gameplay from ur visions and Desmond is the reader of course and I’m thinking the Jótun that Loki loved is the woman in the staff because he calls her love and already knew her sum how but I don’t know for sure cuz I don’t know how she would become one with the staff maybe it’s not her but they had to know each other before they all died and the black marks on the neck explains that secret ending you see that black mark on multiple characters necks when ur going thru the game they are probably Isu blood lines that are like Eivor and others and Eivors might be gone cuz it was bitten off by the wolf at the beginning
Basim has not been trapped in the grey for ‘thousands and thousands of years’, he’s been in there a little less then 1200 years
I think the DLC of this game will explain who the isu version and who the viking real-life version of fenrir is, cause in the mythology fenrir was the wolf that was gonna kill odin (and therefor eivor). Now i believe that eivors death and how he came to rest in vinland by being killed by fenrir (maybe a sage or a isu-human hybrid) will happen and thats what basim is searching for, thats why he need eivors memories. He will use eivors memories of his son fenrir to find him in that era, maybe see if he got hooked up to yggdrasil or something else of isu-origin and see what happened to his son. Another dlc might explain how he will get his wife out from the stagf
If you have completed all the Asgard story and missions you would know that eivor is actually a reincarnation of oden and basim is actually a reincarnation of lokie and it gets a lot deeper than that as well but it all starts 2 make sense (idk how 2 spell all the names and shi right but u pick up what I'm putting down)
This is little over half a year old, but I do think that by "family", its clear he means Alethia/Angrboda, Fenrir, Jormungand, and Hel.
5:42 The reader is wearing glasses, he reminds me of Bill Miles or Warren Vidic but neither of them have glasses
Off norse pagan lore that seemed like a reinterpretation of ragnarok and odin denied loki because he brought on ragnarok with his two sons fenrir and jormangander. It also should be noted that in ragnarok thor killed jormangandor but venom dripped from the serpents mouth killing thor and odin was slayed by fenrir as to which he swallows the sun. Loki kills heimdall which is shown in that secret ending
My theory is that the spirit of eivor actually represents fenrir aswell. I couldnt figure out who who it represents but it makes sense, and I know shes not lokis son. But the wolf kissed was responsible for Odin's death. Just like the seers foretold in asgard.
The Reader is for sure Desmond, the reason Layla turn gold, is because her body died. Basim didn't die because, his Isu genes are not as deluted.
The reader is Desmond, basim is loki, he tried to find his children. If not revive the isu
Man, you're a genius! How could I never thought about them becoming Adam and Eve before? I think you might be just right brother. If you remember, subject 16 told Desmond to find Eve, why only Eve? Damn, that got me thinking now...
The only thing that doesnt fit is, How Basim remember his old life as Loki and knows who he is and Eivor doesn't.
You need to play the Asgard Arc of the game and, after that, collect all the memory fragments left scattered around the world by Basim. That will unlock a short video in AC: Valhalla that will give you the answer to that. It's quite similar to AC 2's The Truth.
@@NANA-lt6hd I will not run arouns the map for microtransactions and lose 10hours for 5sec videos. I have seen the videos you are talking about and that doesnt explain how basim is Still loki in mind. How he joined the assassins. Why he manuoulated sigurd and all these
@@ChrisEzio Those are collectibles not micro-transactions. And, as I have said, you need to also play the Asgard Arc of the game as well. And, I mean, to also pay attention to the dialogue in that arc. But for convenience's sake, I would suggest to watch the interaction between Odin and Mimir again. It's explained how it works albeit in a more fantasy-like way since that's the way Eivor's mind could comprehend it all.
Since most of the ancient mythologies are taken as a part of AC Series.....I think the next AC game will less likely be Hindu(Indian) mythology or AC would end with the morden world catastrophe or feudal japan though most likely Ancient Rome would be the choice cuz most of mythologies are from west so it is easy to merge different mythologies.... but as for an Asian mythology it would be more difficult cuz merging mythologies from two different continents is least of the directors concern.... comment if you have any other thoughts....
your adam and eve theory REALLY FUCKED ME UP AT 3AM sorry for the curse words but who with me 😭😭
Um, the Reader is Desmond's mind. He's voiced by Nolan North so.....
If you really want to understand the ending play the asgard arc and finish all anomalies
Loki/basim wants to bring back his son fenrir, and her mother hyrrokin/alethia, eivor is the reincarnated odin and the asgard missions is an abridged and somewhat tweaked version of the myths surrounding ragnarök or the norse apocalypse (oh also svala is freya reincarnated and sigurd tyr obviously)
"You can also bet it's going to be one hell of a story"... assuming that they won't end it in a crappy comic again *cough*
What comic re you talking about?
@@marlonprando7294 If I remember correctly it was called Assassin's Creed: Uprising. They had started back in AC: Unity the whole Phoenix Project thing which had the secret goal of reviving Juno only for them to end it in that comic. So people that got to play only the games were left extremely confused in what the hell happened with Juno since Origins never bothered to mention anything about it at all.
Didn't know that, thanks
This is my first Assassin's Creed game and I just finished this story arc this morning. I have to admit, I'm completely lost.
I think Basim is Loki. When Loki went into his machine I think the baby his memories wouldn't too was Basim
Yh its obvious... Loki is Basim and Odin is Eivor. Will be cool to see who his children are
Him: Sig-Ard
Everyone else: Sig-Urd
It really sucks that Layla's story is over .I liked her. They have simply exchanged a female character for a male one which I don't like.
@Mr. Anonymous I mean we have been following for her many years, 3 in fact.
Basim is Loki .. Eivor is Odin .. Maybe he means the Isu… Maybe he means the wolf
loki wasn't allowed to reborn because first he hid from odin and the other isu that he has a child with the isu from jotunheim the fight against. also he opened the gate in Asgard so he could bring his child in from jotunheim. which cause their enemy's to invade asgard that lead to there defense weakened. also it's for told that loki's child a wolf named fenrir would be cause odin's demises. so odi(havi) ties the fenrir whom has grown massively with an unbreakable chain that tightness which most likely won't let you move much. loki want's revenge for everything that odin has done to his child. as you know from the story odin had 2 fight fenrir. also if you have done the animuse world event you can hear loki talk to Aletheia about that he had killed odin's son. which made odin hate loki even more. not sure if odin knows it was loki who killed his son,
3:27 its not thousands and thousands of years Basim being stuck with the first civilization machine. The story takes place in 7th century so if the present day takes place in 21st century its basically 1400 yrs, roughly.
Basim doesn't wanna bring back Loki he is Loki lol
Also Basim is loki or at least a reincarnation of him in the same way that Eivor is a building and the family that he's talking about is Fenrir. I'll see he has a wolf Moon shirt which implies this and he has the same voice actor as Loki
You can tell by the poor character model of Rebecca and the modern day characters, they clearly stopped caring
Eivore 847 :
Forging "The Way of freedom"
Altair 1165 - 1257 :
Set us "Creed" free for everyone
Ezio 1459 - 1524 :
- Built the "Brotherhood"
- Strip all assassin's equipment and leaving them behind and live with own freedom life like Eivore
Well, the legendary Assassin's that huge Influence finally found not In Greek but in Barbaric people who known as the Vikings...
Basim is Lokie - Lokie is Basim 🤯. That’s why he wants Eivor and not Sigurd for death of his children and family.
The Reader is Desmond 👍🏻
Fascinating
Thanks man
Why do I feel like basim is going to kill repaca and shan to bring back his wife
Shows how much you actually played the game. All the “I think” and “I don’t know” you said was all explained in the game. Lol
Why are people saying Rebecca looks weird… have you seen Shaun and William Miles????
Loki and Basim share the same face just different hair. Even voice actor is the same. Tyr and sigurd have same face as does Eivor and Odin.
That's why Basim (Loki) wanted to kill Eivor (Odin) because of Fenrir (Loki's son).
Layla n Desmond are literally Adam n eve first 2 to escape n the first 2 to save the world
i believe in the next game he will find his "children", plunge the world into chaos using the assasins, and the protagonist will be a templar
Needed to look at this before starting up AC Mirage😂
Whatever happens we can be sure that its gonna be incredibly drawn out.
Hey bro, I think Loki reincarnated into basim. When you kill or hurt Loki’s son (the wolf) he swears to have revenge on Havi (Eivor) in the missions in Asgard
Valhalla made me really confused. I really despise Basin, and now what we are to see basin = Loki in Bagdad? Makes zero Sense. Not to mention that there is no guide in the right direction to the story, and now I have basim doing anomalies. I can't like him since he is Loki and my hero is Eivör, that's who we are connected with. Really confused.
His family, does he also mean Fennir? Funny the Lucca (shape shifting beings) remind me of Fennir at least it's voice and similar nature. So by being less isu/frost giant he lost his seider/shape shifting abilities? Plus Juno looks more human than a frost giant but why can't Eivor reincarnation of Odin can't even hold the apple of Eden? That's the only confusion (s) and questions I have.
so maybe someone could answer this. The only living during modern day now is loki? right?
Aren’t there 2 Loki’s basim and some modern day person we don’t know about
He’s the reincarnation of Loki. So still Basim, but also Loki, with Loki’s memories
So leyla can't be in the machine for more than a couple of hours without destroying her real body, but sneaky Basim has been hooked up to the machine for hundreds of years and still return to his body.
Because of the staff of Hermes. That restored Basim's body.
Is Basim the acual Loki ? Or he is just a person being controlled by loki’s thoughts/memories ?
He's a genetic copy not the acutal Loki
wait, in ac Mirage we are basim in modern day and inside the animus we are basim in the ancient world, so basim re-live his own life with animus? why?
I finished Mirage a few days ago. I’m still confused. Is Basim a good guy? Or the villain?
They could’ve done a better job with the story. I was confused the entire time. Fun game though
Tq for the review and this video. I hate all these weird izu storylines. Really give out a weird vibe. I wished the game is just assassins game
I agree.
I have played all the add ons and now just keeps on roaming the maps. Do we actually get to see what happened in Vinland with Eivor or that’s the end?
Just came here after beating Mirage
Eivor Is Odin Reincarnated & Basil Is Loki Reincarnated
Yes i also thought them as adam and eve
Desmond and layla
No no no in basim's fight he talks about how we killed his son meaning basim is talking about fenrier basim is Loki they sound very similar if you listen to their voices
Ok so can someone explain something to me is basim evil overall or is he just misunderstood cause im confused with how he went from good in mirage to bad in valhalla (and wasnt the only reason that he did this was so he could find proof of his family being alive)
Ngl tho im getting mad scorpion vibes 😂
So people really care about the game if they watch the ending or if they have finished it yet 😐
Aletheia is probably the most evil character in the ac franchise
Basim is quite blatantly loki
Basim is Loki I know it
that makes sense i understand it now
Why did she not exit and re-entered the simulation to get the staff?
This perfectly mirrors the Asguard story line with Havi. History repeating in the new generation. Valhalla the same and now the same is happening to earth and that gene pool
Basim is Loki dude
1st, the Aelfred mission was a bad idea. Should have had the option to kill him. 2nd Basim body should be rotted after hundreds or a couple thousand years. 3rd this whole ending is just like the game, long, boring and underwhelming. 4th, Laylas friends were right there and saw who Basim was so why just leave him alone at the house while they leave? How utterly stupid.
Eivor couldn't have killed Alfred because of the way it actually played out in history. The norse didn't win over the saxons, and Aelfred went on to become Alfred the Great
@@TameUrDemons I understand but the mission was just a dissapointment. With Aelfred talking about the influence they had in his lands, they should have made a close advisor, a mentor or even someone from the church, someone, anyone to be the head of the order. Even a childhood friend. Then Eivor could have the mission to kill them. That would then "free" Aelfred and the land from the order enabling Aelfred to go down the path as he is remembered in history, a good king.
"Basims body should be rotted after hundreds or a couple thousand years" dude his body was hooked to a isu machine the thing could've been preserving his body this whole time especially since a lot of this has already been foreseen
@@Ryan-zr4fj Ohhhhh, my bad. Didnt know it had preservatives in the machine.
Whoever's doing the voiceover is not familiar with the game lore (he keeps saying "eye sue" instead of Isu). His flat reading tells me he's not an experienced voice actor either. So he's some guy reading the script that someone else wrote. What's going on here?
So nobody’s put together that Basim is Loki ay?
Isn’t Loki basim?
I like the new crew. Being constantly pulled out in Odyssey because of Layla's vital signs was annoying as fuck all.
the reader is Desmond
How did basim though came physically to the real world ? Transferred some how? And what about laylas body
Nooo!!! It is totally wrong.... Basim is Loki ! Man.. the son, tshirt, dialogues... they use the tree to reincarnate eternal and to awake at one point. The main character is Odin, his brother ( without 1 arm you can guess ) and the shaman mothers that you encounter in the Valhalla simulation guess who she looks like!... did not figured out who Thor is yet...
Evior is Odin and basim is loki his dead son is fenrir
Bro i have a question, i finish this game but i need to the hidden truth tropy, can i get this tropy after finishing this game ?
What makes this game strange are:
1. the templar has a very minor role in the game.
2. Unlike previous installment, This series is not about assasins vs templars.
3. The game concept is about a nordic isu who wants to live again after the 3rd catastrophy and reincarnated into sage (human isu hybird) and wants finish a business thats left behind before the incarnation: Loki's revenge (Basim) vs Odin (Eivor).
4. This series breaks the tradition of Assassin's Creed series with the minimum involvement of templar as the bad guy.
5. In this game, for the second time in the series, the assassin's is the antagonist, and its proven that the Assassin's is not always the good fraction.
6. Basim future role in the future after he lives again, is ambiguous, he could be the main antagonist in the future series. Because his conspiracy with Athelia could led to another catastrophy in the future.
this game focuses more on isu lore rather than the conflict between assassin and templars tho there are a good amount of scenes which also show us the conflict between them happening , the thing is many people think that the templars have a minor role because of how much alliance missions are there in the story.
