The arcs you do through Valka will explain ALOT. Eivor as a boy was attacked by a wolf, who I think is Fenrir or somehow correlates with him. That's why during your fight with him he asks to see your neck and laughs at your scar.

    • @andrewmeyer3599

Not sure about the wolf but the Ravens definitely signify Eivor's connection to the Crow-Father himself, and the scar hid a mark that shows you are a reborn Isu, Basim pretty much laughs because he realizes that he should've also been paying attention to you like he did Sigurd

Yeah. It’s kinda clear thanks to the asgard quest. The three women represented the “Future” calculations, before The Reader took over. It calculated that “Odin” would be killed by Loki’s son during the collapse, then the plot of asgard takes place where Isu Odin looks for a way to save his life while the ISu are suffering a war against the humans rebellions. Valka’s potions were just magical animus-

Basim is the genetic reincarnation of the Isu Loki, he appeared 'mad' to Eivor (Odin) and Sigurd (Tyr) because he had come to realise this and attacked Eivor i.e. Odin in rage for his son/family but also frustration because neither Eivor nor Sigurd realised who they once were.
In myth, Loki's children are depicted as 'monsters' or 'beasts', I don't think they're going to be Isu. I have a feeling they'll be more like machines or something we haven't yet seen.

  • @rorymannmusic
    @rorymannmusic 4 года назад +3

Good effort but there's so many things wrong with this.
In order to understand the Eivor/Sigurd/Basim connections you have to relate it back to when we've seen Sages in the past, aka reincarnations of Aita. The same thing is going on here; there's just a lot more 'Sages' of different Isu than we thought (specifically the eight plus Loki that we see in the hidden truth cutscene). If you played the Asgard/Jotenheim arcs, you would not only understand that Eivor, Sigurd and Basim are reincarnations (Sages) of Odin, Tyr and Loki respectively, you would also understand the motive behind Loki's desired revenge against Odin; Odin killed Loki and Alethia/Angrboda's son; Fenrir (represented in the dream world as a giant wolf. The true Isu nature of Fenrir is unknown). We also know Loki and Alethia had other children. THIS is what he means when he says he wants to bring his family back together in the modern day; not the Isu as a whole (also Juno's dead thanks to the Phoenix Project, that plot was dropped in 2018). You'd also understand Loki and Alethia's relationship if you listened to the dialogue during the anomalies.
And in regards to the Reader; I don't understand how you missed that the Reader is obviously Desmond; he has the same voice and references it in the dialogue. This isn't ambiguous; it's all but confirmed. You'll notice that the resemblance to Adam and Eve also resolves the plotline introduced in the Truth segment of AC Brotherhood.
Also Basim hasn't been trapped in the gray for 'thousands and thousands of years'; more like just over a thousand. Eivor was around in the late 800s, we're now in 2020.

My theory: is that Eivor might actually be Odin, this will explain a lot of things. First of all Isu don’t have power to communicate through mind (as Odin does to Eivor), second is that when Basim says “Look down to the deepest of your memories” Eivor in the final fight “MY SON” is the reflection of how Odin and Mad one betrayed the son of Loki “The giant wolf” in the quest Bound to fate, Binding to Fate, Cheating fate. And also... in those quests when Eivor drinks potions he can see through aprons memories, but, as we learn later, ( by collecting the pieces of anomalies) that these visions are nothing but a poor reflection of actual memories, it’s that the Odins memories were inside of Eivor head all along. I’m tired of typing but so you know that these are not that half of the points to my theory. If you are interested message me on discord Shesse#7811

He will use eivors memories of his son fenrir to find him in that era, maybe see if he got hooked up to yggdrasil or something else of isu-origin and see what happened to his son. Good overview. Would be nice to have a deeper breakdown. I’m familiar with the ending but I wanted to see someone else’s take on it considering not a lot of people have finished the game and some haven’t bought it yet.
I think Basim (Loki) will attempt to bring his children back into the modern day so I feel like some modern day missions are going to come back. Much like Desmond fighting some Abstergo men. Speaking of Abstergo, I feel like they will make their return into the next game. It’s really hard to see where this will go because Loki will always be tied to Odin story wise, unless Minerva (Gunlodr) takes his place
My only worry for the franchise now is setting. The only obvious location is China/Japan but for some reason I really don’t want them to go there. I feel like I’ve seen enough of that setting. They’ve done a lot of good places, and going back into Greece or Italy would be just repeating itself.
I think they’ve started the beginning of the end of the franchise. And I hope they have. Another one or two good story games and they can finish the series with justice

This is my first Assassin's Creed game and I just finished this story arc this morning. I have to admit, I'm completely lost.

Ubisoft still has to explain how Eivor ended up being buried in Vinland (North America) after all the events that occurred. Obviously they lived their life before dying in NA for a chunk of time.

Basim attacks you because you killed his son?

Basim is Loki, you are Odin and the brother is tyr. In the story you see what Odin does to Loki’s kid, won’t spoil it for you.

Eivor is the reincarnation of odin, valkas mum was the reincarnation of Freyja and sigurd is the reincarnation of tyr I havent worked out who thor is but yeh. I can safely assume that the reason basim, the reincarnation of loki will get his children back through the abstergo phoenix project, thats why he wants to go to Abstergo and take over the assasins. This is what I have come up with.

@@marlonprando7294 If I remember correctly it was called Assassin's Creed: Uprising. They had started back in AC: Unity the whole Phoenix Project thing which had the secret goal of reviving Juno only for them to end it in that comic. So people that got to play only the games were left extremely confused in what the hell happened with Juno since Origins never bothered to mention anything about it at all.
