i was reading my textbook and i found that i had a lot of trouble understanding this theory. you explained it very well and kept the video short, so thank you!!!!
I'm in a human Lifespan Development class for my psych degree, and this theory is so jars for me to grasp. I wanted to challenge myself to use it in the paper that I have due soon, but couldn't. THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME MAKE SENSE OF IT!!!
I'm 42 and just retired from the military and trying figure out what I'm going to do next. First career was never really what I wanted to do. Now majoring in psychology, which is why I am here, and not sure it is for me just yet. I have always been interested in construction engineering. Having just watched your video it seems I could have done a little more exploration. Might give it a couple more classes but I'm thinking I may need to change my major. I'm living this theory and in the MAMA stage. Thanks for some good insight and a great video!
Cali Valley hey MAMA stage is better than the others. I’m in M now but as a 17 year old. It’s kind of scary but I know I will be looking at different things until it fits. Hopefully I find a nice girl tho lmao
I have been given a Research on ideelntity development and it has been a very big problem for to clearly put to came out with all that is required of me
I'm an online student and I just discovered your videos while working on an assignment. I wish I had you as a teacher! This was a FANTASTIC explanation of something my textbook explains poorly and briefly. Thank you for making this video and making it public.
“Let's keep it simple” (puts low above high), I'm sure glad I keep going through my moratoriums to achievements in math, this would break my brain ;) Thanks for a nice clear overview! (sorry for teasing)
@@kleatonwtcc Actually I'm working on this in a literary research, I am using this theory to explain the psychological aspects of Huck - the main character in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn written by Mark Twain. Thank you so much, teacher! Love from Vietnam!
My friends dad was is a surgeon. Around his 45-ish age mark he joined the army, got shipped off to Afghanistan and his family was like WTF. I believe now after this video he went through moratorium, achieved identity , then had that questioning period again and is now home but with some crazy life experiences.
Amazingly clear and relatable--and thank you SO MUCH for captioning your content instead of using the auto captions! I teach DHH students and this is going to be so useful.
Thank you so much! Was having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around the differences of the stages, but this cleared it right up! You explained it really well and the chart is such a clever idea! Definitely will help with my revision!
This was super helpful in explaining this concept! Thank you so much!! I emailed the attachment to other students in my college class to help them too!
Thank you so much! I was really struggling with the difference between Foreclosure and achievement but thanks to you, I've got it drilled into my brain
Wow. This explaination was needed and amazing! & I'm not even studying this, I just got curious. I'm still searching though! Pray for me y'all (trying new things👍🏾)
Mam you are really great in explaining this theory tq so much for making a video on this . It really helped me a lot for my examination.God bless u , keep going
Cool. I watched this for my Human Development Across the Lifespan class. I'm in my 30s and retraining to be a teacher. Not from not knowing what I want, but more from not being able to afford it until now.
Okay, but moratorium is expensive. Moratorium seems like something only the affluent get to experience. What student in high school and college can actually afford to flirt with different career options or go through college and take a few classes just try something out?

Love how you used underwater basket-weaving as a go-to example for a career! ha-ha-ha... great video thanks for the help! :)
This is amazing. The textbook example was sort of clear, but felt lacking and you've explained it so well. THANK YOU!
I use "underwater basket weaving" as an example all the time!!! Great video. I'm going to share this with my classes! Thank you!
“Let's keep it simple” (puts low above high), I'm sure glad I keep going through my moratoriums to achievements in math, this would break my brain ;) Thanks for a nice clear overview! (sorry for teasing)
are you writing backwards?!!? wow
Hah! No I am not nearly that clever. I'm writing on a "Lightboard" and they use software to flip the image after recording the video :)
Ohh. Haha. Great video, even so. Easy to understand.
@@kleatonwtcc That's fantastic, professor! Thank you so much for your comprehensive lecture.
