Sure the Canucks may want to trade Miller, EP or another 12 players on their team, but Seravalli and Friedman don't know any more than average fan. The Canucks management aren't telling the media their trading plans. Reporters are paid entertainers who may or may not be honest or factual in what they say or write.

All I can see now is there was a small rumor of a rift between the 2 superstars and it now burns like a super wild forest fire. Now I am more of believer that some team wants to get a player so they started spreading rumor on the opponent team's media so they can lower the cost of the trade.
As a Pettersson fan I think the Canucks are better off trading Pettersson rather than Miller. I think if you are thinking playoffs we are better playoff team with Miller over Petey. Another selling point for me is Pettersson can’t jell with any of the wingers. We are constantly rotating guys to try to make it work. If we trade Miller I think we should just trade Boeser as well at least Miller has a partner in Boeser to make up our top line and pretty much anybody can play with them on that line and they are fine. I think we should try to get the bigger haul with Pettersson.
