Thank you David for this great interview! David Solomon is a great leader and one of the most important voices in our world economy today. Your interview style is amazing and you bring such great content to this space. Thank You!
Yes, you have raise a good point: The index feedback of the market was just a market "correction" to the previous rapid market growth, and not a change in the nature of the market. Thank you for sharing your investment wisdom. Vivian Zhang
Why is a guy like David Solomon not advising the President, Congress, etc on fiscal policy? If the national debt and government spending is what keeps him up at night how do you not want to help and serve your country, even if in an advisory position? It feels shortsighted especially for someone with children. There should be a committee of the top US financial professionals advising government officials on how to navigate the shitstorm we are up against.
@@Chessmapling It's not about the money it's about public service and giving back to the country that allowed him to achieve the level of success he's enjoyed. The brightest minds in finance are in the United States and yet politicians who have never had a job outside of government are the ones responsible for fiscal policy.
@@alexf4941 You're saying he should do it out of duty. I'm arguing it's completely unrealistic for him to enter public service out of "duty." Think about the type of personality it takes to succeed at one of the most notorious and cutthroat investment banks. Then think about what it takes to climb to the top of that ecosystem. That's not someone who'll do anything out of duty.
@@alexf4941 There's a simple reason the best and brightest do not go into government. Google the salary of a freshman congressman. Now google that of the president of the United States. Yeah. The commander in chief makes less than an IB MD at any middle market bank. How can we expect the smart people to come into government and improve it if they, being smart (duh), take a single look at the salary, a single look at rent in DC and the costs of commuting across the country to get to work, and decide that maybe it's not the best idea for their pocketbooks? Of course, many politicians are exceptionally wealthy, but most smart people I know don't want their money to come like politician money. They prefer working for it.
If inflation continues to re-accelerate, don't you think they will be forced to increase interest rates? It's not like they have the option to just stand back and watch it increase and hope it comes back down. They indicated they will act not just if it does not re-accelerate but if it does not demonstrate, it is actively on the way down to 2%, so the likelihood of an interest rate hike seems very significant. There's nothing to naturally bring inflation down at this point unless the labor market implodes.......currently I've been engaged in active trading, which is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility and also managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Adriana Jensen, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.
Investing has proven to be an incredibly beneficial decision. My cryptocurrency profits continue to play a substantial role in growing my overall wealth, reducing my reliance on my salary.

Imagine how much work he already has on his plate as the CEO of Goldman. Why would he want to take on additional work for little pay?

Only recruitment from universities is successful. I can send 100 application to Morgan Stanley but they won't call me.
