Excellent public speaker. Low key, low drama, relevant and continuous humor, great storytelling, self-deprecating, and still communicating a lot of valuable content. Masterful!
He speaks so quick. I think that's because he's so smart and got so much in his head which he wants to tell people about but the time is limited. I really enjoyed it.
Just listened to the first 5 minutes but this guy is instantly likable. He seems honest and connects well with people in a direct humourous manner. A good representative of his people and country.
I never knew David was that wealthy until after i listened to this video. I've been listening to the David Rubenstein show for months now. Great speaker and also great content!
I love this gentleman. He's so genuine and free. He's casual and approachable. I also love how he brings sense of humour in this interview and in the peer to peer conversations.
Excellent fellow. His intereviews are always excellent - and his view of the world is impressive. The best interview that I have seen him do was with the founder of Softbank
One of my greatest heroes. This man was raised in very, very modest beginnings and made so much of himself largely due to reading books and education. Such an amazing man.
A lot of current rich people didn't have wealthy parents. The majority of Jewish, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Russian and Korean people within America immigrated as dirt poor but their children and children's children became successful. You can too.
10/10. A very effective speaker. There is so much information coming in such a short time. I want to compare him to a zip file, which, if he had failed in other career choices, could have had success as a stand-up comedian.
Always learn great deal every time listen to David, the first 17 min is very inspiring after all, what you have to give back to justify your existence on the surface of this earth...
@PasoFreak I don't think so at all. Most people do not have the attention span to finish a newspaper article, much less finish a whole book. The problem is getting worse because of the social media platform and click bait culture.
Good perspecitive on people in our history having flaws as we all do and the ridiculousness of the "cancel" culture of trying to obliterate the ugly part of our past. Our past must be looked at from all diminsions and be learned from.
Inequality is growing because we are raising people with no virtue. They are droping out of school, not getting married and essentially excelling at being losers. Marriage and work are the two critical social elements that allow families to produce and grow wealth which they can pass on to their children, their community, humanity.
wow he is correct.. he predicted accurately that we didnt have a recession in 2018 and 2019... but sitting in 2020 we are all locked in our homes in a global pandemic
I started off enjoying his words and delivery. It wasn't long however before I found myself irked at his constant reference to his wealth, philanthropic tendencies and how his children are at a disadvantage because again, he is so rich. We already knew these things about him and it is the main reason he was invited, so in my opinion he has not escaped the poor habit of constantly telling us how rich he is. He very effectively could have given an excellent talk about his experiences and beliefs without repeatedly stroking his own ego in that way.
An excellent speaker and good motivator. However sadly he did not identify climate change as an important problem. He may not be able to do something personally, but he knows many influential people though and do a lot thrpugh the network.
It is important to remember that "greedy" ppl - typically spend their money on building the economy and underwriting tech. If they hoard their wealth, then your purchasing power goes up by virtue of them effectively tightening the money supply.
Man can speak, no doubt about it. He also spins and sidesteps w ease, as great speakers do. Content-wise? What did he say? Overpopulation is coming... but population in western countries declining. China big force, BRICS! Did I miss anything else?
United.State is now having deep trouble from the gun shooting violence Already this year over 300 gun shooting violence took place inside the United State Long ago only the gun shooting violence took place from the gun shooting danger zone such a as gangster zone But today almost everywhere inside the United.State is possible potential gun shooting violence zone Since NRA made it possible for the civilians to buying dangerous gun AR15 without background check United.State gun shooti g violence problem is worst than ever before United.State government have to be managing the gun inside the America the same way American government managing the nuclear missile weapon inside the United State Just as same as nuclear missile weapon should not be in dangerous countries hand Gun should be also should not be in bad persons hand
China is NOT an emerging market. America's arrogance never ceases to amaze me. China is the wealthiest nation in the world. China's wealth: $120 T, US wealth: $90 T. China's debt: $13 T. US debt: $30 T. End of story.
Hahaha... The reason why he CAN'T beat Carter as Mr. President is simply his high frequency of thinking and talking, if we compared both at the same age of persons. Hahaha.... He got to admit this point.
This guy does not allow comments on his youtube channel: the economic club of Washington: Here it is David, about Donald Trump Interview... "Puerto Rico is surrounded by water. Big water. Ocean water". - Trump. By far my favourite quote/intelligence indicator.
Chang George: I mean, do the youngest and brightest at Oxford have no idea who the Carlyle Group is and what the speaker has brought to the world besides a romantic seranade of his financial success? Not a single critical question?
Harshdep Dhillon: You are right. I shouldn't discredit him as an arms dealer alone when he has done a lot more TO his country. Heard of PRISM. Booz Allen Hamilton? Snowden? Oil and gas pipelines? Former employees, both Bushes, John Major, The Bin Laden Family. Its only Oxford. Why would they not be curious about all these 'intersections"? Come on Harshdeep! When Oxford want to tear at a speaker you'll se how the iq level in the room goes up.

Malaria nets only cost $5, so how many nets has the arrogant little leftist bought?
He speaks so quick. I think that's because he's so smart and got so much in his head which he wants to tell people about but the time is limited. I really enjoyed it.
He speaks quickly, yet remains so understandable. You don't miss anything.

love listening to David so much
It really great to listen David Rubenstein
Agree 100% He's amazing. If you like this, check out his interviews on Bloomberg.
I love this gentleman. He's so genuine and free. He's casual and approachable. I also love how he brings sense of humour in this interview and in the peer to peer conversations.

Meh he knows a lot more about 9/11 than he says...
They asked him great questions!
I paused at 17:46 to give a thumb up and to say I love you Mr. Rubenstein. You are an inspiration! Thank you!
Another rags to riches story..this guy is inspiring! Also feel good that my parents are not rich! I have some hope
A lot of current rich people didn't have wealthy parents. The majority of Jewish, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Russian and Korean people within America immigrated as dirt poor but their children and children's children became successful. You can too.
Brilliant! I absolutely love David Rubenstein. Thank you for uploading.

This man come in offered a sit but didn't take it, stood the whole time and gave a good presentation.......what a man
Always learn great deal every time listen to David, the first 17 min is very inspiring after all, what you have to give back to justify your existence on the surface of this earth...
This is an amazing interview. Also as an added bonus, at 8:26 the guys peaks into your soul.
30% of people in the US haven't read a book after graduating from college! I better get to reading a book instead of being a social media addict
@PasoFreak I don't think so at all. Most people do not have the attention span to finish a newspaper article, much less finish a whole book. The problem is getting worse because of the social media platform and click bait culture.
Wow...what an endearing man!
Finally you guys re uploaded it. Cheers 👌👌
Great, great show! I always enjoy David interviewing his billionaire "peers" :D
I noticed that Rubenstein repeats this exact same speech nearly word for word every time he gives a speech.
If we destroy our history - we are condemned to repeat it.
Very down-to-earth speech!👏👏👏👏👏
Great speech, thanks for uploading this!
You are so right about the issues regarding the middle east
I thought I'm playing this at 1.5x
He normally speaks slowly.
@@benjaminmendezzno way, he typically speak fast. Though he does speak slower in some interviews.

If I voted for Trump, I would not admit it.
Mark Freeman I wouldn't admit that you voted at all.

That analogy of comparing social inequality to the big bang theory is fucking ace
Wonderful!!
Love it !!!
Amazing as always! Thanks for the channel to upload it.
Great video from Oxford. Nice
Who doesn't enjoy David Rubeinstein interviews/speeches really?
Inequality is growing because we are raising people with no virtue. They are droping out of school, not getting married and essentially excelling at being losers. Oxford
Right he looks like warren buffet
A billionaire with a good sense of humour
His comment about class mobility was odd. Nearly all of the wealthiest people in the world today were middle-class or upper class.
An excellent speaker and good motivator.
