      Y'all are missing the point. Plenty of people have heart attacks that are outwardly healthy. But if you smoke and eat fatty foods every meal and don't exercise....you're heading for cardiac arrest. My friend did this for 20 years straight. I eat whatever I want, but it should all be in moderation. Not just living on crap processed food full of microplastics every single day.

    People are hearing "fast food" and automatically think that means you will get fat. If you need 2000-2500 calories a day and all you eat during the day is a Big Mac with fries, you have a net caloric deficit and will actually lose weight (not that the food is actually healthy). If you keep your calories in check, you will stay thin.

      There are so many Americans having white bread, waffles, pancakes, sausages, bacon .. eggs baked in oil with salt in it.. pasta, meat, ranch or mayo on their sandwiches etc daily.. How tf is that different from a big mac?!!

    If you really break down a Big Mac, it is fairly balanced. Protein, carbs, fats. Each one is 550-600 calories, so you can eat 2 a day without causing any damage. The biggest issue is they're high in sodium, so check your blood pressure, and drink plenty of water. Replace the soda with water or something much lower in sugar. I think the soda is much worse for you than the Mac

    • @TheBoldImperator
      @TheBoldImperator 6 лет назад +29

      Fast food doesn't have transfats these days. The real issue is not just sodium but sodium:potassium imbalance. Big Macs have a K:Na ratio of about 1:2.5 when a more optimal potassium ratio would be the inverse, 2.5:1. Salty foods add up in diet and they are oftentimes not compensated for by adequate potassium intake and any form of electrolyte imbalance interferes with successful heart functioning over time.
      Big Macs are also not low in the refined sugars themselves, at 9 grams or 1/5th the average can of soda.

      @@tylerholshouser7320 great questions, I believe that the taste is the same. When I started eating macs the burger was as big as the bun now it could be hidden by the pickle. I almost stopped eating macs in the late 80s when McDonald's started making all the hamburgers in the morning then microwave them per order. My local McDonald's would make them fresh for me. Then during the pandemic only drive thru as open and the quality suffered and I cut back big time. Today I only eat maybe once a month.

    i think portion control is the biggest factor in getting fat. You can eat what you want but don't eat all of it. Americans love to blame fast food company's for being fat but i don't think that was ever the case. We make choices to smoke and drink alcohol but we do it anyways.

      Havanorange my great grandmother ate a big ass bowl of white rice with deep fried fish or meat every damn day and she was 94 when she died. Leave the man alone. A lot of Americans consume meat every day (sausages, ham, spam and bacon) .. eat white bread every day.. put a shitload of salt in their food .. but go mad when someone eats a big mac everyday. Most of y’all consume way more salt and fat than this man does and you don’t even know it🙄🙄

      no calorie counting is pure bullshit. everyone has different digestive efficiency just becauce you eat 500 calories doesnt mean you will get 500 calories worth of energy. your poop contains much energy as well you will have to measure that to see what was not taken in. There are so many more factors involved counting calories is for the simple minded people it never works .
