Lotus 49 F1 Ford 1:12th Scale Jim Clark Tribute

This video shows the Tamiya 1:12 Scale Lotus "49" F1 Ford model kit I built as a tribute to the great Jim Clark "The Flying Scotsman"
Clark was a 2 time F1 world champion and he campaigned the legendary Lotus "49" in 1966/67 and won multiple Grand Prix races driving it.

Great job. There is a video of the actually track and the corner that he was killed. The track is all grown up now with bushes and trees.

Very cool. I made a Pinewood Derby version of this car a few years back. My Dad was a fan of Jim Clark. I had a penant on the wall in my room as a kid with Jim standing next to this car.

Thanks Heath, I've been wanting to build this kit for years. i have a thing for the pre winged F1 cars and always admired Jim Clark's Lotus 49. I've seen your race car builds, don't sell yourself short. You do a great job on them and they are difficult builds. I'm waiting for the release next month of the Trumpeter 1:12th 1966 Ford GT 40 MK II.
That is a fantastic kit and the GT 40 is my favorite race car. Can't wait to build it.
