I'm in MN and I still think we're still 3+ weeks away from doing much. Big factor for me is watering in pre emergent. I usually prefer to do it with a rain or when I turn on the outside water and start watering. Temps have been warm, but there just hasn't been any precipitation and I am not close to turning on the outside water. The lack of rain, has likely kept the grass from waking up and if we were get some I'd bet we'd be green by now. If the night temps hang in the 40s for a few weeks and I see some rain, GO TIME, but until then I am just walking the yard and stocking up on goodies for the season while prices are decent. I definitely think we get too excited to start the lawn season and forget the soil has got to have some moisture in it when putting things down. Otherwise it feels to me like fertilizing in a drought with out irrigating it.

Right there with ya, we’re a cold snap away from getting out of the gates for sure. Hoping for some rain on the other side then it’s party time for MN! -Ope

Is this a joke, you spent the first 10mins doing an intro and a boring story. Is this not about lawn care…

It’s about who we are first, Dads, real people connecting with other people just like us. We get so many comments with how much people love our Dads wins and losses. If they aren’t for you, skip forward to the meat and potatoes where we do talk all things lawn care. Let us know if you have a specific topic or question about lawn care, we’re here to help!
