Danny is very cool to play with these young musicians....looks like he's having the time of his life....class act.
Maybe this Tool lineup can get a new album out
Well, it's out
Lmao
Fear inoculum good enough?
Danny Carey is the Santa Clause of the snare drum. Showing up to deliver gifts to musicians around the globe and always with a smile. We don’t deserve him.
"Eyeballs deep in muddy waters, frickin' hypocrite" just killed me.
Shit, I’m glad you pointed this out. I’m frickin’ losing it! 😂
Danny Carey is a poet in drumming, and the kids deserve some credits. They did a great job. Outstanding!!!
Don’t think Danny ever lost that smile, pure joy and fun coming from his heart!
Guitarist shakes hands with Danny at the end, then goes right to retuning his guitar...badass!!!!
This would be an awesome idea for a series.. kid covers with a member of the actual band playing or singing.
Oh my god I would love that video series. We find local unknown cover bands and surprise them with one of the actual band members.
I’m obsessed with this😆 Danny’s smile & happiness is just everything 🙌🏼🫶🏼
Girl rocked that bass, Danny was so stoked
At the end, Danny walks over to the bassist and hugs her. Like, "Girl, you killed it! "
Good thing it was Joe Biden
How magnanimous is he?!?! Unreal! What a cool guy!!! One of the best drummers on the planet, and so down to earth to do this.
He must have been humbled by shrooms, DMT, or the toad. He probably had a good master reset and now transformed to a humble man.
Danny is just happy to play with people that love music. This is amazing
Totally made my day. Love Danny.
Man, Danny is seriously the most genuine and kind guy in the music world right now. Just a great dude all the time, everywhere he goes :)
You can see Danny is having a really hard time not killing that Kit. I met him when he was on tour with Volto, afterwards he talked to me for a good hour, his arms both fully submerged in a huge bucket of ice.No one plays harder with that much precision, ever.
I smiled for 6 minutes and 35 second straight. Can you imagine? Dude, how do you get cooler than this?
No shit! Me too. I actually got a little something in my eye that made it water up too. Not sure what that was about. Great kids and great celebrity behavior! 🤘😆🤘
Yeah me too, and the fact that he smiled for 6 minutes and 35 seconds straight is what made me do the same. Super awesome for these kids and to see his genuine smile just having a blast the entire time
Those 3 kids are now the coolest kids at school
I love how Danny just looks beyond honored to be playing with them. Such a genuine dude. Mad respect 🫡
The drummer's great, but he's no Danny Ca...wait a minute.
Dude look closer it IS Danny...
best comment here... thumbs up!!
@@toolrushdrummer WAIT, WHAT?
@@toolrushdrummer r/whoosh
@@AndrewKonkey whoosh yourself, I was double trolling.
Awesome. Danny's genuine smile cut through the whole time. What a great guy, and awesome well done cover
I don't know Danny Carey, but he seems like such a cool, super down to earth person. I've heard the same about Adam Jones and Justin Chancellor.
Absolutely love that Danny is the one enjoying it the most out of all of them. What a guy.
6:16
Danny: oh shit the toms not here
I'm going to tell you something. Their bass player is on point!!!!
Loved every second of this. The pure joy on Danny's face, the fantastic job by all the band members, totally made my day.
This is the best video of the entire internet. Danny is the best.
"It's been a long time since I played it, so..." - proceeds to absolutely murder it. Hustler.
Danny was probably wearing a basketball jersey underneath the sweatshirt
is he saying they didn't practice together before this?
He did lose it a bit right at the end. Totally understandable. I don't think I could play my first albums songs on a whim.
@@wildcountry72 ...first album? 10,000 days is tool's 4th album.
@@jarnicules I never said his first album. Maybe read it again. I said my first album on a whim. Reading comprehension is fundamental
Man imagine how this impacted these kids as burgenoing young musicians, to play with a legend, wow. I hope they go on to do amazing things and never forget this moment
I can't believe Danny is this cool. Greatest drummer in the world and he's playing for young kids in a band. That's so wholesome, it's just crazy.
100%
Never seen before Gerard Depardieu drumming
😂😂😂😂
Looool😅
hahahah!
He’s got a bit of talent, though. With some practice he could end up in a marching band.
Danny is absolutely loving these musicians...everyone in Tool is down-to-Earth and civil. It lends eternal greatness to their musical power.
Is Danny Carey the nicest guy in the world? Because he sure seems like it.
He even said nice things about Bieber. I don't like bieber, Maynard doesn't like bieber, Danny said nice things about him.
Seems like a super nice guy.
He has to be really nice to play with a band whose singer can't carry a tune in a bucket!
Yes and more yes
dude cant get this good if he's not nice af
Competing with Dave Grohl. On being nice of course, not drums. 😂
The wedding band's drummer's kit smoked a cigarette after and said "I've never been banged like that in my life"
🤣🤣🤣
TOP UNDERRATED COMMENT!
For real 😂
The drums wanna go home with Danny now lol
This is a kind of thing that changes your life as kid. The ladies were killing it.
Man, that breakdown from 4:33 to 5:07 is hard to do and these kids slayed it. The bass and guitar player even manage to keep so relaxed and make it look easy too. I’m just amazed, so inspiring!
Tools guitar work IS easy as hell , least talented member in the band hands down.
@@damien136it's not about the technicality of the riffs, it's the ability to play them consistency for such long periods of time. Might seem easy to just smash them out but to play them in perfect tempo against the drummer for minutes on end isn't the easiest task even for the most trained guitarists.
True timing is a hard skill to develop
@@damien136 minimalism does not equal a lack of talent. It's actually harder to hold back than to be roucous.
DC is loving this jam. You can tell he absolutely loves to just play...anytime...anywhere...with anyone. He and the bass player were feeding off of each other, and he was quite impressed with the guitar player. That kid was tight and in the zone.
5:17 coming in all together w Danny with only the vocal cue must have felt so magical! They were locked in!! Once in a lifetime moment on camera! Congrats yall! Sounds amazing!
5:17 - that hit brought chills! And nobody was even looking at each other. They knew the piece THAT well. Good on ya!
What an incredible opportunity for these young musicians! A chance of a lifetime...very nice job by all of them! Danny is so gracious...
As a parent, musician, and Tool fan I had a mile wide smile through this whole video how awesome!
this video demonstrates how important the drums are, even in this dining room the song sounds absolutely huge. nice vid
Love this. Insane how damn hard Danny hits those drums when he’s trying his best to feather them. You can hear the whole room shaking with the shots.
You guys actually have no idea how blessed you were to have Danny sit in with you. That would be a highlight of a lot of people's entire lives. Great cover
Exactly
They took the time to learn the song. Lead guitar doing a decent job. I think they know how goodnof a story that is.
@@BioDeus I agree. It may take years for it to fully sink in, but they get it. This is like a shoot-around with LeBron James, and they know it.
And for him it was just a saturday...
@drot13 I know, he was probably doing it for a family member or something.
Admit it, we'd all have shit ourselves at that age if this was us....🤘... kudos to Danny man... and massive props to the kids
I’d shit myself now as a grown ass man
Those damn kids held their shit together, though. My hat's off to them.
wow this must be a highlight for these young musicians to have the honor to play along side Danny Carrey! XD amazing!
It absolutely was!
Jacob Wilder that guitar is spot on!
Thank you very much.
Yeah, you definitely nailed the guitar. Great job.
Dude its awesome to see you smile mid song like "holy shit this is really happening" 😂😂
It’s also impressive to see Danny hold back like that, while still keeping the intensity of the song.
"Im sorry..is the band interupting your conversation?"
I know ... wtf.
Right.
Seriously, i get that its a banquet, but when something so rare and special like this happens, you stfu listen and be respectful. Whether you’re a fan or not, this is an amazing thing for those kids to be a part of. More so than i think they even realized at the time.
Where do you hear that. I don’t hear anything
Fucking hell I know right
