That first slice looks exactly like the slices I would get so often as a kid in NY, about 40+ years ago. Price and size of the slice is the same, too. Technically it is because plastic will not ruin the flavor of caviar like wood or metal spoons will. If serving caviar you generally will use a mother of pearl spoon because it doesn't oxidize, and add a metallic taste to the eggs. Plus it is good for presentation, but using a plastic one for adding caviar to a dish is fine.

That first slice looks exactly like the slices I would get so often as a kid in NY, about 40+ years ago. Price and size of the slice is the same, too. IIRC it was 1.25 for a slice and a soft drink (possibly 2 slices, I really don't remember). I would not go anywhere near the slices shown from the other places in the video. And I am so tired of people making food expensive for no reason. It's almost always the same adds too. Truffles, gold leaf, foie gras, and caviar add nothing positive to a friggin pizza.
The only thing you need to add to a pizza is love. I'm from the uk an been to loads of pizza places, some make the base burnt, others are greasy, some even feel doughy/uncooked. Very difficult to find an amazing pizza place, if I ever went to New York on holiday I don't think I'd ever leave
$1.25 and up to $1.75, but they had "out of school" specials of $1 dollar pizza with a small cup of soda from like 2pm to 3:30. Smart
yeah those ingredients have become almost a weird perversion of food. A hedonistic disgrace that people will carelessly throw money at. I can appreciate people pushing certain extremes but this is vile
i grew up eating pizza from rays which is now the famous prince st. pizza. back in the day u could get a $1 slice all over the city, and $1.50 with a drink.
All those pizzas looked so good. The 2000 dollar one was the iffyist of the bunch. Had to be a fun eating video Was fun to watch, Great video
Périgord truffles "the best in the world" my Italian ass 🤣
I'm eating breakfast as I watch this and I'm hungry squared, now ! New York Pizza with that golden, puffy, delicate crust is what dreams are made of.
Sonny's hair is lovely.
The soft burger bun -pizza looked absolutely disgusting despite your polite comments 😅 Great video again, thank you!
It looked strange, but I definitely will try making a biggie Mac pizza at home. It looks delicious to me.
I wouldn't eat it.
i guarantee that biggie mac pizza would still taste miles better than the $2000 pizza
Who would want to eat a shitty bun on top of their pizza lol
%100 he was lying lol
13:44 *Hard pass* 🏈 Nope . Give me a regular NY thin pizza 🍕
The chicken and waffle pizza look so good 😋
yeah that's definitely breakfast pizza for sure
glad to see the "worth it" series has come back!
this guys pretty cool compared to the last 3 guys.
good stuff keep it up.
Buzzfeed's Worth It has been moved to the About To Eat channel if you haven't known. They released 3 new episodes not that long ago
I was really hoping to see the legit NY style pizzas from the top rated pizza spots all across NY. 1 bite pizza review covers some of the best Pizza places in NY, and would be a good guide to determine where to go
That's probably why he didn't. There's enough shows doing that. We're here for the 8ft tall headband to show us some funky foods in pizza shape.
*$1 Pizza will always be the number one seller. There was a 2 Bros down the street from my old job. I ate dollar slices dam near every day that line be around the corner. A lot of my family members from other states swear $1 Pizza slices doesn't exist in NYC. They have to pay $2.50 for nasty oily Pizza in their town* 🤣🤣🤣
Didn't you see how the guy ate the pizza? if you can fold a pizza then its New York style
I can vouch for the $1 slices. They’re are a great deal and they taste good. Used to grab them all the time in NYC.
I hate to sound stupid but if you buy 1$ slices does.that mean the pie is 8$?
@@tybones2222 I mean depends on how big of a whole pizza we talking about , a normal pizza probably smaller than 8 slice from that cause the slice looked bigger than your average pizza slice, so I guess the price is actually justifyable
Only person ever to give the gold leaf pizza a good review, everyone knows the rules!
You had me at birria. 🤤🤤
14:22 you’re so real for this ❤
Find it hard to believe the 2k pizza doesn't have great margins 🙃
Actually I bet it does with the truffles and caviar. The gold isn’t the money maker.
its probably $400-$600 for ingredients, 2k is a reasonable price. worth it? i cant answer
@@Yero_Celgne Fancy food is never reasonably priced.
I am sure it doesn't if only 2 are ordered every year. They still need to have the ingredients on hand all year long and those ingredients go bad they must throw them away. They must think the publicity is worth it though.
@@turkey2003 They probably use the ingredients in other dishes they sell, no one is dumb enough to be constantly throwing out caviar and foie gras.
That birra pizza looks absolutely 🔥!
after sonny said those gold sheets are cheep and not 800$, the chef becomes nervous and laughs and squeezing his hands and his hands shaking shows a lot of things!!!!
That biggie mac pizza or whatever it is called is an absolute hearth attack and is considered a war crime in Italy.
Pizza food makes me so hungry already 🤤👍
Sunny always surprises me with his content, $100 was so expensive for food and then he showed us $2000 pizza.
I thought most people would've known about this pizza by now since it was featured by Worth It a couple of years ago
$100 was so expensive for food? Do you not go out much, that's a mid priced dinner at most restaurants now. I wish that was still expensive.
Hope the team was able to finish the Biggy pizza :]
0:31 answer:- put gold on literally on any food (whether it is pizza or not), you get $2000 bill
I've always imagined going to New York & just trying out a variety of pizzas, exactly what you're doing in this video. 😭
As someone who lived here all my life jus go to any family owned pizza parlor and it’ll be very similar to the pizza we have here, dominos Pizza Hut are gonna serve hot trash but the small family owned joints always some real pizza
I like how he used plastic spoons to put the toppings on the 2000$ 🍕
Technically it is because plastic will not ruin the flavor of caviar like wood or metal spoons will. If serving caviar you generally will use a mother of pearl spoon because it doesn't oxidize, and add a metallic taste to the eggs. Plus it is good for presentation, but using a plastic one for adding caviar to a dish is fine.
@@somethingvisceral2003 caviar tastes like shit no matter what spoon you use.
@@somethingvisceral2003 Nonsense! Plastic always ads more flavor than metal. Drink from plastic vs glass or metal or smoke from a plastic bong vs glass or metal. The bong difference is huge.
@@slik4032 For some I'm sure but I actually enjoy caviar. Everyone's tastes are different.
The cheaper pizzas looked much tastier. Good on you for calling out their cheap gold foil by the way Sonny.
This channel is awesome
Give me $1 slice over that $2G pizza any day !
Some of those pizza's look insane just from the intro alone, it's a shame in the uk we either have italian, or chicago town pizza, with a few variations of those two types, and that's about it, but there are some pizza places that do turkish pizza as well, which is insanely good!
crazy good combo you can get maybe nowhere/everwhere. Chicken, Mustard, Honey, and Pickled peppers
The UK is not the USA, thats why.
Damn... I would love to give a go for the pizza that can be dipped in the broth... I bet that it was super delicious! Sad that I couldn't get one, couldn't afford to get to New York on a trip.
This video is proof that just because its more expensive its not automatically better! Cherish what you have and can afford.
That last pizza has Dubai Bling written all over it, it would be hard to believe there are no similar offerings here somewhere. That said, if we are talking about value, nothing beats that $1 slice of goodness. I'm a veggie pizza kinda guy and like my classic Margaritas😋 I might get a meaty pizza once a year or so, but pizza for me is mostly a non-meaty dish that's why the $1 slice is my favorite.
Hard to believe that people respect their trade and profession and do not spit on Italian cuisine?
Of course tasteless uncultured barbars put gold on food and think it's best food.
Its degradation....
@@pepevonkek7803 in complete honesty, and while I try not to judge, I'm not a fan at all of excessive display of privilege just for the sake of it. Still, there are people out there who believe they should because they can, which I'm not a fan of. But to each their own... Sonny tries everything out there because he is an entertainer and has a dedicated food show. But others who eat outrageously expensive golden-plated meals just for the sake of it... IDK...
@@kaminobatto very often less is better. Simpler solutions are more reliable in mechanics and with the food I think the same applies. Only thing this outrageously pompous cake missed was safran and oysters. Other than that it almost had cartoon or meme quality
I like how we have to watch a ad before Sonny eats the most expensive pizza 😂
That’s how he affords it.
Funny my ad was little Caesars. No joke
1:52 as a Dutch guy seeing him in your video makes me laugh so hard 😂
ja dat was zo gek uit t niets haha
Is that a Dutch guy licking broccoli?
@@pippadawg7037 yes its vincent
FTL sticker at 0:50 goes hard, BMX baby!
The only slice place we have here starts at $5.50 for a cheese slice 😢
Here in Capetown $5, 50 is about 85 rands. You can buy a large pepperoni.
Sonny we know you didn't really like that expensive pizza, it's ok we know your food expressions. ❤
I really wish you could have visited 3 Brothers in Long Island. They have such a wide variety of unique flavors *and* they have almost all of them with a vegan opt too! One of them is called The Mac with mac & cheese, tempeh bacon, and either buffalo sauce or truffle aioli.
WHERE TO STAY:
It is recommended to stay at Sylhet town as there is no accommodation facility in Bholaganj. Tourists can visit and return back to the town within the same day. There is Government Bungalow in Companiganj and few guest houses of government officials in town.
I live in NJ but LOVE NYC. Just to drive in between gas, tolls, and parking you are looking at $70-$90. This makes the $1 pizza a bonus find to grab between shops or waiting in line for a Broadway show. ( not to mention that play tickets average $200-$300 a pop) The pizza tastes great, it's fast easy, and portable...perfect
