I watched all your videos about job interviews, in addition to learning English, I also learned a better posture for an interview, in my interview they asked some questions similar to the one in the video. I'm Brazilian and I applied for a position as an engineer who needs to speak English. I did really well and got the job. Thank you very much, Rachel!
I'm also Brazilian and I had my first interview in English last year and got the job. I went back in the last few days to prepare for a new hiring process and... IT WORKED ONCE AGAIN. Rachel is amazing and this video is a classic, essential...

Dear Rachel, Last year I was approved in a hiring process guided by this video. I wrote down every tip and every detail of your guidelines. Last week, I was approved in yet another hiring process and, again, I revisited this video to prepare for the interviews. It worked again! I see this video as a classic of essential videos for anyone who wants to be approved in a hiring process. It's just amazing how this works!! Congratulations on the content. I am very grateful to you. I wish you all the best in your life and career.
Thanks, Rachel! I have used your videos for more than a decade to improve my spoken language skill, and now for job promotion. Here is a token of appreciation for your tutorials. I know I owe you a lot more than this. Again, thanks!
For non-natives, this lesson is very useful. In Argentina we are very used to having interviews in English, and you always have to prepare to do your best. Thank you Rachel!

I have some questions: 1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate). 2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role 3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies 4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years* *Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*.
That is my number one problem. I'm not nervous about getting interviewed because I already experienced a lot of it from the past years. My only problem is my fluency. I sometimes don't know what words to say because it is everywhere in my mind, It depends sometimes with the question.
I owe you a debt of thanks. I have followed along with your video to prepare for an interview in English and today I was informed that I was accepted for the training program . I returned back here to thank you for that 😊
Dear Rachel, my English interview is tomorrow. I am so excited because that's gonna be my lifetime interview. Frankly we only live once and we have to do what we want to do in life, right? This oppurtunity comes once in life. I gotta take it no matter what. You helped me a lot. Wish me luck please. I'll keep you posted! Much love ❤️

Hello Marion Castro, This is Jay, a Bagladeshi-Canadian. How is it going? Your English sounds pretty good. Anyway, I am going to point out that your sentences seem to lack structure (quality). Here are some rewritten sentences: The 1st one you could have said like this ---- " Sometimes, I struggle to structure sentences ", or " Sometimes, I find it difficult to construct sentences on my own ". The 2nd one ---- '' The examples you have used within the contexts here are very good ''. The 3rd one ---- " I have realized that a clear and concise answer sounds way better than just speaking in the wrong order ". The 4th one ---- " Hope to ace my next interview " or " hope to nail it for my next interview ". Thank you. Wish you all the best!
Thank you again Rachael ! Interviews are always a challenge. I have often contemplated how I should behave while being interviewed. It seems that the most successful interview experiences for myself have been ones where I remained relaxed but alert, and most important, just be myself . If you are acting, it will tell on you and be unfavorable. The person you are talking to is not God, just another person. Keep that in mind during the interview process. Always be respectful and honest. I always enjoy listening to you Rachel no matter what you talk about because your diction is near perfect.
This video brought me back to my last IELTS speaking test. I didn't do as well as I was expected. Wish I had seen this video earlier back then. Thank you Rachel, I really enjoy learning through your videos.

I really appreciate you uploading this video. I'm a Korean university student and preparing an English test after applying for an internship program of English speaking company. The video is most helful among the others in RUclips. Thanks again. I could do well because of you💚
Very helpful this video. Special for me. I feel frustrated 😕. Because I never pass the interview for a good position 🙃. I really need help. Thank you 😊
I enjoyed watching this helpful video, I think the lesson of this week has been postponed to watch this amazing one that I missed.. Thanks Ms. Rachel for your great content!
Tomorrow I'm going to a job convention in my university, english is not my first language but I'm sure that almost all the interviews will be in English, I'm not as good as I would like to be in speaking... In adition it will be my first time doing a job interview. Your video gave me a better view of what I will encounter 😊 thanks a lot!
Mrs.Rachel, I owe you. This really helps me a lot. Thanks ! Love you from Sri Lanka. I'm a 21 years old student. I wish I could speak with you live. You're such a great English teacher. Appreciate it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This video is really helpful for every single learner.I adore to watch your videos as your all videos are interesting. There are loads of concepts to learn .You are one of the greatest english teacher .Thanks for being a fantastic teacher .
Rachel I found your channel trying to self-train myself for my job interviews. I am a resident of Florida and I work as a seamstress despite having finished my university studies in Cuba, I have not yet gotten a job due to my lack of fluency in communicating, due to the panic I had from my 1st interview to work at Michaels. Thank you for your video, as you say, I have already identified my weaknesses, now I have to overcome them. I made screenshots of your advice and now I'm going to copy everything and review
Even though i'm not gonna applying job, but it's still gives me some new vocabulary. some kind of vidoes like this really help the eng learners like me. I've learned so much things about English in youtube better than what school did. So, since it's really useful,i'd really appriciate you for doing this job. Thanks a lot❤️
I found your video about the interviews very interesting. I went step by step and did almost everything that the interviewer asked for, but there are managers who believe that Uni is going for his position. They don't know that people want to grow in the best way, but anyway, you If you have talent, I'm glad to see your video, it was inspirational, although I didn't achieve it, but you're right in your video, success, keep going.
I’m going for my first job interview in English on Wednesday. As a Brazilian, it’s going to be a huge challenge for me. I’ll let you know if I succeed.
Always here thank you teacher💐 Teacher I've a question for you please . I am a student at high school in Algeria and I am a very good student so next year will be my baccalaureate exam so in this year I have to choose a University major so in fact I want to be a doctor and I want to continue my studies in USA so please I want some information if you can I really need your help ...Is it expensive and how much it costs? Can I work and study at the same time ? Is there some jobs that may help to pay the university ? I am waiting your answer Thank you 💖
Hi! I wish I had the answers to these questions, but to be honest I think that the answers will be different depending on the University you are hoping to attend. I suggest looking at schools you would be interested in attending, and then reaching out to the admissions department of each school with these questions. They will be able to give you specific answers and help you make a plan! Best of luck with your studies!! :)
Hi Rachel, I would like to thank you for this video you had made. This is very helpful to me and I've learned so many common answers from you for the common questions coming from the interviewer. I loved to repeat your video again and again not just to memorize the lines or word for word it was just because I loved how you stood out in front of the interviewer, however, you had shown many brilliant answers to those questions that I was amazed at. I wish I had confidence in speaking in English, however, I'm not good at English grammar, but then, I still, kept studying.
Hey, Rachel! This video was really out of the box. I didn't expect you to come with the 'INTERVIEW' series. Let me clue you in, Rachel!. You justified this video by bringing some cool interview tips and many interesting idioms and phrases that caught my eye. I acknowledge! How well have you used these words, such as PERSEVERE, DEMEANOUR, CHOCOLATE, CRITIQUE?!. I adore the way you explain, the correct sitting posture. There are still many things to incorporate. I like the interviewer's demeanor and his sets of questions too. Perhaps, your performance, I would highly appreciate and last but not least, that last question you asked ( IMAGINE.. ) was a really good one. I think this interview will help me to increase my probability of hearing these two words 'YOU'RE HIRED', whenever I'll go for an interview. I have a question for you, Rachel! Sometimes you pronounce T in INTERVIEW, you drop it as well. Make the cat out of this question box, Rachel! Finally, excited about your Tuesday video!.
This is a top-notch video about the typical English interview!😎👍 I wonder if they read a script or not, but even if they had done it, it's very smoothly delivered and the connective speech between them was not a problem at all. Interestingly enough, we can bump into the questions they used in my country, Korea. In the last few months, I joined several face-to-face job interviews and they were not much different from one another. Very well done.!
JA the Best, hi. I am a Bangladeshi Canadian. You speak English well; however, you still need to polish up your English a bit. First off, 'connective ' is a noun', not adjective. You could have said here ' connecting speeches ' instead. The phrase ' bump into ' can be used only with a person not with a thing. Exp. Yesterday, I bumped into an old friend of mine. You don't say ' join job interviews '. You can say ' join the debate ', join the coversation, join the line, join a campaign and the like. You could have said, ' I had several face-to-face interviews, or I had several interviews in person. Good luck !
I have just finished my job interview, and was amazing. This video help me so much and I was very impressioned with my performance. Tks a lot Teacher Rachel
Good afternoon teacher I'm a Buddhist monk in Cambodia and I always follow your charnel every day but I can't speak English, However I'm very thanks so much.
I'm going to have a interview this Monday, and I don't know if my English is enough for the questions. For this reason I'm watching the video. I only hope to have success. Althrought my english is not the good I will try.
Great video Rachel! I learned so many ways to approach those answers. Sometimes, I struggle with the structure of my sentences, and you showed us very effective examples here to use in this very formal situations. I've also realized that an short and accurate answer sounds way too better that just speak with no clear order. Good Job! Hope to nail it in my next job interview. Thanks!!!

Hi Rachel, how are you. Thank you for sharing your invaluable knowledge with us. Thank you for sharing these great job interview tips. This video is going to help a lot of people including native speakers. Your videos are just perfect. P.s I heard that you used the prhase "a little bit", I had heard some natives that this is wrong, since "little" and "bit" means the same thing and it sounds like repetition. I like to use it "a little bit". It sounds fun but some times I feel a little bit uncomfortable thinking if it is correct to use it or not, but if you use it here on a job interview, I know it is correct.😊

That's great @zoilamariaruiz1520! Keep on learning!
Happy to hear that Rinda! :)
The most useful lesson. I found this lesson very interactive
Glad to hear that!
I’m going for my first job interview in English on Wednesday. As a Brazilian, it’s going to be a huge challenge for me. I’ll let you know if I succeed.

Teacher I've a question for you please . I am a student at high school in Algeria and I am a very good student so next year will be my baccalaureate exam so in this year I have to choose a University major so in fact I want to be a doctor and I want to continue my studies in USA so please I want some information if you can I really need your help
...Is it expensive and how much it costs?
Can I work and study at the same time ?
Is there some jobs that may help to pay the university ?
I am waiting your answer
Thank you 💖
I am very happy to listen to your lessons..
I'm from Iran and your channel help me to learn english as native.
Thank you.
You're welcome Saadi!
Hi Rachel,
I would like to thank you for this video you had made.
Thanks for sharing Mervin. Just keep practicing and you'll get there! :)
@@rachelsenglish right now, in the middle of trying times I'm trying to get hired in a BPO company hoping for Gods' mercy.

You're welcome Trang!
Hey Rachel! I hope you’re doing great 😊 I have a question: why I’m I fluent in writing and not in speaking?
You lack confidence! Practice speaking to yourself in the mirror until you feel comfortable speaking English in front of people.
Good luck !

Hi there and thanks for watching Phnom!
Hi, it’s difficult to me to know when the “s” has sound of real s and when it has sound of z. May you record a video about it?
Thanks for the suggestion! :)
I'm going to have a interview this Monday, and I don't know if my English is enough for the questions.
For this reason I'm watching the video. I only hope to have success. Althrought my english is not the good I will try.
Thanks for watching and good luck to your interview @pax9656!
Thanks!!!
Glad it was helpful! Marlon
Hello Marion Castro,
This is Jay, a Bagladeshi-Canadian.
What's not to love. I like this kind of work. Thank you so much for your great efford.
You're very welcome!

That's wonderful to hear Susan!
'a little bit' is totally fine in casual conversation, but you might want to avoid using it in a formal situation. Good luck studying :)
Love this.. you look so confident., maybe because Tom is one of your best friends.. lol. Love you both.
