      I have some questions:
      1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate).
      2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role
      3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies
      4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years*
*Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*.

I just want to share that these tips helped me land my dream job. Fresh out of college as an engineer, I did great during a phone interview, but poorly in a face-to-face invterview for a fortune 500 company. I just didn't have pre-planned topics to answer some questions with and came off as unprepared and inexperienced. I didn't get the job then. 5 years later, I wanted to redeem myself. This was a once in a lifetime job opportunity for me so I didn't want to miss my chance. I had a 30 minute interview with the executive director of engineering and was able to hit on all of my strengths clearly and concisely. I nailed it. I started by highlighting key aspects of the job posting, and then I thought about all of these interview questions and practiced my responses daily until they came out naturally. It landed me the job!

I need to say that I hadn't interviewed in years and when I had my two first interviews before finding your page; I lacked the eloquence and confidence needed to make an impact. Hello Don,
Firstly, I would like to thankyou for your advise as I have viewed numerous of your publications.
A couple of weeks ago within a manufacturing environment, I made myself redundant relative to a Senior position to protect my colleagues.
Today, I attended a third, Zoom and physical interview with three stakeholders for a position. If I am not rewarded the position, then another candidate is GOD.
With your advise and my education, we nailed the interview. I was extremely pleased a two hour interview and I was able to express my ability relative to a Seasoned Manager inclusive of Holistic Operations.
The moral of this is to never give up and treat knowledge as no weight to carry.
    Thankyou Don.
    Yours Sincerely,
    David.

I love it when an interview basically is a conversation. I believe this is the way it should be, as opposed to cornering / challenging the candidate with these somewhat hardball/intimidating question. Ok, it's fine to throw in one or two of them, but like right after the ice is broken and the candidate is "comfortable". I think that is the best approach to see their response when a sudden change/shift in tone happens.

I'd begun interviewing for permanent roles as my 6-month contract was winding down. After 2 interviews went south at the finalist stage, I revised my strategy, which included recording detailed notes on this video in late October. Lo and behold (and I really don't consider it pure coincidence)....I used them in my next interview, a final round, and got the offer a week later. Thanks, Don!

Went into it with confidence, sat up straight, smiled, when asked about my resume I did what you said I started with how I got into this field, and my great experiences and why I love this field. I knew a little about the company and asked great questions. So thank you!!!🙏

Thank you so much, Don! I just landed an entry level software development position at a fortune 100 company. I don't think I would have performed nearly as well as I did without preparing using this video. I went through this video 4 times. The first time through I had to spend maybe 5 minutes thinking and writing out a solution before I was able to answer. Second time through I had to look at my notes occasionally but was able to come up with many answers on the spot. Third and Fourth time through no notes needed and had lightning-fast, quality responses for each of the questions.
A few of my interview questions were the same but I feel that what I learned the most from this video was figuring out what the interviewers are trying to learn [and what they are looking for] by asking these questions and how to think about past experience to come up with an answer to satisfy their question. That is certainly something that requires a lot of practice and this video is no doubt a great resource for that.

Thanks so much, Just this morning I put your advice to the test and got a second interview. I was nervous throughout the weekend because I felt like I bite off more than I could chew with the position I'm going for. Your advice gave me the confidence in knowing how to answer and ask during the interview. Even the interviewer told me she really enjoyed speaking with me and wanted to bypass the 5-day waiting process and set up my second interview this Thursday.

Hi Don, my husband sent me here before my interview with the recruiter yesterday, which got me to the second interview with the manager today. I wanted to thank you for making these videos to help us out. It’s very interesting to see how they will probably ask the same thing, just word it differently. Also, your free guides were of much help. The feedback I got from the interviewer was very positive and she liked me a lot. Well, my answers too I suppose. Again thank you for putting out your knowledge out into the world for people to ace their interviews. I will check back and let you know once I begin training. I asked about their hiring process and it takes a whole two months.
Thanks again, all the best to you. 🙂

Thank you for all of your videos. I used many of them to spend the day studying and I am not sure if I got the job yet but the General Manager I interviewed with sounded like he was very interested in me and we talked on the phone afterwards. He mentioned the training programs they used for things related to the jobs of the people I would be managing. I told him on the phone that I looked into them and I had to log onto their website but I got a few of their smaller courses on youtube and such. He said that was good and I believe that showed my commitment to the job as well. Hopefully he and his constituents I will be working with like that.
