- Jimmy Fallon says he and Jimmy Kimmel had been planning to switch places on their shows for seven years, revealing that neither one of them asked executives from their respective networks and they planned the whole thing in secret. Jimmy goes on to say he doesn’t know how they’ll top that April Fools' plan this year.

That would be interesting. As it will soon stand, Kimmel will be the only host based in L.A. No one is replacing James Corden once he finishes with The Late Late Show this month. I think a new version of @midnight is taking over that time slot.
Post Jay Leno I love how the talk show hosts get on well and are supportive of each other despite being in competition.
I loved the Jimmy switch up!
Honestly, Kimmel was left out to dry with the swap because he was expected to carry on doing Fallon's bits whereas Kimmel's writers took care of Fallon and they had a pre-taped segment with him surprising guests. Kimmel's show overall has better writing and better produced bits. Fallon's popularity is centered more around his charisma and likeability.
Wonder how much trouble they each got into with execs? This move had to flip some wigs!

One of the best april fools late night talk show host swap starring Jimmy kimmel and Fallon I think we let the daytime talk show gals kelly clarkson and drew Barrymore show swap their roles in April Ross Matthew's will be in for some Kelly clarkson moment

I mean I guess the only way they can top last year really is if all the late night hosts swapped shows like obviously the Jimmy's do the same thing as last year, and then Corden and Seth Meyers could switch and Colbert and whoever the fuck is hosting the daily show next week can swap as well.
Whomever was in charge of editing this should be ashamed. To have it interlaced this badly is embarrassing.

I highly doubt that they both didn't get clearance from some executives up top of both networks for permission... it's one thing to be a guest for an interview on another network but totally different to do what they did without making sure it was OK... if they didn't get the okay and just did it, that could of been career suicide for both of the Jimmy's and all the producers of each shows
