Seeing him 4.5 months later look this good is absolutely insane. He is a true badass. His perspective and transparency is truly inspiring and refreshing.
Under 3 and a half months (14 weeks to be exact). His recovery time is actually astonishing.

What an incredible point of view. To be thinking about everyone else was thinking during such a horrific time. Yet he keeps his sense of humor. What a generous human being.
It's really weird that he said that. I had exactly the same reaction when I opened my leg with a concrete angle grinder and was bleeding out. "I can't do this to my brother and his girlfriend. We're renovating his place and I go and traumatize them".
For some reason the perspective turned to how I was inconveniencing all these different people.
I think it may be part of a reaction to the shock / adrenaline?

There are people like you, I, and Renner out there that just don’t want to negatively impact anyone around you no matter what. It speaks volumes and it’s rare.
And some people out there are selfish, live to play the victim and love drama.

I think he is secretly in Love w Scarlett. Watch him in interviews w her. In one she was at a podium & he whispers into her ear & she doesn't flinch. Her facial expressions don't change, she ignores him. She doesn't want to react to what he says at all. That tells me she doesn't want to react to mislead people w her facial expressions

Jeremy’s a real one. He grew up in the Central Valley (Modesto), middle class family, no Hollywood connections. I grew up near there and he reminds me of the guys I grew up with. You can tell he’s still down to earth.

You can see it in his eyes, he's still in tremendous pain, but... Damn, what a trooper! It's amazing that he survived, and a miracle that no major organs or spinal injuries were sustained. You can tell his family is not only happy he's up and about, but still coping with the shock of such a close call. I hope they, Jerry included, can take a long break and do all of the healing that they need.
He seems like a really, really good guy. I'm glad he's still around and has such a good sense of humor about everything. He's a lucky man. May that luck continue to persist.🖖

I don’t have enough words to express how I feel. I can’t even imagine how it’s been for him. Jeremy is fortunate that his neighbor called for help and kept him alive until the chopper arrived. Jeremy's recovery is very incredible. I've been ICU nurse for 30yrs at very busy unviserty hospital . His injuries he's describing are so critical by themselves ruptured liver, pneumothorax , crushed ribs obvious head/face/airway injury to have multiple injuries and survive is a miracle . 🙏❤️ so happy for him
Apart from a miracle, it's also money. An ordinary man would have been crippled for life, or even dead.

I've given dozens and dozens of units of blood, FFP, Platelets to folks, resuscitated the same patient 15 times one night....patients that are not famous. We love you all

Good heavens. The fact that he thought about his poor nephew's trauma WHILE HE WAS ON THE GROUND bleeding and in massive amounts of pain. . . this guy is like the ultimate empathetic person.
It's crazy that all he could think about during the accident and throughout his recovery was what everyone else close to him was going through. Total class act. I honestly can't imagine what it would have been like to lose him only a few years after losing Chadwick. We're still getting over his loss!

I was in a bad car accident several years ago and was hospitalized for a month (and homebound for an additional month). My injuries weren't as extensive as Jeremy's, but they were pretty bad. Seeing him up and walking again after only four months is nothing short of a miracle and is super inspirational! Congratulations on the recovery, Jeremy! May the rest of your healing be swift and as painless as possible!!

My brother was electrocuted. He really could have died but somehow none of his organs were affected. He was also in the hospital for a month and has had multiple surgeries. Jeremys story reminds me a bit of him

Here in the UK we have "free healthcare" but it's only free at the point of service. Everyone is paying for it in our tax, it's not free. Neither is yours. Not trying to sound argumentative at all by the way :) Just a misconception a lot of people here make when they boast that we get free health care to Americans for example.

@@-jaydee- I was in a bad car accident several years ago. My injuries weren't as extensive as Jeremy's, but everyone I saw who saw my condition immediately after the accident and/or the shape of my car said I was lucky I wasn't killed. Two months later I was back on my feet (in pain most days, but slowly decreasing over time) when doctors thought I might be wheelchair-bound for anything from half a year up to permanently. So while his recovery is still incredible, it's not as unbelievable (or down to money) as you think, because I definitely didn't have Renner-level money during my recovery.
You can tell, he’s medicated by his speech. I mean he has to be in so much pain, going out, doing these publicly rounds. He still needs time to heal, so glad he’s getting better

Ive had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jeremy several times. He’s that person that’s so quiet and reserved until he’s comfortable with you and then he’s the funniest nicest person. We sat in the parking lot one day and laughed for like 45 min straight. I was heartbroken when I got the news of what happened. I’m so glad he pulled through

The fact he saved his nephews life and risked everything. The injuries he sustained were crazy. God bless him. Hope he recovers fully. The strength it must take to do that.

From what I did understand from other intervew, he didnt save his nephew. He thought he needs to do it, but no. Nephew was in his car and snowplow did hit him. Jeremy didnt see where his nephew is and step up outside to try to see him. And he did fall.
@@zziniop Exactly. Remmer was trying to stop the truck from being hit - his nephew's life was never in danger as I understood him say earlier in an interview. I am glad to see him back up and around and wish him nothing but the best.

Each time I watch or read something about this incredible man I find something even more amazing than the last. Wow! He’s here for a reason. Very much apparent even before the accident.

I imagine a lot of the moving around in the chair isn't so much energy as it is trying to get comfortable. Even on pain meds, it's gotta be hard to sit in one position for too long. But otherwise I agree - he seems more upbeat then usual, probably because before he was always tired from working so much.

He came to my town the other day to our amusement park. He was riding around in a cart, signing autographs, taking plenty of pictures with the fans, and was an amazing human being overall.

The medical team, first responders, neighbors, family members, everyone involved in keeping this man alive and in good spirits and out of the hospital so quickly... yall deserve medals, raises and high fives minimum 🤙

I also had a collapsed lung! It was genuinely a great week for me because I learned how to bounce back emotionally after learning the diagnosis. The nurses were so kind, too! Now, would I have kept up the smiles after suffering everything Jeremy went through? NO WAY! It takes a VERY special mindset to accept and evolve and heal the ways he did. What a guy!
Jeremy is one tough dude. After I heard about the accident, I honestly didn't think he was gonna make it. It's amazing how far he has come in only 3 months when considering the damage done to him.
Personally, I have a disabling disease and live in constant severe pain and I thought I was tough but he makes me feel like I'm a little bish about my pain. He has inspired me to push myself harder.
Same here. I just slack off and blame my pain and mobility problems instead of making my life and that of others better. Jeremy is inspirational.
@@ted7728 Are you implying I'm poor? Jk. It isn't just his healthcare. For him to come as far as he has took a lot of determination through painful P.T. It helps that he was in great shape when the accident happened but a lot of that is just him. I'm sure he is still in a lot of pain while trying to walk but he pushes through it.

I understand what he's been through. I was in a near fatal motorcycle accident that took 19 months to get better, I was only 23 when it happened, fought my way back but do have to use a walking stick, 38 years later

Jeremy Renner has been one of my biggest celebrity crushes for many years. I cried thinking he wasn't going to make it. He is one of the most empathetic, and just a wonderful person. He is a whole different kind of celebrity. I'm so happy he is going to be with us.

honestly I've never really had an opinion about him or thought about him, but felt really bad for him and his family when I heard about the accident. Seeing him here is incredible! Same, I had never seen him in anything but reading the headlines about his accident and then the threat of amputations had me rooting for him. So glad that he is on the road to recovery.

He’s honestly so inspiring to me. As someone with an autoimmune disease and chronic pain, I get depressed and really in my own world sometimes. After I watched his interview I got up and started moving. if he can go through all of that with that mindset, I can change mine. Love you Jeremy! ❤️

This made me smile so much. The fact that he survived at all is amazing, but to thrive and exude so much pure joy as he heals is just remarkable. He is such an inspiration to everyone but I would imagine especially to anyone who survives a catastrophic injury like his. I just love the absolute joy that is seeping from every pore even though he is surely still experiencing massive pain as his body is healing. The love and support of his family which seem to be such wonderful people is just heartwarming and so beautiful. He got out of a piece of heavy machinery and did not put the hand brake on, which was the cause of his accident.
He was given something special from a higher power and he takes that and turns it by giving back to children, families and communities to play it forward. What a inspirational mentor that we needed at this time, in this world today. He Is so grateful for getting through that obstacle and takes that Entergy to give back. There will never be enough words too explain what and absolutely heroic caring MAN that he truly is. He is LIKE a Guardian Angel and so truly blessed. He will teach all of us what it means to be a better person in our lifetime.

For all the great people we've lost in the last few years, I was very happy to see Jeremy making it through.

Angels were watching him. Everything was a miracle, his rescue, surgery, physical therapy, occupational therapy and his recovery is unbelievable. Every performed a miracle for him.
