Thank you so much for putting this together for the community. This should really help customers!
It’s my pleasure! And thank you for taking the time to watch and comment on the video! 🙏🏻
Thanks for this!! looking to get this as a first project car. You explained it better then other channels
old video but i just purchased a 2024. best video I have seen for the intercooler so far. really glad you compared the two cores side by side. factory cores are always lacking and heat soak so looking for this be the first thing I do to the car.
Definitely, I agree, this should really people’s first go to upgrade on these cars ! And congrats ! It’s definitely a great ride in all honesty, daily commute and fun at the same time
@@sfernandez816can you buy the intercooler without the piping or do you need the PRL upgrading piping to go along with the intercooler. Great video just had a question. Thanks
@@Arnold-dm2xt you can buy it without the piping that’s not a issue, but I can say if your thinking about buying the whole thing it would be better, cause your already spending a pretty penny on just the intercooler, might as well get the piping too, but do you really really need it asap not really
@@Arnold-dm2xt all depends on the direction of your build. You can always add the piping and fancy elbow later. My main goal is to reduce heat soak so I will probably only do the core. I'm trying to keep it a stockish daily driver.
I enjoyed the video! Thanks for all the little tips and tricks! Thumbs up
Thank you 🙏🏻
Just did mine watching your video appreciate it you bro 💯💪🏻
Glad to hear it bro legit 🙏🏻🙏🏻🫡
Good looking out my guy. Just waiting for a sale and I’m coppin
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing.
When installing gaskets, it is common practice to run the gasket down with some Vaseline
That's high quality shit bro
Need some videos of you driving with it on. I wanted hear it after video. But great video.
I got you
Keep these coming!!
I'll keep this video in mind when I do the same for my Integra. :^)
Awesome tutorial! just wanted to ask you did you get any codes after the installation of the Intercooler? I just bought a 2023 Honda civic HB and I’m currently making a list of the bolt on upgrades I want to instal but want to make sure I don’t get any code you know. Thanks in advance!
Nice work I will order one
sorry for stupid question, what is the benifit of the upgrade intercooler? and do you have to tune it after have it install? because i just got the HB sport touring and want to mods my car too
The PRL intercooler upgrade decreases charge air temperatures while increasing potential airflow. It increases turbo spool it gives you about 3-5 hp. You don’t necessarily have to tune it but if you want good results then I say you should, but overall what it really does to your car it’ll make it run much cooler, and cooler air is better for the turbo.
@@sfernandez816 thanks
Great video, what would happen to the car if you just installed the after market intercooler, does that make the car perform better or higher temp won’t effect the car? (Civic hatchback sport manual 2018 owner asking) thanks bro💪
If you install an aftermarket intercooler that’s obviously bigger then stock, you’ll get a difference in temperature, and it’ll slightly preform better as well with out a doubt 🙏🏻💪🏻 I would recommend upgrading
And thank you 🙏🏻
@@sfernandez816 thank u big dawg 💪
nice video thanks
Hey bro the logo PRL comes with the intercooler already?
No it comes with the stencil for you to spray it your self, that’s if you want to spray it
Ok any kind of spray bro?
@@erickalfaro7195 im assuming any kind of spray paint works, yes
Excellent video was waiting for a full install. Now how does it feel? Do you hear more turbo noises? Or still the same? Cause is a decent amount of money for only 3-5hp but yes definitely cooler is always better. Cheers
In a way yes, you can actually hear a little more turbo spool with it, and of the course with the prl lettering in front the car looks more aggressive in the front 😂
Ososik media actually ggained 20wtq just with intercooler no piping
If u buy the intercooler outlet also u need to Buy Intercooler piping ?? Or I can buy just the intercooler outlet?
Yes you need to buy the intercooler piping as well, if you notice only one side is using the stock 12mm bolts, and the other is the silicone tube
What does this do for the car in terms of actual gains? Has anyone been able to add much power to these 11th gens yet? I know they’re still fairly new.
I’m assuming it wouldn’t go into limp mode as easily. My car has been in limp mode twice fully stock and it’s a 22 civic si
It’s not much for more power but when you get it tuned it can make a little difference yes, but this is more for cooler air which is what the turbo likes.
Speaking from experience, I’ve been running the TSP stage 1 tune for about a week now. In either map two or map three, which really are the only two maps which go beyond factory boost, heat soak is a bitch. You might get a few minutes of fun before you’re capped off with readouts at 17 psi. This is definitely my next mod. Thanks for the video!
Lol they charge 20 bucks for that stencil now. Pretty scummy if you ask me
@@raymondamoroso2049no they don’t. I just bought one.
Did you notice any difference in power??
Where can my buy bumper clips ?
4:56 your end tank came with an L key bolt already installed on its side?
4:45
Is this necessary? I've been hearing that there's some issues with the stock one
Oem is like a heat stroke for the car, upgrading to a bigger intercooler is definitely good for the car it’s self, you don’t really gain lots of power but it’s definitely good for the longevity of the car and more cooler air
Worth putting it on a 2022 sport or no?
Not really
12:48 lmao
😭😭😭 I caught my self real quick
So basically if you have a 2021 take yoyr parte off and yse them in your 2023
