I will link this video to people that says PC gaming is expensive lol.
Wow, GTA V 31 fps on High 1080p? And consoles run it at 900/720p at medium LOL.
Great video as always!
kakoka1pro: Literally Proves exactly what you say, I usually use the PC's I build for a day when I give my opinion in the end.... this PC was great... even handled my CSGO competitive games for the entirety of my time with it.
Both the Xbox One and the PS4 run GTA V at 1080p high settings.
There is no "medium" for GTA V. Theres normal, high, and very high -- so in reality running GTA V at "high settings" is the equivalent of running it on medium.
Xbox One runs it at 720p and PS4 900p. Check your facts. Also you can lower the settings with this and get a smoother framerate.
Come on, you know PC is superior! :)
i.imgur.com/wylbb1k.png
They both run it at 1080p, the exact same frame rate.
Actually... Kuuko is right.

Budget-Builds Official but where do you live
Midoo Elmhlawy: I'm based in the United Kingdom
Budget-Builds Official where in london
Midoo Elmhlawy: Sorry if prefer not to be precise with my location, but I am based within England, hope this helps :D
You should have bought the Intel q6600 and done the bsel mod on the cpu, all you do is put 2 tiny bits of electrical tape on 2 cpu pins and it will automatically overclock the cpu from 2.4GHz to 3GHz.
Now it doesn't work on all motherboards but on all OEM machines i have worked on or upgraded for a friend or something like that this mod has always worked on OEM machines like you got there.
Just google Intel q6600 bsel mod if you haven't heard of it before there are loads of forums sits out there explaining what it does how it works and showing with pics what pins to cover up for the mod please it a bash and let me and others know what you think cheers.
Ive put plenty a small form factor machine through its paces. Its nice you could get the dvd drive back in. We saw the side of your head. Time to get in front of the camera perhaps?
I have no fear of the camera, don't worry...Just had been a long day so i look rather "Shiny" in this side view.
Retro Tech 100 you can see his face on the budget builds un official channel. The first video.
I was browsing and came across budget builds official second channel, budget builds un official. not sure if he's released it publicly, it has 2 videos. very funny though go check it out
Wong Wong that delid video lol
kakoka1pro I know. I like shit posting content like that it's great.
Install a low profile 1050ti and you’re golden
Nystally if you can afford a 1050ti, you might also go with a Pentium g4560
Mecrom no q6600
ItzzRobiii no hahaha no
Gaming XP yes
The power consumption is too high, and it would be heavily bottlenecked
Lol this channel is golden. How am I only seeing this stuff now?
Subbed.
I am stunned about the content of this channel: truly amazing, informative, altough it has got a nostalgic value also... my very first pc was a Pentium III on 450 MHZ, 128 MB SDRam, 15 GB Quantum Fireball HDD, and a 32 MB nVidia RIVA TNT2 Pro... and I remember when I first bought RAM and a CD-ROM into it. :) Absolutely brilliant, inviting, coherent, and with this good atmosphere... i know it's not much, but you definiately worth my subscription to your channel. Cheers, mate! :)
+Majin_Zed; Thanks man for the kind words, glad to know you enjoy my content.
Saw you comment on a RGinHD video. Watched this video, and its just like RGinHD. Subbed, put a gt1030 in it.
Still better then my pc
Loving your work, mate. I thought super budget builds were just for Americans, what with their ridiculously cheap hardware, but you've completely changed my perspective.
A few months ago, I was asking for advice on upgrading my PC, and Reddit thought I should lash my computer and build a Ryzen-based PC that was going to cost me around £700.
RUclips's budget builders have completely changed my perspective!
I've got a Dell optiplex 9010 low profile with 16 gigs of DDR 3 gt1030 i7-3770 120 gig SSD and a 1400x900 monitor and it crushes games for $250
Yeah i know its a giant bottleneck. I'm planning on putting a gtx 970 in it. When i bought the computer it had a Pentium so at the time the 1030 made sense. That and its on a 900p monitor so it runs games a little than 1080p.
But yeah I agree with you it doesn't crush everything. It does suck at running just cause 3.
@@WhatwouldRonalddo what? Now listen heres my specs i bought a dell precision for 100£ then i bought a xeon x5680 for 40£. Bought ram 24gb 2599mhz for 30€ and an rx 580 8gb red devil golden sample for 150€ (Used) so this pc costs about 300€ yeah same price as playstation 4 but far more powerfull+ this cpu wont even bottleneck an rtx 2080ti
@@subscribinkitmane1119 ok buddy
basically a 50£ pc matches the performance and settings and framerate of a £350 console, shows how the core 2 quad is the single best budget option for today if you already have a soxket 775 motherboard as they can get expensive
Xeon x5400 and e5400 series are even cheaper while using the same architecture. More work needed to make them work. www.delidded.com/lga-771-to-775-adapter/
well, i doesn’t match their performance, the consoles are about 1.3 times as powerful, but this rig still has better value, it’s 1/5 the price, so in terms of price:performance, this pc is a lot better
TBH I've been watching this channel for a while but I just went back and found this gem this has to be one of his best builds
Great video! I have a SFF Lenovo M90 PC with 8 GB of RAM and an Nvidia GT 1030. Add in a wired Xbox 360 controller and this set up basically replaces my need for a PS4. The PS4 does have a lot of exclusives but just about all the games I want to play are also available on Steam and you can't beat those Steam Flash sales and Humble Bundle deals. I'll be doubling my RAM to 16 GB later down the road. It is nice to have that option with this set up. Thanks for the video.
i remember about 7 years ago when i starting doing hardcore pc building i used core 2 duos and first and then i started playing a game called dungeon siege III and noticed the game would barely run it would run around 30 fps bout would have stuttering , i bought a q6600 and it stayed near a solid 60fps at 3ghz on the q6600 i got real big into core 2 quads from then on till i hit the i5 2500k and 2600k and then i'm currently rocking 4930k and 3960x in my living room and bedroom systems , but i do still have some systems in my spare rooms with core 2 quads in them , i still am impressed with what they are able to do for 10+ year old chips
you look like gordon ramsay
He's the Gordon Ramsay of Computers
He really does
U look like Hitler no offence
You're saying he ISN'T Gordon 😕
And RUclips is recommending a £1400 pc on a budget builds channel ffs
You are going to change the whole world
Genius!
My dad got that pc when it first came out. It's still our family pc
Acer got this case design when they bought eMachines and they seem to have loved it. They used it for a while it for their own prebuilts. They switched out the faceplate and the motherboard, but the basic design in the same. Even the PSU is the same. Of course, that is the most difficult part to replace since it's a proprietary design. For the GPU I went with the HD7570 for the GDDR5 memory and the fact that they're much much easier to find online than other more powerful low profile single slot Radeon cards.
I just built a budget pc for about $140 and it works very well
MagicTurtle Gaming specs?
Master Kek i5 3570k, gt 1030, 24gb ram, 600 watt semi modular psu
MagicTurtle Gaming nice i did one for 200 a i5 2500 8 gb of ram and a hd6950 but your one is overkill man
24gb?
lol
MagicTurtle Gaming way to much ram and way to much of a power supply
Are we not gonna talk about that clean spin at 3:49?
you always chose weird places to do some parts of your videos, but I enjoy it lol
you should do the bsle mod to compatible lga 775 chips so you can get the best performance out of them.
nathan kennedy prebuilt board, won't have BIOS support, although Acer motherboards at the time would boot with unsupported CPUs, so I'm not sure.
Thats what the bsel tape mod is for. It's changing the freq, not the cpu ID.
I can watch your videos over and over and over again...and I do.
Cheers
Life pro tip: you should really really use a star/X pattern when screwing in a heatsink like that. Screwing it in clockwise puts a lot of pressure on one side and could possibly damage something if you're not careful.
That core 2 quad is a good processor, considering its age and cost but that 12mb cache is misleading. It has 2 separate 6mb caches, but only benefit multiple threads and no thread can access more than 6mb at once. Truly separate caches. Nice video.
This was like my first computer, it was also an Acer and kept turning off
the gtx1050 would be an awesome graphics card to put there
Tips On The Fly nah its not the GPU it's more of the bad cpu
the 8670 is mostly a media center graphics card... you can see the GPU is the limiting factor in doom, the least cpu dependent game on the list of tests. The gtx1050 roughly matches the 680, so it's not that crazy to match it with a q9450, and for 1080p it's probably very fine with that cpu. it also has a lp version on the msi side of things... so... i still stand for my choice, i would still go for a 1050 with this system.
It yes cpu bottleneck if it was a 3rd gen i3 or around that power a 1050 would work great
man I miss those horizontal/desktop factor pcs, I wish they were more common these days
Videos like yours help to stop the myth that pc gaming is expensive.
You can get used parts or prebuilt pc's.
Even if you buy new parts, you can get a price as good if not better than a console.
Ummm who disliked?
Console User's
Reza ha, you're probably not wrong
+Reza yes
console peasants
Joey Greathouse I did it to mine and it ran fine for 4 years with 60 C° avg, oof
hoop up a wireless gamepad, set steam to boot into big picture mode on start-up and you got yourself a cheap little steam machine
"Steam 360"
PC enthusiast and a Beady Eye fan god damn
i would say some of the tech from 2007-2012 has produced some of the most long lasting and relevant computer hardware , especially in the intel cpu market
quality and great videos
i think you ll become a great youtuber.
good luck!
Great video as always guys and really relaxing to watch after a hard days work.
Cheers Dude
BBO, the only man who still use ddr2 RAMs
got a quad core 8 threds 8gig mini pc for 50€ in 2021!!!!! i'm so proud
Well, I'm having a hard time trying to buy one of these on ebay. It's not that I couldn't find one of these cheap, but the problem for me are the shipment cost which most times surpases the price of the thing I'm trying to buy itself. I searched for local second hand sells, but they are even expensive than Ebay + shipment costs, so I guess the only thing I can do is to be pacient and wait.
Good video anyway. I get surprise on how damn well can perform that old hardware If you know what to do.
3:50 Nice Kelpy G
B-b-b-but you have to spend $3824728 on upgrades every week
DotCD no
/////sarcasm
This reminds me of my Dell Inspiron 660s that now has an Intel Core i5 3470 and a gt 1030
Core 2 Quad beast ♥
What console you're talking about while you using C2Q ♥
Aah the days when 6 gb were enough, sweet old days...
awesome....!!! its more than enough for e-sport. can u make some video for gaming in small or compact PC also?
a 5mm hex driver makes taking out the DVI/VGA hex screws way easier
The whole rig cost less than COD WWII Lmao
Love This Funky jazz music
That'd be Beady Eye.
That heatsink may be able to cool anything, BUT WAIT! Can it cool ramen noodles?
Where on earth do you snipe all your second hand parts from? Everywhere I look people are trying to sell 10 year old PCs for £100 lol.
sha106b non-techy people are the ones overpricing their shit
Budget builds official plz try getting a better camera.great video as always
This is a very old video. I now use a Panasonic GH2.
You and lowspecgamer my favourite youtubers srsly, support the low spec gaming community a lot I'm thinking of building a sff pc with a hp compaq pro and a radeon R7 250, should I do it?
Nice video. Try putting it in a bigger case with faster GPU. It should make it even better :)
Will look into it
Mind blown. Amazing build as always.
No joke that's my pc
Wow i have a gateway with the exact same board specs lol
Where are you getting the drivers for the dell HD 8670? From the dell website or from AMD website? Love your videos so much! keep up the good work and DONT STOP MAKING VIDEOS!
+BitzenBitez TechQuest: AMD Website.
Tune!
2:03 you should really screw coolers down in a cross pattern, so it smashes down the paste evenly and the load on the springs / tension is even.
2:50 you can use a dremel and pliers to cut down and bend the long plate into a low profile bracket.
3:35 almost 15 seconds of a blank screen should have been cut out.
This is a very old video, the 15 Seconds was left for dramatic effect.
Hey you say that the AMD Radeon HD8670 is a 20W card but that is its TDP (thermal design power) which is the maximum heat it outputs.
Its power draw is less than or equal to 75W as it has no pcie power connectors.
I am reall y curious to where and how you get theese computers for so cheap ???
Sebastian Hogan
Ebay, car boot sales, bins, etc no joke
The thing about I hate ssf PC's is that I have seen quite a few that use bga CPUs
just bought that setup for 107 euros, gonna upgrade it which a fx 6300 & gtx 1050ti, saved more than 90% of my money, thanks ebay lol.
AMD Phenom II x3 B75
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4 GB) 1866Mhz DDR3
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
XFX ATI Radeon HD 5450, 1GB DDR3,
WD Caviar SE 500GB SATA
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 460W ATX
Sharkoon VG5-V Gaming ATX
1x Xcilence case cooler
Zalman Tower cooler
£107 is a great price... Get an FX6300 Overclock it to 4.2Ghz+ and Then you'll have a great experience :D
i will mate, btw its ma first gaming pc, cant wait lol, nice video & build you got there :)
This is more inbetween 7th and 8th gen, but anyway I recently picked up my second pc (Acer Veriton x4610g) for 110AUD with these specs:
-i3 2120 (thinking of getting 2500k, but it's like almost 100 AUD so i'm not sure if that's really worth it.)
-12gb ram (including 4gb which I had lying around)
-hd 7750
0:33 Coo-LA!
Pair this with a radeon WX4100 (single slot RX560) alongside a 771 xeon and it'll kick proper ass
OMG this runs better than my gaming PC. Lol
I REALLY need some of those £5 HDDs
CeX has them.
£8 plus its lucky dip as to whether they have them and if they work
Great video, I like sff PCs! I have a Dell XE that I am putting a Q9550 in.
Retro Adventure my main system has a 9550
The GPU seems similar to the Xbox One version. I think you'd do better if you put the resolution scale on DOOM to 900p to compare as that is how Xbox One runs most of the time in 40-60 fps range. I wouldn't be too surprised if it came close.
Should of paired it with 8GB + Q9650. Great Video btw :)
RhysPlaysMC he had 8gb, and a q9650 is $50
Nice for overclocking though.
Presumably, the random 1gb stick was for the igpu
2 questions.. 1. Did you notice any throttling? 2.Technically, with this build can you put a gtx 1050 low profile for better performance?
haha! didnt expect beady eye on one of your videos.
Just found your channel and I gotta say, I am loving your content :).
Is that a good idea to be touching the traces or solder joints on the GPU? I noticed you were holding it that way. My old science teacher once told me that as soon as you touch ANY exposed electrical points of a computer board it's immediatly fried!
That isnt how anything works
We have the same mic and stand wtf. Found mine in the basement from an old Guitar Hero game and tested it as a joke and found that it actually sounded pretty good.
And I got the stand from a crappy mic I bought from Amazon
+Bozik: Ahahhahha I only upgraded to a cheap Samson Meteorite cause I got it for £12. It was a good mic for what I paid.
you said the cooler looks like i could cool anything, but can it cool an amd threadripper?
SightseeingSkyrim: Most likely.... A Core i9 may melt it though.
What a build
Nice video, greetings from Indonesia :)
The only problem with a cheaper pc with used parts is the longevity, my ps1 lasted me 7 Years plus, my ps2 was solid for 5-7 Years and it still works if I want to play it, the PS3 I have is reaching a decade and still works.
I’ve never gone 2-3 years without something just giving out on my pc, which has always only had premium parts in it.
Strange as I've got plenty of parts from as far back as the 80s and they all work fine . Maybe you need to monitor temps and ensure things are clean.
Budget-Builds Official I think you may be right in terms of cleaning as recently it’s gotten a little dusty, but the gpu never sees anything above 65 at load and cpu is a 4770k known to run pretty hot, maxes out at 75c under load with a h100i. Its in a huge nzxt case with proper cable management.
Maybe I’m just unlucky with motherboards 😂🙃
Bought one of these a while ago and thought of doing this. I then found out I had a 210w PSU
The GT 1030 is way better than that amd card man, it is more expensive, but is the way to go with this pc specs. :)
Thank you
Would a gt1030 work for this PC?
nice build
Damn dos deals do
Hi. I am also from UK and I was wondering. Where do you get your used pc parts as I am interested in making my own. Like what kind of places/websites do you buy them from?
Just watched this and your i3 sff hp 8200 vid. Am I right in thinking that this core 2 quad build outperformed the i3?
Your content always good!
Damn same performance as xbox one on gta v for wwwaaayyy less👌👌👌
Come on budgetbuildsofficial whens the next build coming out??
Probably this week sometime
How would your setup compare to this:
CPU: i3 2120 3.30ghz
Ram: 4gb ddr3
GPU: zotac GT 1030 2gb Gddr5 LP
I'm still a console (PS4) "peasant" lol starting my first budget build this month..
subbed . Nice video and channel
What pc do you have as your main user
CPU: Core i3 6100
RAM: 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz (Single Channel)
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 285
HDD: 1TB WD Blue
HDD 2: 320GB Hitatchi Deskstar (for Footage)
SSD: OCZ 120GB SSD
Budget-Builds Official you could probably sell you gpu for a decent price right and upgrade due to the mining craze and amd gpus going for ludicrous amounts
Halos Superman: How much do you reckon I could get? I mean I love the R9 285 but if I can get a better deal on another card I may part with it :D
Budget-Builds Official completely forgot that a 285 only has 2gb of vram meaning it's price is more than likely not inflated (2gb of vram is not enough for mining.) Sorry for the misinformation.
Halos Superman: Thanks for the help anyway, I may have to look into the mining craze
Could it run black ops 3 on 60fps tho?
IirOW NOPE
IirOW Mabey at 720p
Why would you want to play BO3 tho
No...
But bop2 runs at 60fps on med/low?
I can never find these pcs for as cheap as you and same with the GPU's you use so I haven't had any success with a build yet. After all my budget is very small.
the xbox one killer etc is a HP 8300 with 8gb ram a i5 3470 then put a 1050ti in it, 80 dollar pc, 150 dollar gpu, high - very high gta v 90-110 fps 1080p lol
That graphics card tdp can't be right, can it? From my searches, it looks like the HD8670 card is more like 70-80 watts max? Correct me if I'm wrong, because this card's framerates are much better than I expected watching this, for such a low powered piece of hardware.
