  • Endometrial polyps are a common cause of abnormal and heavy menstrual bleeding in reproductive age women. The diagnosis can sometimes me missed on an ultrasound. Therefore, when the abnormal bleeding does not respond to the usual medical management or curettages, endometrial polyps should always be kept in mind and hysteroscopic evaluation of uterine cavity should be done. Question from the topic has been recently asked in the NEET PG exam.

Thank you for the summary. I recently encountered a 24 weeks gestation lady with a polyp protruding from the cervical os and I would be happy if you would discuss the possible management

Beautiful explanation. Hi I want to know some people don’t want to get excized. In spite of irregular bleeding. What r the complications of leaving it.

      3. Infertility
      And some more

What if a person is of higher stroke risk due to migraines and small cerebral vessels? Doesn't progesterone increase stroke risks?

As one of the cause of the polyp is low progesterone , after polyps are removed, is there medication to increase progesterone and increase fertility? Is there a risk of conceiving while having polyps?

      So was my friend.
They removed polyp and did DNC.
They wanted to do a complete hysterectomy but she radically changed her diet and lifestyle and all pre cancerous cells disappeared. Since it went away she did not need hysterectomy but she’ll have to exercise and eat Whole Foods diet for life to keep pre cancerous cells from returning. Also keep constipation at bay to help stop estrogen form building up in the body.
Inulin in form of Jerusalem artichoke truly helps with constipation.

Also flaxseeds that you freshly grind up yourself can help get rid of some estrogen
